KORG DSN-12 goes one step beyond its predecessor and takes synthesizing for the 3DS into a more advanced line. The result is a more complex effort, less accessible for newcomers to the genre, but very rewarding for those willing to invest some time and energy into this next generation of music software for Nintendo's handheld.

Donkey Kong Adventure is a very welcome expansion to the Mario + Rabbids universe and even if it is not the most ambitious expansion of all time, what it adds to the main game in terms of three marvelous characters and the variety of enemies and goals that come along with them is more than enough to make any fans of the original game fully satisfied with this additional element.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses arrived on the Nintendo Switch with the mission to become the ultimate experience of that name and while it may not outshine all its predecessors in every single aspect, Three Houses boasts the best world, plot and gameplay of the entire series. If some of its moments may seem too repetitive, the game's marvelous writing and plot development will help consolidate this as an indispensable game for any Fire Emblem fan or for any tactical RPGs fan, for that matter.

Throughout the game's puzzles, the player is free to take an individual approach which helps Uurnog stand out in its mechanics. A game that makes it impossible to have the same experience twice and which allows for a multitude of solutions to each challenge, this is indeed a title to be handled by anyone who enjoys a creative approach and out of the box thinking.

Rhythm Paradise Megamix is the ultimate version of Rhythm Paradise, boasting a great lifespan and a very varied content which will keep the players involved for long, fun, challenging hours. Its added story mode is not necessary and can make the experience longer but the main core of the game makes it the top title in the series.

Futuridium EP Deluxe is a fun, slick and addictive score-attack shooter that shows excellent production values and is simple enough to get the players' attention immediately. While the difficulty curve can get too steep by the end of the game and sometimes, the depth perception would need slight adjustments, this is a game that is recommended to all those who enjoy fast-paced, fun experiences and who derive a huge sense of satisfaction from improving their high scores.

Featuring original and well designed puzzles, a good soundtrack and intuitive controls when played on handheld move, The Room is perfectly at home in Nintendo's system and it could be even better if it was more appealing to return to on a long term basis and if its price was a bit friendlier.

Spirit Hunter: NG seems like a perfect match for the Nintendo Switch. Whether played on a large screen or as a handheld game, it's successful in transmitting an ambiance of horror that will keep the players on their toes, aided by the game's plot and audiovisual environment which together build a world filled with restlessness and fear.

Pinball FX3 brings to the Nintendo Switch a wealth of tables based on many different and very known licenses from the worlds of gaming and film. Thanks to the option for a vertical view, the game allows the player to have a full vision of the table and the game offers enough fun for many, many hours of play.

The way its gameplay and its challenges are designed, Snipperclips turns out to be less than thrilling when played by just one player and under-performing and somewhat chaotic when played by thee or four players. Through cutting, moving and rotating shapes, Snipperclips forms one of the most original two-player experiences on the Nintendo Switch so far.

Replay: VHS is not Dead is a challenging and enormously intricate puzzle platformer on a retro style that will surely find its audience among the Wii U players. With a difficulty level that rises without mercy and very entangling mechanics that force the players to pay close attention to the details of each movement, this experience could only benefit more from a local multiplayer mode.

Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 Plus is essentially an expanded version of its predecessor and one which does a very competent job at bringing the Pac-Man experience back, with all its frantically addictive gameplay that made the very first game an immortal classic, now with a cooperative multiplayer experience. While some more additions would be appreciated, this edition is certainly very welcome to the Nintendo Switch catalog, where it will find its place among the fans.

Lumo is a fitting tribute to isometric platform games which honours its retrogaming references with a progressive and well adjusted difficulty curve, as well as plenty of references to classic titles of years gone by. While the fixed camera may cause some issues in specific moments, the overall experience is nothing short of pleasant and enjoyable, whether on short or long gaming sessions.

Moonlighter is quite an original action game with roguelike elements and a management component which is surprisingly appealing to a wider segment of players than first thought. It also features a very swanky animation, plenty of visual details, a healthy lifespan and has the added advantage of being possible to play anywhere and anytime, which only makes this an even more attractive release.

This fighting game bears all the markings of a high quality effort, including a wide cast of characters, a marvelous combo system and an exquisite audiovisual environment. While the game's plot and the way it is presented are nothing to write home about and it can get frustrating at times, this is a fantastic addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue when it comes to competitive fighting games.

Once again, the Donkey Kong Country series returns to the spotlight. Tropical Freeze is a worthy successor and Retro Studios has done a fine work in bringing the series to Nintendo's current generation. Loading times and underwater controls could be improved, though, as they're standing in the way of an excellent platforming experience.

Yoshi’s New Island tries to replicate the first chapter as often as possible but its lack of new elements and an ever-present feeling of repetitiveness keep the 3DS title from reaching the same heights as its SNES forefather. Valiant Hearts: The Great War is not just a point and click adventure with some puzzles in the middle, it's a game that captures World War I in a strong, unforgettable way and which displays it through a marvelous visual outlook that will involve the player from the beginning to the end. The puzzles could certainly be more challenging but Valiant Hearts focuses on the experience and livelihood and this is something the game undoubtedly excels at.

Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is pretty much what its name suggests - a more challenging take on the game Mutant Mudds.
