Forza Horizon 3 is big, bold and beautiful. There's always something new to see, do or drive, and the game's mix of colorful, vivid graphics and an amazing soundtrack leaves the player with a constant, happy feeling. However, when compared to Horizon 2 there isn't all that much new stuff here, and the game's progression system is less than stellar, actively making huge parts of Australia feel empty and meaningless for hours upon hours.

Company of Heroes 3 represents a great evolution of the franchise despite being less than ambitious when it comes to the battlefield. The inclusion of a campaign map is however the best choice the series has ever made, even though it's a shame it's not available in the multiplayer mode.

With new abilities and mechanics such as the Melee Counter, Metroid: Samus Returns feels like a fresh, much needed quality game in the Metroid series. Just too bad its visuals could have been more timeless were it released on the Nintendo Switch.

Playing rock music with plastic instruments is old-fashioned, and that's why Harmonix gives you a Rock Band game that doesn't use these primitive tools. Instead you play notes with your controller and this is surprisingly fun. All instruments are well implemented and the fact that you can play ANY song from the massive Rock Band library is a feat in itself.

Remember when FPS games were fun? Shadow Warrior does too. While it does drag on for a bit at times, it offers tons of enjoyable action in a world where bringing a katana to a gunfight is actually quite viable.

It would be easy to define Far Cry Primal as more of the same, and while that is somewhat true, it's also a meaningful step away from the things that defined Far Cry 4. Not all of it is good, and the somewhat lackluster story and characters will dampen the mood for some. It is however a great universe to explore, with stunning visuals, a lot of things to do, slick combat, and, most of all, some really great animals to hunt and tame.

With its innovative map system and engaging battle mechanics, Steel Division: Normandy 44 stands out in the crowd despite a lacking single player campaign.

Ancestors is one of the most exciting games of the decade. Despite some frustrating elements, Ancestors is an incredible experience and a tour de force of game design.

Little Nightmares II is game that thanks to great puzzles, exceptional visuals and some truly chilling soundscapes almost manages to make the player ignore its somewhat clunky gameplay. Almost.

The setting and the scope of it all is simply massive and as a pure action-adventure it does a great job. On the technical side of things it's a lot less impressive, with poor graphics and everything that comes with, but nonetheless Darksiders II is a great game.

Despite its somewhat lackluster story and a few wearisome sci-fi sequences, Split Fiction is a solid next outing for Fares and Hazelight. The game delivers a plethora of charming vistas, some truly engaging gameplay mechanics and great co-op innovations through most of its 12 hour journey.

Tanner is back! This reboot is surprisingly fresh and innovative thanks to the shift-function, but what ultimately makes it a great game is the superb handling, which is pretty much perfect for a game of this type.

This special edition comes with all the free multiplayer DLC, as well as the extended cut of the ending and bonus mission From Ashes. It's a pretty good package overall, and the Genesis motion comic fills in the story of the two preceding games. The inhumanly long loading screens of the Wii U version do put a damper on the experience, and Genesis skips plenty of important decisions from previous games that makes the story feel a little incomplete. But for newbies to the Mass Effect universe this is a damned good purchase.

Wether you are a Panzer General-veteran or just a newbie who wants to try a wargame that isn't absurdly complicated or demands that you read a rulebook the size of the bible, Panzer Corps is the game to get.

The strategy aspect in itself is quite entertaining, and manages to draw a fine line between being a real challenge and a breeze. Some confusion does arise thanks to poor explaining and bad layout, but this is overall a very solid first step into the strategy genre for the popular Pokémons.

Metro: Last Light is an impactful game, whose perfectly paced story, believable universe and good stealth mechanics come together to make a great, if not flawless, experience.

New Pokémon, new game modes and a slight graphical touch up have made a decent Wii U title into a fun, addictive and deep fighting game for the Switch.

All in all, this is a wonderful little game, and everyone who likes strategy and tactics should give it a try.

If you're craving good beat 'em up games, Shredder's Revenge is definitely worth checking out. If you also have a good relationship with the Ninja Turtles from childhood, the recommendation is self-written.

The strategic roleplay saga continues beautifully with King's Bounty: Crossworlds. Two new campaigns and an improvement of the old one has been added, and gives new depth to the series. The entertainment value of the game is better than ever, even though the game engine, graphics and game system remains the same.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is less ambitious than its predecessor from 2018 but builds a great new adventure that works as a great middle chapter.

This might very well be the scariest game I've played in over 20 years as a gamer, and I dread the thought of all the nightmare-fodder I've given myself by playing it.

A ridiculously fun action platformer with Mexico as a colorful backdrop. This indie adventure in 2D may be simple, but it successfully combines an engaging combat system with some very entertaining platform challenges.

The great visual style and the hectic gameplay makes Cuphead a game everyone should at least try.

Tiny Tower isn't just a fun time-waster, it's also a truly well-designed and accessible game, a perfect choice for the gamer who's short on time. Whatever gripes I may have with the free-to-play business model, they did not impede my enjoyment of the humor, visuals and craftmanship on display in Nimblebit's latest creation.

This is a fun and addictive space strategy game. It doesn't quite have the character of Master of Orion 2, but it offers intelligent gameplay, smart opponents and plenty of fun while you build your interplanetary empire. Well worth trying, for both hardcore and casual strategy gamers.

Even though some of the new game modes don't bring anything new into the game, Tetris has me hooked, like it had years ago. The core modes are as addicting and challenging as they always were, as is the multiplayer mode. I would gladly increase the score if some of the less appealing modes were improved or dropped from the game.
