Silly Polly Beast is a visually striking and emotionally heavy indie experience that blends punk aesthetics, brutal storytelling, and bold experimentation. Despite its clunky combat and uneven mechanics, its unique identity and strong atmosphere make it a project worth remembering.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon builds on a solid and familiar structure, very similar to that of its two predecessors, while significantly deepening its connections with the other chapters of the Trails series. Although its narrative suffers from notable pacing issues, the experience is upheld by a charismatic cast and a robust combat system.

Unfortunately, Fighting Force Collection is less than the sum of its parts (which aren't amazing on their own). The first game is more appealing and easier to pick up, as its beat 'em up premise, despite being simple, works well, especially when played with a friend. Both are entertaining for a while, but their mechanics are practically outdated for current 3D games. That is where the collection could have improved things, with more technical enhancements, interesting materials about the games, and gameplay options. Considering the complete package, it is worth for nostalgia or curiosity reasons, but very little beyond that.

Philna Fantasy builds a welcoming world and a simple, well-executed story. The problem arises when the replayability proposition exposes weaknesses in systems that should support the experience in the long term.

Lil Gator Game: In the Dark continues the adventure of the imaginative little alligator with the same excellence, and the new equipment is just as fun as the originals. However, it would be good to help children find their way around such a large cave, even if it's filled with pretend monsters.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 2 doesn’t close the book on the tale of the four girls from Velvet Cove in the best of ways, but the issues with this finale don’t cancel out the narrative’s extremely high quality and certainly don’t diminish the splendor of Tape 1. Even though it’s a little dire sometimes, the sum of both parts is still one of the best adventure games of the year.

While Star Overdrive reaps the rewards of its bold proposal, it also suffers in some areas. The results are more than positive, with an engaging adventure full of exploration through fun surfing, as well as cool special abilities, great for solving puzzles and explore this enchanting world. Other elements fell short and limited the overall experience, but it is still worth checking out, especially for those who enjoy an original and refreshing game.

Platypus Reclayed brings a picturesque combination of an unusual visual style for games in general, especially for shoot 'em ups, with a fierce difficulty level and crazy power-ups. You could even say it's a game made, and remade, with detailed and artisanal craftsmanship.

Gambonanza is a good game with the potential to be great. With some adjustments to the probability system and the balancing of the gambits, it could establish itself as one of the most original productions in the genre. For now, it falls into the category of games that impress with their idea, but leave us a little disappointed in their execution. Promising, fun, and at the same time, unnecessarily unfair and punitive.

Street Racer Collection is a compilation that may divide opinions: while some of its features haven't aged so well for its more than 30 years, it's a cool title that performed decently on platforms with different engineering, making it an item that will at least satisfy the curiosity of younger players and the nostalgia of older ones. The combination of ROMs provides the final touch that makes this collection worthy of being part of any collection.

With beautiful visual presentation and exemplary pixel art, 9 Years of Shadows doesn’t achieve the same refinement in its gameplay and story. Some boss fights are truly fun and challenging, but the rest falls into the field of average quality. This is a game I recommend to anyone looking to delight in the aesthetic beauty of sophisticated pixel art, because that's what it has in spades.

From the Ashes complements the arc of the main game coherently while providing synergy with the latest film. By introducing a more brutal protagonist and focused, compact missions, it reinforces the saga's core themes without losing the fun. Despite inheriting conventional systems and occasional bugs from the base game, it stands as a solid and visually striking DLC tailored for fans of James Cameron’s universe.

South of Midnight is an experience that unfolds like a fireside fable: intimate, full of symbols, charged with memories. For those seeking something different, something that whispers rather than screams, this is a journey worth experiencing.

Biped 2 is a solid and charming sequel that maintains the charisma of the first game and enhances its cooperative gameplay with new challenges and interactions. The experience becomes even more engaging when played in a group, as the need for coordination and communication between participants creates hilarious and challenging moments. However, the lack of progress sharing between game modes ultimately undermines the overall fluidity of the experience.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is a solid sequel that expands on the foundations of the previous game while exploring more contemporary approaches. The battles are fun, there are plenty of customization options for your armor, and a lot of content to explore. That said, it’s quite a repetitive game and artistically unremarkable, in addition to presenting a narrative that fails to effectively sustain its foundations. Even so, it’s an excellent experience for fans of giant robot games and similar concepts.

Hidden Cats in Spooky Village is another great option for those who enjoy fun and colorful puzzles. The hilarious situations created by the confusion of elements also add a lot to the game, even if this re-release, coming after a new game, seems to be missing some features.

Outlaws + Handful of Missions: Remaster preserves the identity of the original while adding technical and gameplay improvements that make the journey more accessible to today's audience. Although its dated mechanics may put off players accustomed to modern shooters, Outlaws remains an important milestone for LucasArts and a valuable piece for those who appreciate the history of video games — especially classic PC gaming.

Looking at its basic premise, Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey & Friends does a great job. Its metroidvania-style platform adventure that works well, with a top-notch production and fun challenges. The problem is that there are some issues that harm the experience for both kids (Brazilians mostly) and (especially) for other audiences. I leave this recommendation for platform fans and lovers of this beloved corner of the Disney universe.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon delivers what it promises: a love letter to the Western RPGs that marked an era and the hearts of many fans. However, it is clear that, to break through the niche bubble and truly stand out (as its greatest influences once did), more polish is needed in fundamental aspects, such as performance and difficulty.

The idea of mixing strategic management with existential drama and science fiction results in a game that will demand both the player's technical and social skills. This is where my perception of it being a weird subversion of a farm simulator, such as Story of Seasons, comes into play. It's just that instead of planting turnips, milking cows and trying to woo some of the village's bachelorettes (or bachelors), we have to mine an inhospitable planet, maintain a functional mobile base and prevent alternative versions of ourselves from killing each other. In short, The Alters can be as welcoming as it is irritating — but it is also unique in its own way.

I confess I expected less from Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Recent titles have alternated between highs and lows, but the new FPS managed to maintain the overall quality seen in last year's game. The biggest criticism is the campaign, which is, at the very least, controversial: not only does it force the player to go online and play cooperatively, but it also has a sometimes inconsistent storyline. In terms of Multiplayer and Zombies, we have fun and well-produced options. The former benefits from the futuristic setting, receiving interesting and timely updates. The latter remains addictive and varied, full of surprises for shootouts against the undead. Therefore, even if it's not revolutionary and still lacks information about Warzone, we have here a competent shooter, especially for those who are already fans of the franchise.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown really nails the pacing within the tactics genre, prioritizing a more aggressive combat style that feels like a dance when you’re able to quickly execute strategies and leverage each hero’s strengths. On the other hand, it’s a game that would benefit greatly from more polished visual details. It’s a highly experimental project that works well at its core but has plenty of room to grow.

Considering Killing Floor 3's core premise, the game is a success: fighting waves of monstrous enemies using powerful weapons and gadgets is always fun, especially with a well-coordinated squad. The problem is that, despite offering good variety at first, things become repetitive and uninspiring over time. It's a good suggestion for FPS fans or players who enjoy more hardcore cooperative games.

Boxville 2 is a charismatic, relaxing, 3 hours point-and-click adventure to fire up your brain and have fun for an afternoon. The beautiful, hand-crafted visuals and variety of puzzles are the highlights of the experience, but it fails in some quality-of-life aspects, especially the lack of chapter selection and hint system.

Split Milk Studios Ltd has chosen to greatly simplify the mechanics of Trash Goblin in order to appeal to a casual audience. The game offers a cozy atmosphere and a satisfying sense of progression, even without the usual pressure found in management-focused titles. On the other hand, these design choices can lead to a gameplay experience that becomes repetitive and, at times, monotonous. Nevertheless, the overall result is positive, and Trash Goblin stands out as a solid option for those seeking a light and laid-back pastime.

While the original version was already fun and full of good ideas, Sigma Star Saga DX managed to make the experience even more enjoyable for modern days. By adjusting combat, maps, and text, the (re)release is a good choice for those who want an adventure with captivating characters, cool space battles, and various surprises. The novel features could have been a bit more in-depth to compensate for certain minor issues in the original game, but it's still a sufficiently interesting experience.

EA SPORTS Madden NFL 26 manages to be a solid entry in the football franchise, featuring excellent mechanics and dynamic gameplay. The game modes are ideal for those who are passionate about the sport and its tactics, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to play a full season in a simpler and more direct way. Furthermore, the content depth is lost without the inclusion of our language—which is a shame, as there are many fans of the sport here in Brazil.

Rendering Ranger: R² [Rewind] is part of a constellation of stars never before seen by the general public that finally gets its due spotlight. Even with a release three decades ago, the combination of mechanics and precise gameplay make it very attractive for those who would like to have a taste of the 90's in its natural state.
