OlliOlli World is simply brilliant. It's a hymn to gameplay, joy and the search for the perfect run. Mixing up old school platforming and a very keen skate simulation, Roll7 created a clever, fun and compelling adventure on wheels.

Shadow of Mordor is not just a great action adventure game, with a smooth combat system and a lot of things to do and discover, but a real taste of what the new generation of consoles can do. Mordor is a (beautiful) and vivid place that has its own life (tanks to Nemesis System) and in which Talion is just a variable, and not the ruler. That position is already taken by the Lord of the Rings.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! is a short but overwhelming experience. If you like English humor it will hardly leave you unsatisfied. Although it lacks a real challenge, the unique combination of the extreme imagination of the developers (who indulge in often unexpected, always ingenious changes of scene and tone) and the effectiveness of the gags, well conveyed by the voice actors and excellently underlined by the graphic style and soundtrack, make it a game difficult to miss for fans of graphic adventures.

Ball X Pit is further proof of the extraordinary creativity of the independent gaming scene. It's a title that knows its history well, drawing on classics such as Arkanoid, Tetris, and Breakout, and using them as a foundation to build a modern, brilliant, and surprisingly layered experience. The combination of RPG elements, management mechanics, roguelite components, and moments of pure bullet hell creates a unique game that is both frenetic and strategic. The gameplay loop is solid, satisfying, and capable of keeping the player in front of the screen for hours without noticing. The difficulty curve is well calibrated: challenging but never frustrating, always offering a stimulating and rewarding challenge. Artistically inspired by arcade atmospheres and accompanied by sophisticated sound design. A game that truly takes you into the abyss and manages to make that journey so enjoyable that you won't want to come back up.

A timeless classic, restored with care and respect: System Shock 2 remains a deep and unforgettable experience.

Pokémon Ultrasun and Ultra Moon is an enhanced version of its predecessors and it keeps all of their quality. Unfortunately, there are few new and actually noteworthy features. Also, from a technical point of view, it still has some problems. Necrozma's story could have been managed much better: like this, it's almost a copy with a different ending of the one we saw in Sun and Moon.

Shin Megami Tensei V is a severe JRPG, at times even a bit 'heavy, but capable of standing out thanks to its flawless integralism in building an extraordinary gameplay.

Octopath Traveler 0 is a fine addition for the series, unifying the narrative while expanding the tactical depth of its renowned combat system. It still has minor flaws here and there, but overall is as solid as the premises suggested.

Creative, intuitive and long lasting: Planet Coaster is the best park-builder on the market.

Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign, even with its flaws and the sense of a project in some way… unfinished, is an extraordinary fighting game and a must buy for anyone who loves the genre.

Apparently chaotic and impossible to control, TxK is in fact a perfectly designed game, immersed in a psychedelic tempest. A great old school shooter, with tight controls and superb level design.

FIFA 17 introduces in football games a thrilling, if limited, journey. All in all is the "same" enjoyable and rich game, now visually more polished than ever.

Gears 5 is still the same game it has always been, but in Katie it finds a fresh, new character with a more intriguing story.

As a debut title from a new indie team, it's difficult to imagine how things could have gone better: Gray Color Games has indeed managed to create a charming and well-crafted investigative adventure that every wannabe detective should really consider playing.

Salt and Sanctuary is a delightful, long-lasting and addictive mix between a soulslike and a metroidvania. A very appreciated starter, for all those who are waiting for the main course (Dark Souls III).

Vainglory is not just one of the best good looking games, but one with the finest gameplay. MOBA never feels so right on mobile platform. Until now.

Something more could be done regarding graphics and additions/improvements to the game formula, but Dark Souls Remastered remains a successful re-release of an extraordinary game.

One more great work from Telltale Games. These guys prove to be really good at writing stories, not only dramatic ones.

Gears of War is back with a very solid entry in the beloved franchise: the lack of courage and the apparent fear of taking risks prevents Gears of War 4 from entering the absolute elites of the genre, yet with its compelling campaign and the usual, stellar multiplayer, this remains one hell of a ride.
