While the ideas aren’t all perfect, it’s still a marvellous and unique precision puzzle platformer when it focuses its ideas.

It almost feels like Horizon Chase did to Out Run what Octopath Traveler did to 16 bit era JRPGs when it comes to feel and visuals. If you need something to satiate your old school racing desire before Out Run shows up next year, get this. It is a must play title.

An incredible adventure from start to finish, CrossCode is a fictional MMO where the charm is anything but. With enthralling combat, intriguing puzzles and hours of enjoyable content, I cannot recommend this game enough.

Once you learn to deal with it’s idiosyncrasies, F1 2016 is a bloody fun racer. When it all gels it feels fantastic (especially when played with a wheel), it’s just a shame that there’s the occasional car crash along the way.

In short: An excellent expansion that just might win Bungie back some favour - if people are prepared to pay for it.

A wonderful little sci-fi romp that may frustrate at times, but offers a great opportunity for some increasingly rare couch co-op.

A triumphant follow-up that sets the bar for the looter-shooter. There are some teething issues, but The Division 2 is an incredibly polished product, and downright compelling at the same time.

Hotline Miami is still a classic I can recommend to most people. It is disappointing that you are forced to buy it with the sequel that isn’t as good but this is a price I was willing to pay to have one of my favourite games on the Switch. If you enjoyed the sequel as well on PC or PlayStation before, this collection is an essential for your Switch.

PES 2015 doesn’t reinvent the wheel completely, but is a noticeable improvement on its predecessor, with some brilliant new inclusions that make it feel more on a par with other sporting peers.

Borderlands 3 doesn't add much to previous iterations, but is a still a smart, almost rhythmic shooter with superb movement, deep RPG systems and more guns that you can shake a stick at. You might need to mute the dialogue though.

The Ringed City DLC is a mixture of things, unfairly difficult in the beginning, it opens up and delivers a thematically fitting end to the series of the whole. Great boss fights as well as a new PvP mechanic elevate it above the previous DLC.

Despite some worryingly customary bugs, Assassin's Creed Valhalla serves up a treat for both series fans and RPG afficianados. Eivor is a great protagonist, while rural England and the snowy climbs of Norway provide some of the best adventuring in the franchise to date.
