Warriors of Rock is pretty much the same as the previous Guitar Hero, with the exception of the new campaign. Curiously enough this only weakens the game. The tracklist is varied enough to warrant a purchase, but developer Neversoft will have to come up with something more original for the next game in the series.

Zenless Zone Zero knows what it wants to be with the great setting, animations and designs. The fluid and in-depth combat, together with the variety of other gameplay, makes for a jam-packed game that will only get better. Still, that makes the game unnecessarily complex, and together with the slow start, it may discourage new players.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin has no problem following in the footsteps of it's predecessor. Monolith obviously has chosen action before fear in part two but still manages to find the perfect balance between them both. On the outside the game lost some of it's powers and the attempt to put in some new gameplay elements doesn't always work. But in the end, the game is frighteningly good.

The Sims Medieval offers an amusing The Sims experience in an original way, which breathes new life into the franchise. The setting has been chosen well, there's plenty of variation and the The Sims humour is present once again. That doesn't take away from the fact that this shift in time will make fans who miss certain key elements drop the franchise as a whole.

The world of Tera is one that most gamers have seen a lot: monsters, heroes with a lot of equipment and heroines with huge, erm… skills. It's hard to blame people for leaving Tera for what it is after having taken a quick glance at it. But that would be a shame because Tera has a few refreshing game mechanics. The real-time battles are about skill instead of statistics and many different monsters make every fight exhilarating. It's too bad though that it has a terribly boring questing system.

Crysis 3 doesn’t do much wrong as a shooter and is constantly entertaining thanks to the nanosuit and the addition of the bow. The multiplayer is also surprisingly fun. Other aspects aren’t as great though. Dialogues are simply terrible and the main campaign is quite short, especially for a game that’s at its best when played slowly. Bizarre Creations delivers a different kind of shooter that will attract a specific kind of gamer. The boring setting and combo-system don't bring this game to the absolute top, but the addicting gameplay makes up a lot. If they put more effort in a possible sequel, it might become a classic in this new subgenre.

There is an amazing roguelike hidden in Flinthook, but there are simply too many annoying things about it. The design is simply brutal, too brutal for anyone to really enjoy this game.

Ultra is a unbalanced collection of different games that look and feel enough like one big game, but they don’t offer the variety to make it feel refreshing. This is just a standard Kirby-game that isn’t any better than the previous game, Mouse Attack.

    MAG
MAG is more than just the magic number 256. Zipper has created gigantic maps that don’t result in chaos at all and that’s worth appreciating. Players that work together are rewarded and stimulated. The fact that there are lots of smaller battles inside the big battle is what impresses the most.

Ever Oasis is a fun action RPG that successfully combines mechanics from Animal Crossing and Zelda. It's loads of fun to go through all the dungeons and it is a great way to spend your summer vacation.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon is a game with a decent concept what eventually shows up in the storyline and gameplay. However, the downside of this all is the poorly translation and the somewhat disappointing graphics. In al fairness a pretty decent game, but never rises above the average spin-off game.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human makes freerunning more fun and creative. By providing more control, main and side quests are surprisingly engaging and deep. The characters come out well through excellent writing and voice work and the player is repeatedly brought into conflict by the many choices that really have an impact on the story. The beautiful Villedor is ideal for endless freerun fun, with or without friends.

Bombslinger is a nice combination of Bomberman and The Binding of Isaac. But, contrary to the latter, you will be done with Bombslinger in a few hours.

At last: a console version of The Sims without a crappy control scheme. The Sims 3 may be not as extensive and flawless as the PC version, but is still a nice translation of the original concept that made The Sims great in the first place.
