If you like to be pushed to the absolute limit, the twitch-heavy gameplay and punishing level design will do just that, crushing your spirit along the way.- God is a Geek

While it is in dire need of some balancing, there’s magic in Vermintide 2’s frenetic combat. It’s a real co-op treat that simply has to be played.- God is a Geek

NBA 2K19 is a joy to play, but with progression in MyCareer often halted due to lack of VC, you have to wonder why 2K wants you to struggle to progress, especially after last year's concerns.- God is a Geek

Loop Hero is a dense and dangerous journey that puts you in full control, merging deck building and the rogue-like genre brilliantly. With tons of options to choose from, and lots of surprises along the way, it would be a mistake to miss out on Four Quarters' wonderful indie title.- God is a Geek

Victor Vran remains a wonderfully atmospheric dungeon crawler filled with things to love, from Victor himself to the disembodied voice that provides new intel, hints, tips and sarcasm, including a large number of anachronistic easter eggs. The Switch version may not add anything, but what’s here is still a fantastic package and a very welcome addition to the Switch’s library.- God is a Geek

Bringing back classic Spies Vs. Mercs is a smart move that will please many, whereas offering a decent length single player adventure that is open enough for all play-styles and all-comers, whilst offering an optional challenge for the veterans, pays off. Blacklist really is a game all about options, and as such, is one not to miss.- God is a Geek

The best part is that this is a great game to play on the go, the levels are short enough to crack out a couple on a short commute or loads on a long one, and they’re packed with extra challenges that take little time to accomplish as well. Yes there are some problems with the transition from machine to machine(s), but this is still a very welcome return of this brand of puzzle-action.- God is a Geek

The variety of bosses is strong and the combat/reward loop is wonderfully addictive. If nothing else, the fact that every Behemoth, armour set and weapon can be unlocked without spending a penny makes it well worth checking out."- God is a Geek

There’s some peculiarities when it comes to the scenes that were designed where control is taken away, and you can offset this by viewing them in a cinematic mode instead of VR first-person viewpoint, but aside some oddities (mostly early on) with hand positions, collision detection, your arms being weird floating tools, and weapons warping back to your inventory, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Resident Evil Village is another virtual-home run for Capcom’s series, just like Resident Evil 7 was. Oh but why it’s a free DLC item instead of a simple update, I’ll never know.- God is a Geek

It’s a shame Career Mode has seen such little love this year, but regardless, there are enough changes overall that FIFA feels a very different game this year. They’ve not reinvented the wheel, just put shinier trims on it, and perhaps this isn’t the year that the presentation needed to take centre stage.- God is a Geek

Ten years on, this is still one of the best arcade racers out there. Hours will be lost just flying around the map being a nuisance, and a few old fashioned decisions won’t dampen the excitement from playing a game this fast and furious.- God is a Geek

Severed takes a gimmick in touch-based combat and actually manages to successfully wrap an entertaining game around it. The eerie, ambiguous, yet beautiful, world helps but I found that enough new aspects were added to the combat to keep it interesting until the very end. If this is the Vita’s swansong then it’s going out on a wonderful note.- God is a Geek
