Forgotten Sands delivers a nice experience even on PSP: despite the clumsy combat system, the level design is brilliant, and the game is recommended to adventure game lovers.

Despite a few technical flaws that currently penalize only the Nintendo Switch version, and that we hope will be resolved as soon as possible, Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is a good starting point for the intellectual property of Nippon Ichi Software, which for too many years had rested in deep oblivion. Confining ghosts is a gameplay dynamic that is damned complex and difficult to master, but given its uniqueness, it wouldn't surprise us at all if this allowed the franchise to compete with the best exponents of the genre. Even twenty years after the debut of the original, it would seem that Phantom Brave still has something to say and a lot to teach contemporary strategy games.

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is a difficult product to classify. While the developers at Leenzee Games have stuck too closely to FromSoftware's original formula, even imitating its narrative style, the Chinese team deserves credit for trying (in some cases) to shake things up when it comes to gameplay. Unfortunately, not everything works as it should, especially technically, and the difficulty curve is a bit uneven. That said, we're confident that fans of the genre will appreciate it despite all its limitations.

With Aragami 2, the development team changes artistic direction, replenishes the gameplay with everything that has been released in recent years and add content to content, preferring quantity to quality. With a little more care and a better finish, Aragami 2 could have been a jewel: as it is, it remains an effective product, but still leaves a little bitterness in the mouth.

A wider Story Mode and the possibility of taking advantage of a more structured tutorial could have further enriched a title that was already solid in terms of content, which is placed with originality in the panorama of management systems with a corporate background.

If you take into consideration the single player campaigns and those alone, then what you get is a wonderful remaster, one of the best ever done on a famous brand. On the other side, if you're interested in the online (as you probably will be), just know that the current issues won't let you enjoy any of it,and that's not just an enormous issue, but an unforgivable misstep as well.

After a slow start, TWD's second season has found a good balance with its middle chapter. Now, at the beginning of the end, we expected something more in terms of climax. Let's hope the last chapter gets back on track.

Fans of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle will immediately feel at home among the streets and underground passages of Rome explored in Order of Giants. In terms of dialogue, cinematics, and recreation of real-world locations, the DLC performs quite well and offers mostly well-crafted puzzles, with the exception of one puzzle that was interesting on paper but not without its rough edges in practice. Narratively, this content has its moments, but in our opinion, it failed to fully exploit the potential of the main elements constituting the story, which proved anything but essential. That said, those who want to extend their stay in the world built by Machine Games now have the opportunity to do so.

Although devoid of temporary power-ups and other mechanics of the genre, New Super Lucky's Tale is an honest and fun platformer, whose main defects are represented by a longevity that runs out in 8-12 hours and a challenge rate calibrated towards the bass.

If for wines there are memorable vintages and others less so, the same can also be said for the annual sports simulations. MotoGP 23 proves to be a perfect game for those approaching the world championship for the first time or for those who have skipped a couple of editions of the Milestone series. The neural aids and AI in general work, the new career has more bite and depth than previous incarnations and the dynamic weather conditions (including Flag to Flag) give a new dimension to the racing. Those who have played the 2022 edition, however, will find very few differences in the driving model (however improved) or on the graphics front. With the launch of RIDE 5 in a few months and a possible new chapter dedicated to SBK, Milestone has played it safe with a conservative approach, a bit too much for our tastes.

Resident Evil 5 is not a masterpiece. It lacks originality, and reuses old gameplay mechanics that seem too scheming and stiff for the next gen standards. RE 5 stands in a sort of Limbo: it doesn't have the dynamism of an action game, and it lacks emotional transport typical of a survival horror. Despite this, it is still a good gaming experience, thanks to the excellence in graphics, the solid plot, the variety of the situations. It's a good ending for a series that needs a refreshing twist.

The too repetitive combo system and a non-exceptional online do not allow it to enter the Olympus of fighting games, but it is certainly an enjoyable title that can be used as a "bridge" to other much more complex exponents of the genre.
