Although the Pokémon franchise is experimenting more and more with innovation, Pokémon Sword and Shield is not focused on modernization. Instead, the games prove that the Pokémon formula does not need such change. In no time you lose yourself in the beautifully designed game world and above all enjoy the cool new Pokémon. This results in a familiar and sometimes somewhat predictable journey that does exactly what we want from a Pokémon game.

IL2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey succeeds at bringing a flightsim to the consoles. The game delivers a few things that console gamers haven't had for years, but at the same time takes its place between the less-realistic alternatives on the consoles. If you can look past the minor flaws, Birds of Prey is recommended for the serious flightsim-enthusiast.

Its core mechanics keep God of War: Ascension on its feet, but it doesn’t take many risks in order to impress the player. The story starts off slow and the experience is often tempered by uninteresting sequences. Aside from the great combat and the spectacular images every now and then, the game feels uninspired. Thankfully the multiplayer is surprisingly fun, which somewhat eases the pain of this slight disappointment.

The Path is not a game, it's art. And damn good art too. If you're open to it, try it and draw your own conclusion.

Metroid: Other M has two sides. The presentation is far from perfect, with cinematics that offer cliché after cliché and in-game graphics that aren't as detailed as the Prime-series. But the new gameplay is an unexpected mix between different Metroid-games of the past and impresses. Metroid: Other M takes some time to take off, but once it does, it latches onto you like a Metroid and holds its grip until you've played to the end.

Puzzle Craft acts like it combines two genres, a puzzle game and a city builder, but in reality only the puzzle portion remains standing. The three-in-a-row section is well executed and has a few fresh, new elements, but never really reaches challenging heights.

Bookworm Adventures 2 is a typical PopCap-game: simple and annoyingly addictive. You want to play for ten minutes, but before you know it two hours have passed. The game deserves a thumb up, but is only for those with a decent English vocabulary.

MMA has enough moments that are worthwhile. It's just too bad that EA hasn't learned from the strong and weak points of the competition. The controls aren't always working properly and the number of modes are a little on the thin side. However, true MMA-fans will be able to ignore these faults.

An enjoyable but flawed game. Some moments you think it’s the best thing on earth, when you think up an object that you thought couldn’t help you solve a puzzle but you suddenly use it in an inventive way. Other times you will be bored thanks to the reuse of items or frustrated with the loose controls.

The sequel to the immensely popular Temple Run isn't a game that reinvents the genre or does anything radically new. It's the same infectious concept as its predecessor but with a few minor differences. That means it's still an addicting game that you'll probably play for longer than you were expecting.

Dead or Alive Dimensions doesn't just play like an Greatest Hits edition of a great fighting game, it feels like one. While the first notion is an absolute plus, the second one isn't. there are no new characters, no new storyline and barely any new moves. Only the new online functionalities will draw the hardcore fanbase in.
