Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is a barely average game. It's got some nice ideas, but they don't translate in a really interesting and fun game.

While the Tokyo-based setting and the political undertones initially seem intriguing, they quickly devolve into shallow execution. The game's graphics, combat system, and soundtrack also suffer from mediocrity. Overall, Reynatis appears to be another missed opportunity from Furyu Corporation, relying on big names but delivering an ultimately forgettable experience.

Elex is a raw diamond full of flaws but with too much value to consider it as an ugly and wrong game. Give it time, be patient and it will capture you.

Open Roads is a first-person adventure game that focuses on the mother-daughter relationship and uses dialogue as its primary narrative tool, in addition to the classic environmental exploration typical of the genre. Overall, it is a very intimate and enjoyable experience that actually feels like a family road trip, but it ends up being too ephemeral to make an impression, due to a somewhat abrupt unraveling of the mystery that serves as the narrative pretext for the adventure, and a series of stylistic choices that take some of the power away from the story's emotional impact.

A decent Mario Party game, nicely adapted for portable gaming, but not very well balanced and with a poorly executed single player mode.

Kirby Battle Royale is a missed opportunity, too repetitive and short lived.

An indie Wii U exclusive with personality, style and a very intriguing gameplay. The difficulty spikes in the action sequences could be too much for some people.

Jump Force is a very disappointing game and not only because of the choice to set the narrative on our planet. The low-deep combat system and the clumsy technical department outline a raw game, though full of interesting material to draw on. Paradoxically, the singular artistic direction is only the last of the problems of the game, which sees in its encyclopedic nature the only truly good element.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is an honest game that might be worth checking out if you're interested in the setting or in its mixture of (light) RPG elements, action and stealth. Just don't expect anything groundbreaking.

Narratively rich in cues and revelations, this sequel by TOYBOX is expressly dedicated to fans of the first Deadly Premonition, of which it captures history, characters and suggestions. Difficult, otherwise, to fully enjoy the one element that barely holds the entire production together: a fascinating story, framed by a surreal aura, deliberately over the top and quoting to the point of exhaustion.

A pleasant diversion in horror style for Lara Croft's fans, although between locations already seen and a too modest difficulty.

Submerged is a poorly executed adventure game in which you have to climb to the top of a bunch of buildings emerging from a forgotten city swallowed by the ocean, looking for supplies for your wounded little brother.

Drawn to Death is somehow fun and gives its best thanks to the crazy and gross art direction and vocabulary, but it has several flaws when it comes to being as quick and effective as you would expect from a game that basically insults your mother every time it has a chance to do so.

A good tennis simulation that, despite a few flaws and frustrating controls, has managed to achieve a much better result than the original game.

Spellforce II: Demons of the Past is an old-looking game, both in graphics and gameplay. There is some kind of narrative value here, but will appeal only to faithful fans of the series.

Valkyria Revolution is a rather canonical JRPG, seeking its own identity within the SEGA gaming universe, succeeding only in part. The combat system is unreliable, and its hybrid nature does not fully exploit the interesting ideas of which the game is still dotted. The Media.Vision game stands out for the topics dealt with, the great atmosphere and the extraordinary OST. It is a shame that the heart of gameplay is not as powerful.

A very nice "couch multiplayer" game, sadly with no option for single player (no bots!) and online multiplayer.

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is a boring game, plain and simple. Its execution is often generic and shallow, its characterization is lackluster and its level design predictable. If you’re looking for a shoot’em up to play with a friend while chatting over all the time... please look somewhere else for something more affordable.

If you can tolerate backtracking, a bit of repetitiveness, and a fragmented narrative, Funko Fusion might appeal to you due to its sheer volume of content, its LEGO-esque gameplay, and its cinephile verve.

Ethan: Meteor Hunter is a deep and extremely challenging game. At times it gets too challenging, though, and it lacks the personality needed to emerge in a crowded genre.

Rush Bros runs fast, but its heart is not able to keep its pace: a rat race against the clock can be a fun experience, but the road to the glory is blocked by flaws. And there are a bunch of better choices in the platform genre, like Super Meat Boy and Dustforce.
