Through the Nightmares is a nightmarishly difficult, great labour of love, with the only thing stopping you from beating the game is your own skill and willpower. Just be willing to wait, use any knowledge you collect with each death, and don’t give up.

Both a decent language learning tool and a good game, Shujinkou pulls off a pretty impressive feat here. Some of the controls are a little more complex than I would like, but everything else is spot-on.

Quantum Witch's greatest device — its plotforming — hits well when the themes align, but constant tonal shifts make it difficult to truly get immersed without continued whiplash.

Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon is an immersive and dark fantasy adventure with great characters and ambience. Though it has issues with stability, it’s definitely worth a look for anyone interested in the genre or Arthurian myth.

Squeakross offers a squeaky clean version of nonograms that plays better than anything I’ve ever touched before. It’s adorable too.

Guards II: Chaos in Hell is the perfect background game, no more, no less.

Len’s Island is quite good in a subtle way, taking its time to make you appreciate its mechanics and world. It rewards those who take their time, explore the land, and prepare for whatever the darkness may throw at you.

LUNAR Remastered Collection is a must-play for RPG fans and I am having an amazing time playing it.

A bloated and bland action adventure title, with a few standout mechanics, but none that can save it from being an underwhelming package.

Crown Gambit offers an interesting world and detailed plot, but the actual combat takes a while to get to the point where you want to focus on it.

Cubic Odyssey tried to reach for the stars, but ultimately, it fell flat. With limited action and a lot of grinding, there’s very little to actually do in what should be an expansive galaxy.

A fun, but notably flawed roguelike. Galactic Glitch is worth your time, but it’s hard to recommend for those who dislike any of the genres it takes from.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is an example of a game that is “just fine.” If you’re looking to scratch an itch, then Mandragora might be the one for you.

A bland, repetitive roguelike that had the potential to be something far greater. Scar-Lead Salvation is disappointing in almost every aspect.

Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is a 2D adventure game that should be on everyone's wishlist. Who doesn’t want to play a retro-inspired yoyovania?

Date Everything! is a passionate game in all ways. From the writing to the artwork, it’s impossible not to love such a goofy yet touching experience. Bringing dating sims to a whole new level, this is one that you can’t miss.

TRON: Catalyst is a fun, futuristic game full of disc battles, Light Cycles, neon, and time loops. It’s a title to try out for yourself.

An incredibly fun and engaging Horde Shooter, it isn’t perfect, but it’s an absolute blast to play.

Leftovers KO! has a great hand-drawn look to it, but it is very challenging. It feels unfair, and making it so you need to do a star punch for each enemy is evil.

Dreamians: Card Battle is fine enough, but is largely underwhelming. It lacks features found in other deckbuilders that smooth out the experience and just feels like it comes from the 2000’s era of Flash games, warts and all.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die is a great time for any fan of roguelites. It is, unashamedly, like Hades, but also a seriously fun time that I enjoyed almost every single moment of… aside from some of the glitches I ran into.

An enchanting journey with a huge amount of things to see and do, FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time is a must-play that has something for everyone to enjoy.

Car Dealer Simulator is an enjoyable experience with satisfying gameplay for the car enthusiast. However, there will be moments of tediousness and frustration along the way, and whether it’s worth it or not is up to you.

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM SEED BATTLE DESTINY REMASTERED is a title that Gundam fans will love, though it is a bit unbalanced, making it quite challenging.

MEMORIAPOLIS is great if you’re looking for a game about numbers rising that will, eventually, get more interesting. If not, then maybe stick with one of the Civilization games.

Polterguys is a fun party game full of traps and betrayal as you try to avoid the monster. You don’t need to be the fastest, as long as there’s someone slower than you.

Aureole: Wings of Hope is an insanely fast-paced, side-scrolling platforming title that is amazingly addictive and challenging.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master is a fun title, with a few unfortunate drawbacks stopping it from reaching its true potential.
