Halo Wars can be classified as the first successful console-RTS. The development team kept an eye on the limitations of the player, put in a fair amount of action and turned Halo Wars into a real console game. Gamers that have never played a RTS or stopped playing it because of its high complexity will find Halo Wars a very entertaining game. Die hard RTS fans will find it a little bit less entertaining.

Again Sega doesn't seem to realise what made the old Sonic games so much fun. By wielding a sword, the game loses a lot of speed and the choice to let Sonic play short and meaningless missions doesn't fit the franchise. Even Sonic fans will have a hard time liking this game. On rare occasions the game shows its potential. When making the right moves on your balance board while the finish line is in your sights there will be some form of satisfaction. Drakensang is a must buy for every fantasy and RPG fanatic. Don't except a revolution or a GOTY, but except a game that has charisma and can be picked up very easily. There are some tiny flaws, but the moment that you venture into Avonturia, your troubles will be over.

Flower is a more than welcome addition to the PlayStation Store with a truly unique type of gameplay. This, in combination with a very artistic environment and a easy to learn control scheme, make of Flower almost a magical game. The House of the Dead offers a great package of humour and style. The game has turned a boring genre into a wonderful spoof with a little help of some zombies and two cheeky cops. The PC version of Burnout Paradise has the word Ultimate in its title for a reason. When developer Criterion made The Ultimate Box, they put every update and patch that appeared since the release on the console into this game. By doing so, they made Burnout Paradise the perfect game for everyone who wants to race without a hassle. If one of your hobbies is to cruise in your car on a regular basis and if you aren't bothered by an undemanding difficulty level and then you will have no problem liking this game.

Lips is a decent karaoke game, but nevers outgrows its bigger brother Singstar. The lack of some real online options and the ease on which you can hum your way past the different songs will scare of some gamers. Nevertheless, Lips offers a wide variety music, let's you play your own songs, offers some nice looking microphones and has and good overal presentation. In the end we still recommend Singstar, except when you don't own a PlayStation 2 or 3.

Metal Slug 7 has survived the transition between arcade an the Nintendo DS. The only thing that we really missed was the co-op mode. What, in al fairness, is almost like a stab to the heart. Gamers who never played a Metal Slug game before be aware, the game offers only seven levels that will last for only an hour or two. However, for the fans this is just what the doctor ordered, action in Metal Slug style!

Need for Speed Undercover is a big step backwards for the series. It's almost as if the franchise has the same disease as FIFA had a couple of years ago. EA promises a lot new features but in the end there just isn't enough to justify a new game. Thankfully the FIFA-syndrom offers perspective, because after a few mishaps the franchise has produced an instant classic. That's why we keep hope for a worthy Need for Speed game in the near future.

Against all odds, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe turns out to be a very entertaining game. The characters that actually made it into the game are more than welcome and the chosen super hero's (and villians) are a perfect fit. The difficulty of the game is kept simple. Rare hasn't succeed in making use of the ambitious prospect of being creative in putting together different parts to make good vehicles. The missions are too much alike and way too short, but everything outside of the main missions is fun to play.

PES 2009 has been beaten by FIFA 09. Of course, EA's game has made tremendous progress in this year's edition, but the fact is still that PES 2009 has little technical improvements above the previous editions. The game is still fun to play and not a faulty purchase, but Konami will need to rethink the concept to beat their competitor next time.

We're getting a little overwhelmed by the sheer number of Cliffy B interviews, quotes and other Cliff related stuff that have roamed the world wide web the past few weeks. But in all fairness, Gears of War 2 is a more than worthy sequel of its predeccesor. The co-op mode is still a very attractive part of the game, and the same goes for the Horde mode. With more enemies, more levels and especially more blood it offers just what you expect from a sequel. The game rarely suprises, but it hurls enough cannon fodder towards you that it will blow you away.

We find it a bit strange that it took the developer three years to make a DS version of the game. But, with Exit making finally making it's appearance on Nintendo's handheld, they can add another successful puzzle game to their ranks. We use the word Epic a lot in our reviews and that is simply the best description that we can give for most of the scenes in Resistance 2. On the outside, the game isn't the best you can get nowadays, but thankfully the main focus of the developer wasn't the engine. Red Alert 3 is at first a very enjoyable, fun and a more than decent RTS game. The three factions all pack a punch and equally offering you enough depth gameplay wise, without being to unbalanced. Over-the-top action was never this much fun and this is just the thing that makes Red Alert 3 one of the best RTS games ever. And that's something that even the little flaws can't prevent.

Fallout 3 will probably end up being one of the best games of 2008 and, in it's one unique way, a worthy sequel in the Fallout series. Bethesda takes essential gameplay elements from the original Fallout games and gives these elements a new twist. The Fallout 3 gameplay is perfectly executed and Capital Wasteland offers a fantastic world in which you'll find plenty to discover, even after spending dozens of hours in this world. Gamers, hide in your bombshelter and don't resurface before you've played Fallout 3.

Scene It? Box Office Smash is certainly not the best quiz-game you're ever going to play. Its lack of space is making sure that after a game or three some questions will keep coming back. However, what Scene It? does best is giving the gamer some entertaining questions in a sometimes original form and accompanied with great movie material.

Nerf N-Strike is a finished product with a handful of nice, little minigames. The game is intended for the youngest among gamers and will probably be appealing enough for this particular audience. And besides that, is pretty fun to shoot at people with the included Nerf gun.

LittleBigPlanet is one of the best and original games we've ever played. The gameplay is perfect in it's simplicity, because the game can be played with only a few buttons. And thanks to the brilliantly designed levels the simple gameplay never gets dull but instead stays fun and fresh. For both the casual and core gamer LittleBigPlanet will be an irresistible game. You'll even get a great editor, free of charge, Offering you tons and tons of extra things to do and to discover. You probably won't play a better game than LittleBigPlanet this year.

At first the game will get your sympathy. It looks nice with it's 3D surroundings and cute looking cartoon characters, but it won't take long before the very, very bad game concept destroys everything that you might like. Tornado offers little less than looking around for objects and remembering were they are when you need them a second time. On top of that you hardly see anything of the surroundings, resulting in a well earned insufficient grade.

Guitar Hero World Tour offers a more than welcome evolution to the series. With superior instruments, a powerful tracklist and extremely addicting gameplay it has already earned a place in Guitar Hero history. Playing the guitar is still going strong, but with the change to play the drums or even sing a line or two, the game offers enough variation. Not every new feature is a direct hit, but if you liked any of the previous Guitar Hero games than you will have no trouble in liking this one.
