Technological advances have allowed us to offer players a more immersive experience by using eye tracking and 3D audio, unique to 4K HDR displays, as well as greater graphical fidelity. Chandeliers and furniture within Castle Dimitrescu will be more beautiful than ever before, and the large presence of the Lady herself can be truly appreciated. Playing with the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller in addition to your headset also makes the player feel like they are really in the game! When the player guards with their arms or mimics shooting a gun, Ethan copies the movements in-game.

New actions such as dual wielding with a handgun and knife or handgun and shotgun are now possible. It's like the player themselves is the controller!

Become Ethan Winters and truly immerse yourself in the world as you fight for your life in Resident Evil Village.

RE: Village is one of the most recommended games to play on PlayStation VR2 for many reasons. The first is that the base game is such a good title that if you haven't played it you should have, then another more than interesting reason is that the game can be bought for less than €30, so in terms of value for money it's a very attractive option. And then, as the initial game in the VR catalogue, it is a more than interesting piece, perhaps it was not created with virtual reality in mind, but it is one of the most powerful titles to launch your glasses.

If you fancy VR or love horror games and the Resident Evil series, you should definitely check out Resident Evil Village on the PSVR 2. Here’s hoping that the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake is getting a full VR Mode. Plus, it would be awesome to have Resident Evil 7 ported to PSVR 2 too.

Resident Evil Village VR is a must-have title for anyone taking the plunge on PSVR2. It's still the same RE8 we know, and love but with the tension turned up to 11. In short, it's the best way to play one of 2021's best games.

Resident Evil Village VR is far more than just a gimmicky afterthought, adding enough improvements and tweaks to justify fans of both the series and virtual reality reliving Ethan’s not-so-great European vacation one more time. While the controls be a little cumbersome as you take the time needed to master them and the VR perspective can cause a few awkward viewing angles, this is still a very enjoyable return to an already great game.

With this big update, Resident Evil Village is easily one of the spearheads of the PSVR 2. An essential experience for horror and ultra immersive game lovers. Capcom has done a masterful job and has taken advantage of the opportunity to offer new gameplay that is entirely optimised for Sony's headset. And the result is striking. Despite its few flaws, Village takes advantage of VR to give itself a new lease on life. Even the most reluctant players, who didn't find the original game impressive, will be taken on board in this nightmarish adventure. Some sequences are more gripping than ever. In short, with the PSVR 2, Resident Evil Village is more than ever an essential.

Capcom has translated the Resident Evil Village experience to VR in supreme style, but it comes with a few caveats. Some of the cinematic spectacle is lost, and you’ll need to battle fiddly animations just as much as the werewolves dominating the remote village. Still, wonderful VR graphics, welcome comfort options, and great haptic feedback support make it a PSVR2 must-play.

A neat enough bonus that squanders its potential with awkward implementation, and a sense of tactility that never quite feels natural enough. [Issue#26, p.74]

Fantastic experience. One of the best titles in the PSVR2 launch line-up. A scary game made even scarier.

I can not over emphasize enough how different it is to play this game in first person. I am a hardcore gamer, nothing typically scares me on a flat screen. I have played this game in its entirety before and I have found myself leaping up in sheer terror at parts in this game. A wonderful rush let me tell you.

It becomes a completely different experience at this level, this is PC level VR on a home console. It elevates the whole thing and a surprising number of new mechanics become part of the game as it made its switch to VR.

Now we are getting reports that the new RE4 remake will have a free VR update for us as well.

To put a fine point on this, I found the RE4 VR game for the Quest 2 novel and unique. I found RE Village for PSVR 2 to be an actual game up to the standards of this age, and capable of taking us places modern gaming normally can not go. Extremely excited to see other games of this quality hit the PS5 library but until then I will be enjoying this game for many months to come!

Don't played the game before and just watched some gameplay of it but in VR it just feels like you ARE REALLY in the game. This game have so many interactive VR mechanics and I love Campcom that they make the complete game available in VR.
The only issues i had so far is that some objects don't have the right scale and not every object is interactable but this is something I can live with and is probably the compromise you have to take when you port a flat game directly to VR. Other than that, i get a bit motion sick but that is something experience player probably don't have to worry about and I will get over it.
I never played Half Life Alyx but i think this might be on the same level.
