If you’re a fan of the first Monaco, this is better in every way. If you’re not, you just might find that this heist title is right up your alley.

Rise of the Ronin does a great job at combining combat and stealth, improved by a vast array of weapons to wield. The characters are memorable, as are the locations, showing off bakumatsu Japan. Regrettably, performance issues sour the experience.

An unbelievably impressive title, Out of Hands takes a saturated genre and breathes life into it in such a unique manner.

Overall, Vindefiant is a fun, challenging experience. The story isn’t going to win awards, but if you want to smash someone against a window multiple times so you can launch them through the broken glass, this is what you need.

Steel Seed has a lot of fun aspects, but does fall short in some important parts, such as gameplay and music.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a great addition to the series, with a large cast of fighters and accessible controls that let you pull off big attacks with ease.

Bionic Bay is amazing. It’s a game filled with passion and beauty in its brutal and unrelenting world, and has plenty to do after you’ve beaten its short campaign for the most determined of players.

Reignbreaker is a great rogue-like set in a dystopian punk world that feels more forgiving than titles like Hades.

The Darkest Files is a well-crafted courtroom game that’s grounded in history, offering deep investigative gameplay and excellent storytelling.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a fantastic action-RPG, with impeccable combat. Despite some minor issues shortcomings, it’s one of the best of the genre.

CarGo! is a fun and challenging multiplayer game that requires teamwork, but playing on your own can be tricky to do.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 - The Official Video Game works mechanically and has a sense of style, but there’s nothing to keep you playing past a certain point.

A remaster done right, with loads of extra materials to check out, on top of a more polished version of the original game.

Everything works with Grit and Valor -1949, but the repetitive nature of the concept makes it a bit of a slog for long playthroughs.

Airlock Arena: Profit or Perish is a fun and frantic co-op roguelike that can make for some amazing moments of victory or failure with some interesting mechanics. However, having friends to play with is seriously recommended.

If you’ve ever wanted to pretend to be the chief security officer on a random Star Trek episode, this is the game for you! If you’ve somehow never wanted that, it’s still a great story with endlessly charming characters.

Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers is pretty fun for what it is, with a fun, addicting gameplay loop with always something to discover. That being said, there are just some issues that make the journey more aggravating than it should be sometimes.

Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark has improved a lot of things from the first game and is a 2D Metroidvania to try out for yourself.

Vinebound: Tangled Together is a vibrant title full of personality and a unique co-operative mode. It’s a short but fun experience.

Atomfall reminded me why I fell in love with open-world RPGs in the first place, offering the freedom to do what you want, but deal with the consequences of such. It’ll be a struggle to survive, but it is worth it all in the end.

Kemono Heroes is a great side-scrolling, hack ‘n slash title with multiplayer that feels like it’s from the arcade, but only one save slot makes things hard.

Mark of the Deep is one of the best experiences I’ve had lately, the only existing problems are so minor you might just not notice them whilst playing.

AI LIMIT is well-designed and has interesting lore and characters. However, the slow beginning and bland early levels take away from the experience.

Alcyone: The Last City tells a compelling story, full of intrigue and questions on the meaning of life and our place in the universe. However, it leaves one wanting more than a second or third playthrough might not provide.

MULLET MADJACK is more than worth your time and money, a perfect culmination of artistic vision.

Another great entry to Like a Dragon, just don’t rely on it for hard-hitting canon lore (just hard-hitting cannon balls)!

There’s a lot of heart and dedication on display here, but the later Tomb Raider games issues are still on display.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars is a treat for all turn-based RPG fans, but backgrounds can look a little too smooth and clean.
