If you’re a fan of MMOs but had stopped playing because they were starting to get a little stale, then WildStar might be the game to rekindle that love.

The asking price of 40$ for a port of 2 3DS games with DLC that cost 40$ on 3DS initially as a package might be a bit much for some but if you’re a fan of action platformers, these are great and this pack is the definitive version of the Gunvolt collection.

Arcade racers are seeing a resurgence of late and Wreckfest fits nicely into that sub-genre, bringing banger racing into the limelight and turning it up to eleven. It may not be named Destruction Derby, but the spirit of the old Psygnosis classic is alive and well in Bugbear’s latest racer.

For my money, it’s nice to have a smoother looking game after twenty years, because part of the reason I’ve hesitated to return is that I didn’t want to sully the memory of one of my favs. I shouldn’t have worried, though, the instant that music started up I had goosebumps, and despite some language that, in 2019, it’s surprising was left in, this is still one of the greatest games ever made, only now it has even more respect for your time.

Victoria 3 is an incredibly detailed strategy game that’s as laborious as it is rewarding. You’ll need to put in the work and be prepared to spend a lot of time busying yourself while waiting for things to complete.

Saints Row IV is one of the most enjoyable games you’ll likely ever play, and while the story makes little to no sense, it’s not really supposed to. You’re playing games to have fun, and Saints Row IV does everything it can to make you remember that.

As the years go by, opportunities to shout expletives into the face of someone you call your “friend” become less and less frequent. Nidhogg brings that joy back into your life.

The Atelier Arland Series Deluxe Pack brings together 3 classic Atelier games for modern systems and while the ports could have been better, these are still some great and relaxing JRPGs.

The only real flaw with this port is the menus are confusing. If you’ve never played Cytus before, you might struggle to figure out how to quickly get into a song but you will get used to it. It is chock full of great music and a damn fine rhythm game on the Switch. If you skipped the mobile release a while ago, there has never been a better time to get into Cytus than now with Cytus Alpha. It even has a gorgeous icon.

Bowser’s Minions is certainly a Marmite game, it won’t be for everyone but it’s a nice diversion from the main story. Although, considering how good the main story is, you might not want to be distracted from it. It’s good looking, humorous, and overall really good fun to play, there are mild annoyances with how the touchscreen is put to use, but they’re unlikely to spoil the joy the game will ultimately bestow upon you. It’s been fourteen years, but it’s time to get lost in the Beanbean Kingdom again.
