A farm simulator that’s both simple and smart, with game mechanics and features taken from other popular games and genres. One of the best indie games to date.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition is a simply unmissable opportunity for those who have not yet had the opportunity to play the game: with its exceptional visuals and a steady framerate, it's an excellent trailblazer for the upcoming 9th generation of gaming.

Did we really need it? Nope. Is it too expensive? Yes, it is. But who cares, it's a game of eternal beauty, and after this graphic overhaul it still wins against the majority of "new" triple A games on the market. Hands down.

XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is a splendid effort that transforms a fun game into an astonishingly deep and interesting tactical and strategical experience. It is THE way to play XCOM 2.

Action, platform, card-based FPS, visual novel and a little touch of Suda 51's style make this addictive speedrunner game a little gem with massive replayability.

Joe Danger Touch is to the first Joe Danger what Rayman Jungle Run is to Rayman Origins: a brand new game for the franchise, re-designed from scratch to embrace all the features of the iOS devices family. And of course, funny and addictive as hell.

A perfect working mix between fights and exploration: high rhythm, never boring. You're going to feel pure fun as if you're back again playing coin-up, being stuck with your pad, achievement after achievement, enjoying it for hours. Nothing more to ask from a game such this.

Spelunky is back on Vita and PS3 with a solid conversion and some new features. Local co-op on a separate screen on Vita is a nice addition but the lack of the daily challenge feature may be a weak point for someone. Recommended if you’re an old-school gamer.

Modern Warfare 3 is a funny and entertaining game. If you liked the previous chapters of this huge franchise you'll love this new one. Infinity Ward has done a very good job offering a complete package with a honest single player, a great co-op and a quite different multiplayer from that of Black Ops. Unfortunately, the sensation of playing a "more of the same" game in quite intense.

What Remains of Edith Finch is an emotional journey through some of the most beautiful stories ever told in videogames. Some might call it walking simulator, others simply a masterpiece. We undoubtedly prefer the second one.

This Director's Cut fixes a few big issues of the original Deus Ex Human Revolution. Thanks to the redesigned boss battles and to the great use of the Wii U's GamePad, this is the best version of the title to date. If you didn't play the game two years ago, this is the moment to try one of the most interesting cyberpunk experiences of this generation.

Vastly entertaining but highly derivative, Bethesda's latest effort perhaps isn't the behemoth of originality that some expected it to be, but still it is a game that every fan of stealth-oriented action/adventures shouldn't miss.

The PC version of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is much better than the previous chapter of the popular Ubisoft franchise. The more user friendly DRM, the inclusion of every DLC of the console version and the better optimizations of the game, grant a great experience to who will decide to buy this product.

Mario Kart 8 is the perfect evolution of an excellent franchise. Nintendo has done a wonderful job creating a visually stunning racing game and giving players tons of fun. Is this the best Mario Kart ever? Probably not, but it's the best since the Nintendo 64 era.

With Super Mario Maker, Nintendo is giving you the entirety of its legacy, along with a perfect editor to play with. Both creators and old school players will find in this game a fun, powerful and addictive experience.

Bioshock 2 is a very good game. The journey back to Rapture is a success due to the new gameplay balancing: the combination between new powers, new weapons and new tonics is perfect to give the player the chance to specialise himself. We expected a little bit more from the multiplayer, well done but without anything special that makes it emerge among the other titles. Most of all, anyway, Rapture is non so fresh anymore, and the deja-vu sense is too strong.

Despite the good number of new contents and extras, we can only recommend the Definitive Edition of Ori and the Blind Forest to anybody who doesn’t have played the game yet. But if you have already explored Nibel from start to finish, you can get the upgrade for a reasonable price.

If written words don't scare you, Virtue's Last Reward is one of the best interactive books to date. Chunsoft's game mixes a great narrative with the hardest moral choices you can find in a game. Will you be a traitor or a betrayed?

Bad Company 2 does not redefine the FPS genre but confirms the series as one of the most solid shooter experiences out there. The single player experience is not always convincing while multiplayer is dangerously addictive.

Left Behind is a stunning DLC. A little bit short, but still impressive, emotional and incredible. You'll be dragged into Ellie's past with a mix of crushing feelings you'll never forget. And yes, we're still speaking of "just" a videogame.

Far Cry 3 is an exceptional FPS with fun mechanics and excellent characterization. Unfortunately it wastes a fair number of opportunities offered by its huge open-world background. Plus, the secondary activities are not as fun as they could have been, and the island is too extensive to be interesting in the long run. Anyway, this game has surprised us.

Rift Apart in is the update that the Ratchet and Clank franchise needed. Insomniac has created an incredibly entertaining product, which never ceases to amuse. Unfortunately, a certain instability of the code (even after day one patch) prevents the game from reaching a higher score, but we feel confident that future updates will fix the code.

Rogue Legacy 2 is the perfect sequel of an already brilliant roguelite. It adds more depth and variety to a winning and enjoyable formula, exploring new ideas that were pretty absent in the preque. This time the game is both hard to master and easy to access: you don’t have to be a roguelite and metroidvania hardcore gamer to have a good time.

Shovel Knight is a heartfelt homage to the NES days, with tight gameplay, simple but effective 8bit-ish graphics and a killer soundtrack. It could use a couple of levels more and additional game modes.

As beautiful and engaging as the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions but, unfortunately, this version comes with a bitter drawback: the co-op mode is gone!
