Would have failed as a traditional racing game, since the racing itself is rather boring and uninspired. The limited trick list and lack of common features, such as a track editor and create-a-rider mode, also detract from the game.
-
It has plenty of good stuff going for it, but a long list of problems keeps it from being anything other than merely decent.
-
Better than bad is sometimes still pretty bad, and that's the case here -- though at least the frame rate is not so piss-poor as to be completely unplayable.
-
Daily RadarUgly visuals and a much uglier framerate fail to bolster a lackluster stunt system that's neither visceral nor deep.
-
CNET GamecenterEven though Freestyle Motorcross's outlandish trick selection and arcade-style flair make it somewhat entertaining, the simplistic gameplay, poor graphics, and limited selection of riders simply don't make it compelling enough to belong in your library.
-
McGrath vs. Pastrana stutters along like Gomer Pyle on amphetamines. The frame rates are so poor that the entire game has a jerky feel to it, and the overall package comes off as erratic.
-
The game is ugly, it's a pain in the ass to play, it has horrible audio and is a completely nauseating experience.

ChrisP.Apr 8, 2004This game is JUNK! The horrible graphics, bad controls and unrealistic crashes/wipeout DON'T mix. There is also a small selection of characters.
