51 Worldwide Games is filled with classic games that offer relaxation. It is fun to check out what's on offer, but the quality per game can be very different from one another. Most of them are pretty cool though.

Halo Wars can be classified as the first successful console-RTS. The development team kept an eye on the limitations of the player, put in a fair amount of action and turned Halo Wars into a real console game. Gamers that have never played a RTS or stopped playing it because of its high complexity will find Halo Wars a very entertaining game. Die hard RTS fans will find it a little bit less entertaining.

The creators succeeded in reviving the SSX-franchise. The slopes are varied, challenging and incredibly fast. There is always challenge to be found, especially in the expansive multiplayer, but new players shouldn't have any problems picking it up.

The game that showed us what survival horror really means is still enticing in HD. It is freaky, it is frustrating and it is good. The mechanics of the original PlayStation version are still intact and thanks to better graphics and new voice acting this game is also worth while for newcomers.

Loop Hero is an interesting combination of genres with a very own flavour. This deck builder or roguelite or tower defense game goes deeper than you might think.

Bioware has done it again: creating a cast of characters we would die for. The main story is uninspired and the flashy combat gets a bit stale after dozens of hours, but our love for the Veilguard remains.

Cyber Shadow is a solid ninja game that offers an old-fashioned challenge with clever checkpoints. By the end of the game, the shine is a bit off and due to several minor flaws it ends up being just a little too often frustrating.

Blacklist has it all. Perfect controls, highlights from all the previous games, a perfect focus on multiplayer fun without sacrificing the enjoyment of the single-player and a great presentation to finish it all off. It has it all, unless you’re looking for innovation. You won’t find that in this best of compilation that manages to feel like a new product.

Tekken 7 is very much alike Tekken 3 when it comes to balance and level, combined with the quality of a Soul Calibur 2. It is a competitive game with good gameplay mechanics, but simply too few interesting modes.

Metro: Last Light can be mentioned in the same breath as big games like BioShock and Half-Life 2. Developer A4 Games proves to be very capable on a technical level, and they didn't make any concessions to the experience. When it comes to the gameplay, the developer might retain some of their (somewhat strange) own rules, but does this solely to improve the action.

Developer Tripwire has joined forces with the modding community to provide us with this stand alone multiplayer expansion to Red Orchestra 2. It perfects the realistic shooter and offers an interesting setting with Asia. Whoever's done with the Call of Duty's and Battlefields has a very impressive, yet sometimes frustrating, alternative with Rising Storm.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was a very relaxing puzzlegame and it still is. The new levels are fun for people who played the original, though there are only four of them.

Botanicula is one big orchestra, and the mouse cursor is the choirmaster. It's sometimes too much of a puzzle game, sometimes too little, but always a treat to listen to and observe.

Scared of a challenge? Then you might want to avoid Joe Danger 2: The Movie. Speed-maniacs, score hunters and generally thick players on the other hand, should dive right into this well worked out action game. Besides, it'll offer plenty of laughs with its insane gaming-moments.

Catherine is a very creative product with fresh ideas, unique themes and an attractive style. But because of two entirely different gameplay styles – the texting and flirting storywise and the puzzling gameplaywise – the game also feels incoherent. It's a shame, because the puzzling is an unneeded distraction of the sublime story.

Keepers have improved greatly and you can alter your tactics more. This ensures FIFA 15 is a better product than last year’s entry. The presentation falls flat on its face thanks to the look of the players themselves and the shoddy animation. This is still the best football game out there.

The Blob is a very high quality product with almost no flaws whatsoever. But most importantly The Blob is original. It's a form of art and a videogame in one. The Blob is one of the few Wii games that can actually hold our attention for more than a couple of hours. The game is just one big splash of fun.

Saint's Row isn't a very original game. It's a tweaked version of the previous game that offers a lot of fun, especially with a friend in the coöperative mode. Everyone who missed the useless violence in GTAIV will be very satisfied with Saint's Row 2, since that game basically is about just that.

Severed is a modern take on the old-school drpg genre. If you own a PS Vita, you should definitely own Severed.

Dice took everything we loved from Battlefield and added more action packed gameplay. Battlefield 1943 offers a great multiplayer experience and total destruction, but tends to get repetitive because of a lack of modes.

Act 1 of Broken Age is a point and click adventure game in heart and soul, but doesn’t reach the heights of the LucasArts games of old. The game is beautiful and tells a great story; a snack to drift off to during these dark and dank days.

WildStar is made for the players. Any decision in the design is created with the question in mind: “Is this fun to do?” The answer is almost always: yes! The fact that we saw a lot of elements elsewhere earlier does not affect the ubiquitous qualities, humor and sheer fun that we experienced in each session. This is one of those rare subscription-based MMO’s that is worth its subscription.

Though there are cliches in A Plague Tale: Innocence, the believable characters, amazing soundtrack and atmospheric setting make this a very convincing adventure. Especially if you are into singleplayer gaming, you should not miss out on this beauty.

A good expansion exists out of the best features of the main game with a slight twist. The Horizon Forbidden West-expansion is made with that exact recipe. Whilst Burning Shores is resting heavily on the strong features of it's predecessor, it adds new locations, missions, enemies and weapons. Burning Shores has everything it needs to entertain people for 10+ hours.

Blur is one of the most addictive and fun racing games we’ve played in a long time. The intense action, great reward system and excellent balancing let you enjoy every race. Even the varying difficulty in the singleplayer can’t change that.

Resistance Retribution is a solid and well thought through action game. It offers a more than worthy part in the Resistance series, even though Sony Bend doesn't do everything right. If you want to play a great portable action game, than this is the one you're looking for.

2D platform- and puzzle games and art go hand in hand. Thus is the case with Closure. It offers an amazing artistic experience and knows how to stand out in a crowd with a unique concept and entrapping atmosphere. Like a reader of poetry, you make your way through Closure: you don't always know what you're doing, but the experience is always amazing.

Even though it has a few flaws, the first two titles in the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX are entertaining from start to finish. The third part in this collection is a bit less fun and leaves this beautiful collection with a somewhat bitter aftertaste.

Starbound offers way more than just a colorful and cute outside. Its inside is a deep platformer that makes you start a colony on a planet filled with alpaca's, or something like that. And it is awesome.

We do not know a lot of fighting games that are so heavy on exciting sword battles like Nidhogg. The mechanics are very easy to learn, but yet hard to master and the colorful simplistic style fits the game perfectly.

Battlefield 4 is the best Battlefield yet. It has more maps, more modes, an improved progression model, brings back the Commander mode and finally introduces a map in which all vehicles and weapons can be tested at anyone’s leisure. We haven’t even brought up Levolution yet. We couldn’t have asked for more from a new iteration, except for a decent campaign maybe.

Tides of Numenera is an almost literary experience, it is amazing, it offers a rare combination of thought through world- and character design and the feeling of freedom is almost overwhelming.

To the Moon is about life and death. It's almost art in the sense that it can truly make you care for what happens in the game. It pretends to be a traditional JRPG and it plays like a point-and-click adventure. It comes with some restrictions, but the sublime story telling on offer here will linger in your thoughts for a long time.

This game should have released years ago: it is an amazing indie game about psychological disorders with a lot of original gameplay.

Garden Warfare 2 offers a huge expansion to the garden from the first game. The open world is a good alternative to menus. The new characters make the multiplayer battle a lot more fun. It is too bad it takes a while to unlock things and that not all gameplay is well-balanced.

The Xbox-Live Arcade version of Torchlight is definitely a memorable port. Thanks to certain smart adaptations, the game works very well with a controller instead of mouse and keyboard. The only thing that holds back Torchlight is that it can feel a bit limited at times with Torchlight 2 just around the corner, and due to the lack of cooperative modes.

Kirby: Planet Robobot does not change enough to feel fresh. The introduction of the mech offers simple but entertaining levels, but the game never really gets very complex. That's not particularly a bad thing though, the game is still great fun.

With a well-executed remake, Live A Live finally appears outside of Japan. The obscure JRPG deserves a spot in the spotlight, as the influence of this unique game can still be felt today. With new insights and angles, Live A Live manages to shake up the genre, even though the game is already 28 years old.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is definitely built with a familiar blueprint, but manages to refine pretty much every aspect or even perfect them. Especially the incredibly gorgeous world, dynamic between the two main characters and the balanced combat system stick out there. Without a doubt, this is the best Assassin's Creed game in years.

Nintendo gives the shooter genre its own cool spin. Splatoon is highly accessible for newcomers without making things uninteresting for experiences gamers. The gameplay is quick, balanced and highly addictive, even though there are not a lot of different modes to choose from.

Sunless Sea is a narrative masterpiece that is inspired by gothic literature. With minimal sources this game shapes a bizarre world with a great feel of atmosphere and detail. Too bad this game often is a tad slow.

Football Manager 2016 is back with a vengeance, thanks to the good restructuring of existing features. There is not so much new in this game, but it is definitely improved.

Tearaway Unfolded is not just a simple port. The creative vision of the original are still there and the change of controls and subtle changes to levels make Unfolded a new, interesting and solid experience. However, Tearaway is by far not the biggest, best platformer out there; in fact, it is a bit weak on the platform side. Especially the camera does not really help in many instances.

Super quick, super complete and super cool - there are just not enough words to describe TrackMania Turbo. The action is over the top, easy to learn, hard to master and fun for a long time thanks to the many (multiplayer) options.

As a hack-n-slasher, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has a ton of replay value, depth and challenge. However, the steep learning curve and the fact that combat becomes repetitive after a while, make that this game isn't for everyone. The lack of online multiplayer is a miss as well.

The nine hour long story of Black Ops 3 is so bizarre, it took us a while to get our heads around it. But the fact that a CoD-game surprised us in 2015 is very positive. The gameplay however, is still solid as a rock.

The Sims 4 Student life is a must-have for the experienced and beginning Simmer. The package adds a realistic aspect, more gameplay options and more growth options for your sim to the game. The construction and create-a-sim items are also a nice addition to the basic game.

Lone Survivor is one of the weirdest, most disturbing survival horror games available now. From start to finish, it takes you on a fuzzy trip in the world of the 'lone survivor'. Despite its two-dimensional appearance it's a very atmospheric and frightening game that constantly makes you think. It does this in a unique way by challenging you on a psychological level.

The EXO-suit makes the already very strong multiplayer experience feel fresh and new. We appreciate Sledgehammer for offering great maps, awesome weapons and the rough and tough vertical gameplay. This might be the best Call of Duty in years.

While Star Wars fans hoped for the ultimate redemption, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is just a good game. The combat is nice and the Star Wars force is strong, but technical flaws and a rippling story make Fallen Order just average.

Thanks to its focus on speed and tough gameplay, Fast Racing Neo is a love letter to the futuristic racing genre. It might not be as high quality as F-Zero and Wipeout, but it still is a very challenging indiegame with a good price.

As an indie game Ashen really knows how to impress a crowd. There is so much variation in this game of 20 hours, that it easily makes you forget about all the technical mishaps.

Shift 2: Unleashed might not be the realistic racing game of which the developers speak, but it does offer an intense racing experience we haven't seen before on the consoles. You literally experience the race through the eyes of the driver which offers a lot of exciting moments which will keep you interested from start to finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Pedestrian, a clever puzzle game that skillfully interweaves its concise puzzles with the game world. This clever game is more than worth a few hours for twenty euros.

Don't let the playful title fool you. Toy Soldiers Cold War can stand its ground between the big wargames. You'll find plenty of action, a challenge and basically a game that will appeal to a lot of gamers.

There have been made many compromises to get this huge game playable in VR and that shows. The controls and interface do not use the possibilities of VR to the fullest, but other than that it is amazing to walk around in Skyrim in such a real way.

Even in this top year, A Highland Song stands alone. Rarely have we seen a game that understands so well how interactivity and freedom of choice enhance the gaming experience, without taking away that same freedom later. A Highland Song is a sublime exploration of coming of age, Scottish history and the myths that arise where man and nature meet.

Overcooked 2 is a safe but great addition to the first Overcooked with many hours of co-op fun. It is not very fresh in gameplay, it offers a great challenge in a great array of stages.

Skylanders: SuperChargers is a bit cheaper, and that is noticeable in the slightly boring and matte design of the Skylanders, which thankfully does no longer matter as soon as you step into your car to have a fun online race.

In Vessel, a puzzle platform game, you solve puzzles by keeping certain liquids in motion - a wet dream for any puzzle-lover.

Metro 2033 is game that lets players traverse a wonderful post-apocalyptic world in an interesting way. The small changes of pacing ensure that the game never bores. Even though the game is relatively linear and the story slightly disappoints on some levels, Metro 2033 is probably one of the best games ever to come out of Eastern Europe.

If you loved the Captain Toad bonus levels in Super Mario 3D World, you will most definitely enjoy this game. It is a beautiful and charming adventure full of fun and different challenges. Too bad the camera is not always your friend, and too bad this game is a bit on the too expensive side.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is in between Fire Emblem of the old days and the newer games. It misses a lot of elements that we love about the newer titles, but it still brings enough new elements to the table to keep things interesting.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. doesn’t give the franchise a push in the right direction, but offers a promising platform for future installments; and obviously another insane adventure with tons of fun gameplay and humor.

The design and concept of Echochrome is so simple that it seems easy to play. And it is: you can see all puzzles in one day if you try hard enough. Still, it requires some thinking and it's a surefire hit with puzzle-fans.

Helldivers is a typical co-op twin stick-shooter. The multiplayer is challenging and makes up for the inconsistent pacing, the boring surroundings and repetitive missions. On your own, Helldivers is a very frustrating experience with big ambitions but too little depth of content.

Professor Layton is saying goodbye for a while, but not before finishing the Azran trilogy, that’s obviously been written for the Layton connoisseurs. Thanks to its detailed appearance and atmospheric world you’ll forgive it for its somewhat recognizable puzzles.

Ardennes Assault is not a cheap expansion, but it dares to do things a bit different. In a good way, because the new structure fits the Company of Heroes franchise and shows that Company of Heroes 2 is on of the best RTS games at this moment.

Kingdoms of Amalur proves that not all RPGs are difficult, slow or boring. Getting to know the world of Amalur is truly a joy and because of the unique combat system, defeating enemies feels fresh and fun.

Boomerang X plays like a train thanks to a simple but effective game mechanic: a magical boomerang that allows you to teleport yourself. The game may not look and sound that special, but whoever whizzes through the arenas with mouse and keyboard for the first time, is immediately in love.

Sunset Overdrive is fresh air through the open world genre. Skating, bouncing, wall-running; it does not just look awesome, it feels awesome. Most of the missions are a one-trick pony, but changing the guns you use makes that repetitiveness fade away.

Super Time Force reminds us of side-scrolling shooters from the past, but don't let this fool you: it is a completely unique game on itself. Its combination of shooting and tactical thinking can be quite frustrating at times, but it's entertaining enough to keep you playing for hours. Just don't forget the time.

Stormland shows that real open-world games can work. Sometimes the game evokes (positive) comparisons with the free battles in Far Cry and thanks to the extensive upgrade systems the game feels deep and complete.

Children of the Sun is a short ride, but entertaining from start to finish. The concept, action puzzles that you have to solve with one bullet, lasts for five hours and introduces just enough variety to avoid being repetitive. The simple story about a cult and the unique, bizarre style are the icing on the cake.

Just Cause 2 is the ultimate transition of the explosion-filled, stunt-heavy blockbuster action movie to the videogames medium. The spectacular grappling hook action takes place on the beautiful, humongous fictional island state of Pauna. The few flaws don’t hurt the overall experience at all.

Napoleon is a fantastic addition to the Total War-franchise. The realism remains at the top of the genre, the new campaign is engaging and the new additions are very welcome. The only real problem is that the AI sometimes lacks.

Samurai Shodown is a stylish, technical and quirky fighter that easily fits between modern fighters like Tekken and Street Fighter.

Firewatch uses extremely atmospheric woods to tell a nice story in four hours time. That same forest is keeping you from feeling free though, and the story misses depth. Was this game a bit too ambitious? It certainly seems so.

Ghost Song was supposed to fill the void left behind by Nintendo and Konami by not making a new 2D Metroid or Castlevania. Eight years later it's an old school metroidvania that surprises with beautiful and daunting visuals and dialogue.

Despite the lack of online multiplayer, Star Fox 64 3D is almost as captivating as the original fourteen years back. The short lifespan of the game is somewhat compensated by the local multiplayer.

Chuchel is very simple, which we are not used to when it comes to Amanita Design. It is yet again very enjoyable though: lots of humour, nice design work and a very charming character.

In its fundamentals, Gran Turismo 6 is still the best simulation racing game on consoles. The visuals bring the game to life, but the audiovisual cracks in the ceiling are becoming noticeable. If you can accept certain limitations, as well as the fact that the game will need a few updates, you'll keep your PlayStation 3 plugged in longer than you might've thought.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero brings you back to the glory days of the Budokai series in all its facets, but it's more complete than ever with the addition of the latest films and the Dragon Ball Super anime. From the high-quality presentation and extensive story mode to the awkward camera movements and even the controls, everything feels just like it used to. The end result is essential for any Dragon Ball fan, although they may be disappointed by the absence of the excellent manga chapters that have not yet been animated.

GoldenEye 007 keeps up with today's standards. The game is less linear than its predecessor and has some great gameplay elements. Furthermore, interesting multiplayermodes do justice to the original.

Sifu may cost you several years of your own life, but is well worth all those hours of training.

With Catherine: Full Body, the unique original is made even more comprehensive, more accessible and more challenging. The compelling story and the complex puzzle platform action will hopefully appeal to more players than before.

Borderlands 3 is pretty traditional, but in many ways this is the ultimate looter-shooter offering up a great satire about the streamculture of today.

Heroes of Order & Chaos is easily one of the most intense game experiences available on the iPad. Every game is a special experience thanks to a great balance between strategy, action and role playing.

It's a shame that a sequel of a one of a kind game is as uninspiring as Patapon 2. The game is more of the same and sometimes to complex to actually play it with a smile.

MadWorld lives up to its expectations. With ease. The graphics are great and the gameplay more than satisfying. The only thing that really holds the game back is its short duration. But, as long as it lasts it will be an excellent and brutal experience.

Rollerdrome plays as fluidly as the action looks. Like a murderous ballerina on roller skates, methodologically blast your enemies into the afterlife. The high difficulty level keeps the action challenging, while never having to compromise on style. Rollerdrome makes killing graceful, but would have benefited from a little more variety, and not just in the arenas themselves. Apart from the popping, the game is actually just a bit too bare.

The relationship between the four friends is the heart of an amazing adventure. The beautiful world with all its exciting secrets is so lovely to explore. The story might often be difficult to understand, the old-school Final Fantasy touch is back and that is awesome.

Dragon's Dogma on PC takes away a few graphical frustrations we had on the console. The improvements the game got in Dark Arisen are still in there, which makes this one of the best and one of the most difficult niche RPG's on the market.

Tetris was already perfect and it shows that Puyo Puyo is a great addition to it. The game has a lot of modes and options and the storymode is a great vehicle to put more time and effort in this legendary game.

For those who are seeking a simple, addictive arcade-game with some adrenaline rushes, self-mockery and originality, look no further than this game. Unless you hate the letter "A".
