WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is a surprisingly polished title—arguably one of the best Soulslikes in recent years outside of FromSoftware’s own works. Leenzee has thoroughly deconstructed and internalized the core philosophy behind Soulsborne-style interconnected map design, crafting a world with its own distinctive take on the genre. The combat system, centered around the "Xuyu" mechanic, stands out for its unique identity, offering both approachability and a high skill ceiling, while delivering a distinct visual and mechanical flair compared to its peers. While the game occasionally suffers from overambition and balance missteps in its early to mid-stages, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers still delivers an irreplaceable and rewarding experience, making the dozens of hours invested feel both worthwhile and memorable.

But like the Monster Hunter: World, it is still not enough in terms of "sincere" game content. Predictably, it is enough to sustain the "hunters" for dozens or even hundreds of hours of grinding. Compared to its predecessor, however, the players are still obviously having less fun in the process. We will still go on grinding monsters and keep updating the gears, but this does not seem to be the fun of the Monster Hunter series. When faction conflicts become the central theme of the era, the narrative focus of Frostpunk 2 also shifts. You will witness how societal changes affect the lives of ordinary people as humanity seeks progress to stave off decline. The relatively simplified building system allows players to focus more on legislation and balancing relationships between factions, ultimately guiding the city toward prosperity under your leadership. However, while the system is good, it lacks the depth and modes that would allow players to fully flex their strategic skills. The story ends somewhat abruptly, and the sandbox mode offers limited replayability. The game's combat system is arguably the best in the series, with an impeccable feel, rich and deep styles, and few parts that affect the gameplay experience, apart from some minor numerical issues. The sandbox-style open world of Kyoto still has plenty of playable content, but there is nothing innovative about it. In addition, its weapon enhancement and crafting system lacks practicality and fails to provide enough fun for players.

Death's Door builds a world that fully engages players in exploration, and it looks somewhat like an excellent fusion of The Legend of Zelda and Dark Souls series. Although the ability design of this game is somewhat lacking in new ideas and the volume of levels is slightly insufficient, it is an excellent work that cannot be missed for any fan of independent games.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 may lack the innovative gameplay and changeable pace that the Modern Warfare series is known for, but in an era where developers big and small chase novelty and change, it stands out for its commitment to stability and tradition. Ultimately, it delivers a solid entry in the Call of Duty franchise that fans will appreciate.

The Borderlands series has long refined the looter-shooter formula, and Borderlands 4 feels like it has finally reached its theoretical peak. From seamless maps and freer movement to expanded skill trees, every change serves the same purpose: letting players and their friends dive into the endless loop of shooting, looting, and powering up in more satisfying and varied ways.

Crimson Desert feels like a single player version of an MMORPG that has been live for years. Its sheer scale alone is enough to guarantee hundreds of hours of playtime. But with its weak guidance, cumbersome interactions, and many design choices that show little regard for user experience, whether that time feels enjoyable or exhausting will likely vary from player to player.

Cities: Skylines II is a game that's ahead of its time in terms of both gameplay and hardware demands. It has taken significant steps forward in terms of quality, gameplay, and detail compared to its predecessor, although this comes at the expense of very demanding system requirements. In an era where city-building simulations are becoming increasingly scarce, Cities: Skylines II remains the top choice for fans of city-building simulation.

The Quarry tells a horror story through the "group play". Against the backdrop of excellent music and wonderful camera movement and arrangement, I had an unforgettable night in Hackett Quarry, a place full of crisis, darkness and choices. Through the perfect portrayal of characters, the good narration of story, the creation of horrible atmosphere and the control of audio-visual effects, The Quarry gave me a brand-new understanding of narrative-driven games.

What may ultimately make Shuten Order memorable is not its moving story or shocking twists, but its unprecedented ambition: "100 endings" and "five different game types." Thankfully, its strong script and writing already make it one of the year's standout narrative titles.

SteamWorld Heist II is a big step up from the first game. With different classes, weapons and skills to choose from, it introduces new strategic possibilities to the gameplay. The non-linear exploration of a large open world adds depth to the experience outside of the intense turn-based strategy.

Slay the Spire 2 can easily feel like a massive DLC expansion, and the current balance is still a bit rough. Even so, the framework and content already on display almost surpass what the original achieved. [Early Access Score = 90]

No Rest for the Wicked is a game that truly deserves the label 'promising'. There is no denying the exceptional quality of its art and the quality of its action gameplay, but the negative experience caused by errors in numerical balance and system design completely undermine the excellent impression left by its other aspects. You can sense the real potential and exceptional quality of Manor Lords, but what's more common is the disappointment of the lack of content. It has a unique medieval atmosphere, a first-person perspective that can immerse players, and a distinctive 'backyard economy' system that combines the fun of building supply chains and managing labour in the production process. While warfare isn't at the heart of Manor Lords, it's done quite well and evokes a sense of familiarity with the Total War series. [Early Access Provisional Score = 75]

Soulmask is a game that integrates different gameplay elements within the survival crafting genre, offering a refreshing experience for someone like me who has grown tired of traditional survival crafting games. While it shares the slow and complex nature of the genre, the help of NPC tribesmen and customisable settings allow players to quickly immerse themselves in an addictive survival and exploration loop. You can experience almost all the core pleasures of survival crafting in this game. The current content is already rich enough to support long-term play for Survival Crafting enthusiasts, surpassing many similar games that have been in Early Access for years. Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is a successful attempt to bring Heroes of Might & Magic back to its roots, capturing the core appeal fans have been waiting for while taking a strong first step in Early Access. Inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic III, it modernizes exploration, progression, city building, and combat without losing the strategic depth and lasting sense of fun that made the series so memorable. Star Rupture strikes a smart balance between the sense of order found in factory builders and the constant pressure typical of survival games. It delivers the satisfaction of long-term planning and optimization, watching production lines run smoothly on their own, while periodic solar eruptions, shifting ecological cycles, and the threat of hostile swarms introduce a steady rhythm of exploration and combat. Enshrouded is an ambitious open-world survival game. Its large world and freedom make it fun to explore. It has cool features like voxel building that work really well. But too much repetitive travel and dull combat can be frustrating, which doesn't match its great overall design. [Early Access Provisional Score = 78]
