Telling Lies is not like most other games and while many could have easily ruled out games that make use of Full Motion Video, this work does a remarkable job at it. Thanks to its plot, a great actors' performance and good implementation of a touch-screen control system, Telling Lies will reward those players who will invest the necessary time and concentration to follow the game's plot.

Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water is a beautifully-crafted horror game that makes use of a perfect formula of fear and stress to immerse the player into its atmosphere. One of the best horror games in recent times and a compulsory element in the collection of anyone willing to be plunged into a world of fear where they have nothing to rely on other than their wits and a camera.

Child of Light is nothing short of a delight of appealing mechanics and marvelous artistic component, set to enchant those looking for a charming RPG. Its storylines could use some additional development, as well as more tasks outside the plot’s line, but this remains a solid choice.

Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, the final chapter in Fire Emblem's new trilogy closes the history of this new opus and provides a very sharp gameplay with a marvelous visual environment. Players who are looking forward to a rich and well-crafted plot, though, might find themselves disappointed, as Revelation rather stands out in the gameplay front and its new scenarios end up falling behind expectations.

La-Mulana 2 is a sequel that improves on the legacy of its predecessor in nearly every single way and which brings an overall improved Metroidvania experience to the Nintendo Switch. Its difficulty level may get frustrating sometimes but dedicated players will be duly rewarded by the effort they put into it, and with its charming 16-bit era visual world, wonderful soundtrack and entertaining plot and dialogues, La-Mulana 2 will certainly appeal to most players out there.

The World Ends With You makes its premier on a home console and this Nintendo Switch version is certainly filled with elements that should attract any player's attention, from its dynamic combat system to its art style and fluid gameplay...as long as it's played on the Switch as a handheld, since the use of the conventional control system brings some interactivity problems and turns a fluid gameplay into something more clunky than it is acceptable. Regardless of that, this version of The World Ends With You is without doubt a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Bringing LEGO City Underground to the Nintendo Switch four years after the game's original release is not without its risks but the result is overwhelmingly positive. This is a game that carries out a smooth transition to its new format and which keeps a very fun campaign and featuring content that will keep the players entertained for a long time.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty is a competent port of a fun, creative and original game which despite its almost 20 years of age, still holds on today. There are occasional bugs which should be corrected but the experience is overall marvelous and a very good example of how to blend a 2D platformer with puzzle-solving challenges.

The game remains addictive, especially in its cartography system, and its contents will keep the most demanding players entertained for nearly 50 hours. While its plot and characters end up falling for the usual JRPG clichés and the restaurant management system is hardly the most exciting feature, this remains a fine game whose shortcomings are minimized by its all its redeeming qualities.

Disgaea 4 Complete+ picks up the fourth chapter of the Disgaea series and treats it to additional content across every level. If the plot is not the finest ever written, that matters less when looking at the immense amount of content and possibilities of growth that come with this version. Thanks to a ludicrous amount of things to do, Disgaea 4 Complete+ is a marvelous option for fans of the series and for those who enjoy a good tactical RPG.

Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle brings seven historic Capcom beat 'em up games to the Nintendo Switch in a collection that acts as a retrospect of the genre. The games are accurately portrayed and feature an enjoyable cooperative multiplayer but the online component displays some problems and the game feels limited in its audio and visual options. Nevertheless, this is an impressive collection of beat 'em up classics, both for fans and new players.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a surprising and unlikely game - or perhaps surprisingly unlikely, as it offers fun and engaging combats, a good variety of characters and abilities to choose from and a series of mechanics that will make many players interested in a tactical turn-based RPG crossover featuring Mario and the Raving Rabbids. Upon realizing all this, the most pressing question would be: why hasn't anybody thought of this before?
