These chapters revolve around nine characters introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three fan-favorites from previous titles, and a brand new addition to the samurai roster.

This game tells the tales left untold by "Samurai Warriors 4," and from the point of view of the characters themselves, rather than the previous title's focus on the various regions and clans of the time. Drawing upon some of the new characters introduced in "Samurai Warriors 4" as well as other popular characters, this title depicts the stories of these characters, enabling players to experience the untold stories behind the drama of the era.
In addition to the exhilarating battlefield gameplay that the series is known for, even more strategic elements have been added to make the gameplay more tactical than ever before. From Hyper Attacks being ineffective while in red zones to an increased emphasis on morale and improved AI patterns for enemy soldiers and officers, a greater focus on tactical gameplay has been added to all areas of the game.

Furthermore, the event scenes that are the backbone of the story, along with the background environments, camerawork and effects have increased the dramatic aspects of the game to allow for a story with even more passion and depth.

In short, Samurai Warriors 4-II is another game in the series that will be lots of fun if you like fighting massive mobs with a cast of different characters including some of your own custom characters.

Thankfully for Samurai Warriors 4-II, the core of the game works well enough that despite its flaws it’s still a very, very fun game.

It has to be said I was excited about this game coming out.
As the PC is finally having a steady stream of decent mousou games being released.I have played every mousou in existence. I can safely say this is one of the more complete samurai warriors games I have played.

The gameplay is nice and very addictive despite the repetitiveness due to the genre, the musics and Japanese feudal style (Sengoku era) are awesome and if the graphics are not amazing, the framerate runs at a smooth 60 fps with no tearing on PS4, even with hundreds of ennemis on screen. If you wanna kick thousand of asses while leveling up cool characters with variety of weapons and cool abilities, take a look at this game.

What's new compared to Samurai Warriors 4 ?

    - There is a new character added to the 55 already available (yeah, just one, but a really nice one)
    - A brand new story mode more focused on characters
    - The Chronicle mode has been replaced by a cool Endless Castle mode, including Survival and Challenge modes
    - You can merged mounts and weapons to create better ones
    - New experience grid system to increase your attributes
    - A full character creation mode, from A to Z
    - On-line coop for all modes
    - Few other improvements like IA, visual effects...

There is a dearth of games like this on PC and this is a fairly competent port technically, though it suffers from a total lack of mouse control similar to Devil May Cry 4.

Coming from Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes on the PS3, the action and characterizations of the various warlords here are considerably less over the top, though still pretty silly in their own right. If you have no previous experience with either series, imagine Japan's warring states period reimagined as a shonen-esque martial arts anime. Characters wear flamboyant garb, yell their attack names out and have inexplicble magic-like abilities. One of the characters is even a straight-up sorceress.

Like other Mosou games and games with similar elements of many, many levels and collectible items like the Naval Ops series on PS2, the Choro-Q games, or Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Phantom Pain, SW 4-II is an incredibly dense experience. There are multiple five-level story campaigns, a range of difficulties, weapons and horses to collect, dozens of characters, a free mode where you can use any character in any story level, support for custom characters with the ability to import images from your hard drive to use as symbols, and a survival mode with no less then a hundred floors, and associated one-off challenge levels. If you enjoy the core gameplay enough, you will find many, many hours to spend here. If not, you will likely find it bland and repetitive, as there are certainly games out there with more variety.

I only wish someone would make a Musou-style game set in either Warhammer universe, or something.

Gameplay is almost nothing different than the last 8 version in DW, even those solder is nothing different over those years, the only maybe noticable is that they add some more characters each year, but they are completely not balance and some is really crappy, also have no real special thing between them

Its already bad, not worth 50$ , and DLC is over priced, and they said Western is no appreciated their game
