The Little Ones is a strong addition to a game that was solid in its own right. The children are a real game-changer in more presumably realistic, and more interesting, ways than I had imagined. They are a welcome addition to This War of Mine, both for the player and, seemingly, for the adult characters.

A great way to experience two of the games that defined real-time strategy in the 90s.

Crusader Kings II is quite unique. It's focus on dynasties and family leads to original and entertaining gameplay with great depth and variation. If not for a steep learning curve, it would be close to perfect.

Legend of Grimrock proves that the "dungeon crawler" genre still has a lot of life left. Compared to other modern RPG's it offers an unique blend of puzzling, exploration and surprisingly tactical combat, and to top it off it looks absolutely fantastic. This has something to offer everyone, not just old school gamers with fond memories of Dungeon Master.

EA works steadily towards making this as real as possible, and with that they are also ensuring the series feels fresh. Tiger has been surrounded by alot of turbulence off the course the last year, but on the digital green he's still king.the last year, but on the digital green he's still king.

Ys: Memories of Celceta is as traditional as it gets, with plenty of JRPG clichés, but it’s still a hell of a lot of fun to play.

This exploration-based role-playing game is a lot more enjoyable and engrossing than it looks, thanks in part to some really great writing. Highly recommended for fans of role-playing, strategy and even history.

Another utterly stunning platformer from the team that brought you Gris. The sometimes challenging combat does feel out of place, but the engaging visuals, music, and characters are more than enough to make Neva a worthwhile experience.

With XCOM: Enemy Unknown Firaxis brings back a diminished genre and proves that turn based tactical gameplay is just as fun now as it was 15 years ago. With its great depth the challenging combat aspect overshadows the mediocre storyline to make this a great revival of a classic series.

Sunset Overdrive is a great game, and with unrivaled freedom of movement, extremely fun dialogue and chaotic combat, it’s never boring. It might, on the other hand, be a bit too crazy, and the mix of traversal and shooting never quite matches up.

Warband doesn't offer much new besides the enjoyable multiplayer, but what it does offer makes it the best version of Mount & Blade so far. If you haven't played Mount & Blade before, you should definitely play Warband.

One of the strongest games in the series. Paris is beautifully remade on an impressive scale and with attention to detail. Arno is a decent lead, making good use of the improved combat and parkour in the game. Unity has hours upon hours of content, some varied and some repetitive, but all in all a very good open-world game.

This episode turns the story to focus on other survivors being as big a threat as the undead. You have to decide who you can trust, and make some very difficult choices along the way. The story is a lot darker and more brutal than before, which is both thrilling and horrifying.

Fez pulls you in with its unique premise and forces you to change your perspective and solve puzzles in new and inventive ways. Beneath the cutesy retraux visuals and simple platforming lies one of the most fiendishly deep puzzle experiences in 2012.
