You have to run a lot in Dreamfall Chapters, but it is still an enjoyable story and an ending to a long journey. The story elements are in focus as the puzzles are usually rather simple and straightforward.

Nex Machina is an addicting stick shooter with a great core concept that keeps the player interested for a long time.

Rocket League does everything needed to create a kick ass sports game. It's simple enough to learn the mechanics in a few minutes, but also complicated enough to require several hours of play to understand the finer details. Those hours will certainly fly by.

Just Cause 2 delivers a huge amount of vehicles, tons of enemy bases and installations to liberate and gameplay so extreme that you'll end up giggling in front of the screen.

WipEout Omega Collection is a great collection of games for those already familiar with the series, but also for the players who’ve yet to experience futuristic racing.

Concrete Genie is simple, but deeply engaging once you get into it. The game has a lot going for it, including a good look, superb music and mechanics that are fun to use, but there's a few snags here and there – in particular the very flimsy motion controls and lackluster AI – which keep it from true greatness.

With another deep expansion, the team at Paradox delivers yet again. It has never been more fun to play outside of Europe, with the Muslim factions gaining deeper mechanics and new ways to play. Even though the expansion does little outside of the Middle East, the new army professionalism mechanic and merchant options help to deliver an expansion that changes the game for every faction, regardless of religious affiliation.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is a clever and engaging card collecting game. Developer Dire Wolf Digital is blatantly inspired by other giants in the genre, such as Hearthstone and Magic: The Gathering, and has used this inspiration to create something that is familiar, but still new and exciting.

Atomfall's best features lie hidden underneath a layer of gameplay that never rises above 'just good enough'. For those who dig deeper, there's a thrilling mystery to be solved, and a level of variety that you'll only truly appreciate on a second playthrough.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a good game, and has been given the revamp it deserves. Little has been tampered with the game's form and content, apart from slightly sharper graphics, a revamped soundtrack and some changes that make the experience of traveling between areas less frustrating.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a lot like its predecessor, but that's not a bad thing. Everything is bigger this time around, with more maps to explore, more missions to undertake and more unique orcs to kill and dominate. It's all great fun (albeit a little repetitive after 40 hours). A more cohesive and memorable main story would've helped the game stand out even more.

EA Sports FC 26 is a great football game, though it offers few new features outside of adjusted animations, smarter goalkeepers and some new leagues and settings. The most notable addition is the choice between "competitive" and "authentic" playstyles, the latter of which provides a more realistic football experience.

An action-packed love letter to the old west, and with its engaging combat, charming sense of style and overall craziness you really can’t say no to the entertainment of this shooting gallery.

It's hard not to like The Crew because beneath the tiring police chases, clunky physics and so-so graphics, there's a really, really great racing game, with an amazing open world to explore.

I’d love it if Tropico 6 tried to be a bit more daring in its execution, but the game is still tried and true – in a good way.

Stellar Blade is flashy, fast-paced and fun, harkening back to some of the great hack and slash games of old. The journey could do with a better story, cleaner voice acting and a more engaging skill tree, but still manages to deliver a whole lot of great action.

Lara truly shines in her newest game, with a sprawling world to explore and a great set of skills at her disposal. If only the world had been even bigger, with more hub areas and even more to do, this could easily have been a truly astonishing game.

The premise of Little Inferno may sound a tad odd: You buy stuff, and then you burn it. Over and over again. But in fact, this is a game unlike any other this reviewer has ever played, and in a good way. Granted, it is a small game, but it is original, self-aware, self-ironic and self-referencing bordering on the postmodern. It even creates a brand new genre for itself, namely the burn 'em up.

The Stanley Parable is a fun, charming and mind-boggling adventure that continue to amaze across its many endings and playthroughs. It’s a short experience though, and once you’ve seen most of what the game has to offer, you don’t feel inclined to take a second look at it.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is both an explosive game that continues to take the series in new directions, but also a nostalgic look backwards that reflects on what has happened during all these years. For newcomers, it's a wild first step into a new world, but for veterans, this game can provoke a lump in the throat.

Although the detailed management of endgame item production can be a little time-consuming for my taste, the performance could be better, and diplomacy could well be implemented in a more elegant way, the game offers complex systems that are rewarding to get into. I hope that we continue to see innovations in this niche from the developers behind Ara: History Untold.

After a slow first chapter, Weird West opens up to give players an exceptional and supernatural sandbox to play around in. Each story offers an exciting new perspective on the world, and is a joy to explore as you uncover the consequences of the many choices you make along the way.

Bungie says a fond farewell with Reach. The Single Players does nothing new as supposed to the previous games, but Reach is more defined by its excellent depth in multi player than anything else.
