A huge expansion, which manages to give the fans countless hours of new strategic fun, without breaking the core balance of the game. Even though it's time for a new installment, Brave New World will be very hard to pass for all the Civ fanatics out there.

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions' Adventure Mode is the best way to play Geometry Wars. Engaging, addictive, hard to master. If you love Geometry Wars, you can't miss this entry in the series.

Ratchet & Clank's comeback on PS4 is a truly enjoyable and intoxicating third person shooter. It really doesn't add anything to a well known formula, but it's a blast while it lasts.

A good successor to the original Valkyria Chronicles, with some new stuff. It's a pity the game is so stuck in its past.

Football Manager 2021 is the best episode ever of the series on the pitch, where the experience is nearly perfect in terms of simulation, while off the pitch the game has really a clumsy and obnoxious user interface. Overall, the experience is great and the football world feels tense, realistic and dynamic as never before, but there's still more room to improve the game in terms of narration, flow and emotional storytelling.

Kirby and the Lost Land is one of the best games in Kirby's history. The renewal is limited, but everything works well and there is a desire to feel important and to live a "real" adventure that has rarely been found in the story of the pink hero.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is what we hoped for: a reconfirmation. Asobo has built a sequel in an almost artisanal way that knows perfectly where he has to bet his chips, where he has to stop and where there was no need to put his hand. The end result is once again a surprise, but for different reasons. A Plague Tale: Requiem has what it takes to make it better than its predecessor. It is true, I may have shown a certain mild disappointment on the graphic aspect but, given the starting point, signaling a slight improvement, even though it may be below expectations, still places the game as excellent example. Also because, A Plague Tale (the series) is not that, it never was. It has always been a memory to go through, it has always been the story of Amicia and Hugo. A story that, I bet, will remain in your memory. In the memory of the video game.

Three Kingdoms is one the best, if not the very best, historical Total War game. The strategic gameplay is especially compelling, and almost Paradox-like in depth. Still, the lack of variety caused by the limited setting widens the gap with the much more spectacular, and overall more enjoyable, Warhammer 2.

A great second half for a great graphic adventure. If you love classic horror you cannot miss it… unless you’re allergic to huge pixels.

An in-depth wargame featuring the titutar Sengoku Jidai, the Japanese invasion of Korea and some other interesting scenarios. Overall, a very good battle simulator.

Thronebreaker is an interesting spin-off, with a clever puzzle design and an interesting atmosphere. But its story could have been so much better.

Graphically appealing, Far Cry 4 reincarnates the gameplay of its marine old-gen form into the mystical and evocative Himalayan setting. The transmigration of Far Cry's soul into a new (re)generation body is successfully complete: the Nirvana of open world FPS is a step nearer.

A very good arcade adventure game, with a beautiful sense of style and some very good level design. It's also a good sequel, even though it feels less ambitious and complex than the previous games in the series.

Terraria on PS Vita is a must buy game for every owner of the Sony's handheld. This is probably the best port so far, thanks to the dual control's nature of PS Vita, finally properly used.

Outer Wilds is a brilliant Sundance Sci-Fi experience, with a perfect balance of space exploration, mystery solving and storytelling. The solar system designed by Mobius Digital is an outstanding playground, full of odd surprises and unique events. Above all, it's a place worth exploring and it’s perfectly integrated into the time loop structure of the game. If you love to feel a genuine sense of discovery and adventure, it’s definitely your game.

To replay the restyling of the reboot of Tomb Raider, a rent is probably the best solution if you have already played the original game. On the contrary, this (graphically) Definitive Edition is definitely the must-buy version for those who have not met the young new Lara yet.

StarCraft Remastered is the old StarCraft with a new coat of paint. This is what the fans wanted, this is what Blizzard delivered. The core gameplay remains insanely good, but a lot of mechanics and UI limitations show the age of the game, especially if compared to StarCraft II.

Manifold Garden its a game about changing: from the changing-gravity mechanic to the high variety of gameplay, the game design defines an interesting first person puzzle game with a lot of exploration in Escher-style. A good game that sometimes just suffers a bit of emptiness due to the lack of narrative aims, but a must-have for all puzzle lovers.

Ni No Kuni II is a little too easy, risking capitulating for such a small but fundamental element. However, the heavy, intense experience offered by Level 5's is so powerful that it's impossible to get away from the TV. It's an internal contradiction, a compromise you have to descend by, to enjoy one of the most exciting videogame worlds ever made.
