The unfulfilling combat system and poorly implemented stealth mode turn up the frustration factor to a level where even the most die-hard Alba fan will turn back to reruns rather than finish this game.- GameSpot

Tank Beat isn't much fun. There's very little to it, and what is there is bland, and simplistic. If there's one feat developer MileStone managed to pull off, it's how dull it managed to make the act of blowing up tanks. It's an old-school shoot-'em-up that would have been right at home in a 1980s arcade. Unfortunately, it would have been the dusty game in the corner that no one played...Games like "Defender" and "Missile Command" offered more challenging and exciting gameplay along the same lines 20 years ago. Our biggest complaint with the PSP game was its lack of difficulty. That's been addressed to an extent in the Wii version of BMX Challenge--the increased dependence on trick points during race events adds some much-needed challenge to the game.
