  1. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is the definitive Naruto game. The art-style is amazing, the combat is impressive and everything is put together in a nicely done fashion.
  2. Quite possibly one of the best Naruto games to come along on a next-generation console, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is a solid fighting game for the PS3 that is true to the series. It’s a blast running through the Hidden Leaf Village and it’s quite satisfying to be wrapped up in major battles that fans and non-fans will enjoy.
  3. The game is definitely a solid exponent of the Naruto-series on the PS3, although some fans will be disappointed because of the disdainful synchro. On the whole, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm combines adventure-elements with thrilling combat-action.

It's the best-looking Naruto game to date - it comes with something for everyone. [Mar 2009, p.65]
  5. For fans of the series, this is another great Naruto game.
  6. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm really, really, really needs to support online fights. Publisher Namco Bandai’s last big fighting game, Soulcalibur IV, did it. There’s no reason for this not to as well.

Too little bang for your buck. [Feb 2009, p.103]

A great anime game for what it is. Not perfect but for what it’s trying to do, it does pretty well.

The visuals are just stunning and the game play is easy enough yet challenging at the same time. Many wonderful moves to use and a great in the start of a mighty franchise for the Naruto world on PS3. Lays a great foundation of we should expect from PS3 games and gives us a glimpse of what will come in the follow up game. Only one glitch I found is that sometimes when you defeat an enemy the music wonks out in the background, but that's a minor flaw in a gigantic game. Also, could use a bit less loading time, but by no means is this unbearable; its called a break learn to take it and love it. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. CyberConnect2 makes the most impressive use of Cel Shading technique to this day to deliver a fantastic experience for Naruto fans. With its excellent animation and fluidity, Ninja Storm captures the spirit of Naruto even better than the animated series, perfect for an easy going game designed by fans for fans. With some type of online combat mode it would be the perfect experience for the entusiasts of Kishimoto's manga. Expand

Better than the second part at times, moving around the open world, running on walls, ninjutsu resistance and gorgeous ultimates
