11bit studios brings us a really adult, complex, original and innovative view of the war. Instead of shooting anything that moves it puts you on the weakest side of the war: the civil one. Mixing survival and strategy mechanics it's a really fresh approach to the war, but the gameplay is too repetitive for it to be considered a masterpiece.

Honor of Kings is a free to play MOBA for mobile that does what it says it can do. Its accessibility means that many new players won't be overwhelmed and its gameplay is solid and addictive. However, it lacks more originality and has a few too many monetisation systems.

Good Job! is a crazy "working class" puzzle where you accomplish daily tasks (bring Wi-Fi to an area, clean de dirty floor...) with methods as destructive as very uncommon. All with very attractive visuals, local co-op and other nice touches that make it very attractive, especially for those who are looking for fresh and original experiences.

Dontnod revisits their universe with a narrative-heavy video game filled with difficult choices and supernatural powers. This time, though, they show courage by distancing themselves from the story of the original game and by discussing complicated themes. Complex, political and with a powerful message, everybody should play Life is Strange 2.

It's not going to be the game of the year, but it is a great example of both light RPG adventures and those games that make you crazy with their decisions. Pure Don't Nod with an extra show.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition combines the best of both worlds to form a product than can please even the biggest musou opposer. It also has tons of content, but the lack of true new adds makes it difficult to recommend to those who played the Wii U or 3DS versions.

The Farm 51 signs an unique approach to survival games, mixing the formula with elements from the RPG or management genre, and it does it right. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions are superior, but retain some of the flaws from the previous ones (lacklustre IA, visual glitches...). If those are polished, it could be a greater experience.

Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town is a wonderful return to the past that gives a good facelift to the original Game Boy Advance game. Despite not taking risks, its formula is very successful and delighted to all lovers of farm simulators, management and RPGs.

As other big sport sims, MLB The Show 22 offers a solid proposal, rich on gameplay modes and options that make it approachable by anyone, regardless its age or skill, although the "pay to win" component and expensive pack and card prices affect the final impression.

Telltale triumphs again with a story as good as the original material, although we lack the feeling of being part of the main events.

It has great ideas, good graphic design, personality... but often you won't know what you are doing because it's a little bit confusing. Even worst it's that it lack content (only 5 levels).

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is a good step forward in the saga, with few but successful changes: the Spin Dash movement enriches the gameplay, and its very flexible difficulty guarantees devilish challenges while making sure nobody gets frustrated. Add up a mostly successful multiplayer modes and fun is guaranteed all summer long.

Need for Speed Unbound does not reinvent the wheel, but it does tune it. Criterion Games wanted to stand out with its new artistic style and has succeeded. We are not facing the best driving game of the year, but we do see an NFS that wants the saga to return to the highest categories. Fun, fast and furious.

A rock-solid fighting system and a brilliant technical performance will convince you to enjoy its great online brawls. It lacks some interesting options, tough, and it only features 16 fighters. It will become better and better in the future.

25 years after its original release we still love this cyberpunk adventure. The new filters and rewind options don´t add much to the original, but Flashback didn´t need those kinds of improvements. Physical edition is also great.

A "Soulsvania" game with its own character, that draws artistic inspiration from the spanish Easter imagery and Goya's paintings las pinturas, both in the visual and the narrative. In gameplay terms, it's a superb and hard adventure that mixes with intelligence ideas from the lesser linear Castlevanias with Dark Souls mechanics.

Life is Strange: Before the Storm presents itself without riddles, but with purity, to offer us an excellent narrative adventure that helps us to complement Chloe's story and other holes of Arcadia Bay's life. Despite its shorter duration, it has not lost its charm. The extra episode, Farewell, will thrill you to tears.

Master Detective Archives: Rain Code is a great detective and murder game that strives to take visual novels a little further with mini-games, RPG-like combat, scenario exploration and other mechanics, while exhibiting a superb technical aspect, even with occasional performance problems.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree establishes itself as a truly remarkable soulsvania that, without reaching heights of excellence, manages to stand out above many other titles thanks to a solid combination of combat, narrative and visual design.

XCOM 2 is one of the best turn-based tactical strategy games. It has a deep game system, the design is very good and it has a great sound. However, the switch to Nintendo Switch is not as good as it should be. It has a lot of bugs and graphic clippings, but if you want a strategy game in Switch, it's one of the best.

For a debut game, my sincere applause to Ironwood Studios. Not only they have taken roguelite formula to new highs, integrating driving, deep survival mechanics and a captivating science fiction story, which gives sense to their original world. Despite the bugs or the fact that the roguelite formula doesn't appeal to you, it has "something".

Tails of Iron 2 Whiskers of Winter is a good and fun sequel that offers enough to keep you loving the soulslike RPG universe created by the humble Odd Bug Studio. However, lacking the wow factor of the first instalment of the saga and with some little errors, this game could have used a little something new in terms of design.

Without revolutionizing the genre, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story does everything it sets out to do very well. In this way, it will satisfy both MOBA fans and those looking for a complete and content-laden turn-based RPG.

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster is a great opportunity to discover, or replay, two role-playing gems from the GameCube era. Although the visual improvement is evident, Bandai Namco could have done more, as translating Baten Kaitos Origins or polishing the technical hiccups. Even with that, both are great adventures, with a great combat system.

Quantum Break may fail as a transmedia project. The 4 real action episodes start well but they get worse in the end. On the other hand, Quantum Break does achieve what it promised as a game: a fun combat system with cool time powers, it's graphically awesome and it has a great story. Sure, it will get as many fans as haters but that's the price of trying to do new things.

Tose Co. has developed a great classic JRPG, playable in both PS4 and PS Vita, with an original battle, capture and evolve system. Expect lots of cameos from characters from the saga, in its "chibi" form, and revisit famous locations such as Nibelheim (from Final Fantasy VII). Original, fun and a great way to get you ready for Final Fantasy XV.

With its combination of Souls-like combat, unguided exploration, Resident Evil-esque puzzles, and Zelda-esque dungeon crawling, Hell is Us is one of the most gritty, challenging, and surprising experiences of the year.

Tales of Berseria Remastered is a merely competent remaster, a shortcoming that is made up for by the game’s strengths: its powerful story and its entertaining gameplay. Just as importantly, the game finally arrives on Microsoft and Nintendo consoles.

Feels like an evolution of Punch Put series, focused on multiplayer tournaments. Fun to play and tough to master, the downside is its lack of content: characters, game modes and levels.

This chapter three gets us feel more identified with the Forrester, has more action and betrayals, the best chapter of the Game Of Thrones Telltale Series.

Darksiders Genesis looked like another Diablo clone, but it has its own personality and is a Darksiders with a different perspective. It's fun, has a component of RPG and platform game and, despite its problems, is a great new game of the saga created by Madureira brothers.

Minecraft: The Story mode is a curious adventure, with touches of fun, that visually looks and feels like the original. It's perfect for kids and fans of Minecraft.

A beautiful moving experience, set in the First World War. 11-11 Memories Retold feels like playing a graphic adventure inside a Renoir or Van Gogh picture. Sadly it is too easy and short.

Deliver Us The Moon is the kind of game where it's kind of obvious that it could have been much, much greater with a bigger budget and more development time, because the premise is great and there's good ideas all over the place. If you love good stories -space stories, particularly- you'll have a great time with it.

Unravel Two offers the same formula, a mix of platform and puzzle games, but now you can enjoy it in local co-op. Is that enough for a sequel? Maybe for some, but if you played the original, you'll feel that it's a little bit more of the same, that there is not much new at all. Even the graphics feels very similar.

An excellent platformer for 3DS and one of the best options for the system. It has tons of contents and joy. The difficulty level is just right.

Skyrim is the game we´ve been waiting for in PSVR. It´s long, epic and fully inmersive. Six year after its original release, we still love the story and setting, although this version is not as polished as Special Edition for PS4 PRO (in native 4K resolution) or Skyrim for Nintendo Switch.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is everything you could ask for in a remake and more, a successful evolution of the original experience, although that doesn't mean that some decisions won't please everyone.

Crimson Desert is a great game hampered by a series of frustrating design choices and MMO-style gameplay. The Sexy Brutale is a highly unique game. It's like a Clue game, but the entire environment is a puzzle. We already know who the killer is, but we have to stop every murder. The art is gorgeous and it's a great start for Cavalier Game Studios.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered is, quite simply, the perfect remaster: there are improvements on all fronts, it shows absolute respect for the source material and adds many extras that are invaluable. Don't be afraid and let these vampires enter your home.
