  • Summary: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, the videogame, will capitalize on every aspect of the feature film's popularity, from a mind-bending plot that closely follows the movie's script to the first ever appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger's likeness and voice in a videogame. [Atari]

  1. Just another first person shooter. It’s not a bad game, but it’s not a great game either. As far as first-person shooters go, this one seems to be a bit lackluster.

Playing T3 was a joyless experience, and only our loyalty to the Big Man kept us playing.
  4. A crappy lock-on system snaps the Terminator's weapon right to a target, oftentimes one that's right underneath a grate and thus untouchable, all the while ignoring a more obvious threat.
  5. Feels like a rushed hack-job of a game, with just barely enough cohesive action to keep it from completely falling apart at the seams.
  6. T3's first-person shooting stages are plagued by poor controls, terrible level designs, brain-dead enemies, and just plain ugly graphics. [Feb 2004, p.106]
  7. But the saddest part has to be the staggering number of people who worked on this thing, including some well-respected developers. Just check the credits from the manual. I’m not counting them all, but that’s about 400 names.

Its gameplay isn't executed that well, the controls aren't good, the graphics are awful and it lacks the concept of the film. Another thing that makes this game are the fighting levels, these parts are terrible and choppy; this fails to be a good game for the least part of it. Even Centipede and Space Invaders being added extras couldn't save this garbage. Expand
