The 50 action packed levels full of smooth gameplay are a true bargain at 15 Euros on Live Marketplace and 10,99 Euros on Steam. OMD! misses the excellence just because of the absence of multiplayer: with a coop mode it would have been great.

Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is simply awesome. The single player Campaign Mode is an incredible surprise and is worth a few play throughs. Treyarch did a great job balancing the multiplayer experience, playing simple and focused. The final result with the CODcasting is something great and the online streaming as a nice bonus. This is the best year to buy a CoD game.

After almost 20 years the king of survival horror is back for both the new and old generations and it's still a great experience. Hail to the king!

This War of Mine describes brilliantly the darker (and at times brighter) sides of the human being. “Fun” is not the best word to describe it, but it sure is compelling and a good challenge as well.

Devil Daggers is a brilliant old school shooter inspired by Doom and Quake, that offers an adrenalinic experience condensed in few minutes. Gameplay is very simple and addictive, and you will get busy for a long time with this game, hoping to survive till the end and to climb the online ladder. Even though a single run lasts few seconds.

Crown of the Old Iron King is a challenging add-on with tons of enemies and a great aesthetic. You'll have to plan your strategy in order to survive the deadly ambushes set by hidden enemies. For 10 euros you'll get an interesting new area for a really good game and so... buy this DLC.

Sine Mora is a pretty good experience. Any kind of player could enjoy this game, from the casual to the hardcore one. The gorgeous graphics, the awesome design and a simple but effective gameplay, are enough to keep you glued to your console for months.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition is a great fighting game. This version is as great as the others, and the nice extras are good enough to grant fun and laughters. If you're looking for a good fighting game for the new Nintendo console, this is your best choice.

Considering the initial expectations, Final Fantasy XIII is definitely a disappointment. Although the adventure looks absolutely stunning (especially on PS3), the gameplay lacks in terms of depth in a way that no one could have expected, and if we add to the equation the extreme linearity of most of the adventure, the whole experience is far from perfect. Anyway, we can't blame Square Enix too much: this is where mass market is leading us.

A great game and nobody should buy a PlayStation Vita without purchasing this Ubisoft game too. The same awesome gameplay of the first episode is still there, now with a couple of new tricks like the avatar's power up. The new soundtrack is just perfect and the stylish skins look great on the Vita screen.

Aside from a couple of incomprehensible mistakes (like multiplayer lobbies which can’t be escaped and the inability to change your loadout between games), Splatoon 2 is a really entertaining title with vibrant visuals and a rich and diverse offer. A suggested buy for every Switch owner.

World of Tanks Blitz is an incredible mobile game.

Just Cause 2 is pure fun. Panau Island is the perfect setting for a game like this, and it offers loads of places were to unleash the hell with big explosions and crazy fights. The graphic is sharp, and the global impression is always good. The game is just a little bit repetitive, but it's a quite small problem for this kind of experience.

The PC version of Darksiders proves to be as good as (and possibly even better than) its console counterpart. The brilliant action-platform formula is in fact a winning one, that surely makes Vigil Games' work worth a close look. Considering the lack of action titles on PC, it's a must-have for all those looking for console gameplay on a personal computer.

Old World Blues is surely the Fallout: New Vegas' best DLC so far. If you were looking for an excuse to go back to the Mojave, you now have one!

NHL 13 is back with a new physics system, new game modes, a revamped lighting system and a better AI (but only for the goalies). With the disappearance of the 2K series, EA could have played it safe but instead chose to improve again.

Though being a well-crafted game that will surely please fans of the series and genre, Resistance 3 fails to reach pure excellence due to some unattended promises and a far too classical concept that lacks any sort of innovation. It will guarantee hours in fun in both single player and multiplayer, but Insomniac could have surely done something more if its aim was to reach the top.

Orcs Must Die! 2 is the natural evolution of the first chapter and, for tower defence co-op lovers, is truly a must buy. The fun of this new multiplayer mode balances the lack of evolution in the gameplay and, for 13 Euros, it would be embarrassing to ask for more.

Octopath Traveler is not a perfect title, the fragmented narrative and certain predictable mechanisms in the progression system could make many people turn up their noses. Nevertheless it remains a unique RPG, able to combine the nostalgic charm of the classics with a modern and captivating writing.

Triangle Strategy is an excellent turn-based strategy RPG that borrows Octopath Traveler's HD-2D rendering technique to create a cohesive and fascinating high fantasy universe. The story is beautiful and full of twists, the gameplay is deep and full of possibilities. If you like the genre and you are not afraid of long dialogues, you cannot miss it.

This Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is less useful than the Jak & Daxter HD Collection, but it still good, actually. Every chapter of this nice saga looks quite similar to the other Ratchet & Clank games, but if you like these kinds of experiences, you'll find tons of fun in this Trilogy.

The Swapper delivers nice gameplay mechanics solid and engaging story, and good graphics... too bad that is too short.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection contains four GBA games of the Zero series, and two DS games of the ZX series. All of them are playable with enhanced graphics through a couple of filters and there are nice add-ons too in the form of new modes that increase accessibility or expand longevity. Meanwhile, a huge gallery full of artworks and soundtracks will surely please all the fans of the series.

The superiority of the PC hardware compared to old-gen consoles allow Revengeance combat system to shine, making it an excellent surrogate for Vanquish and Bayonetta on this platform.

If you're looking for another traditional Castlevania game, Lords of Shadow could lead you on the wrong path. MercurySteam adopted a different style, bringing together the best ideas of many other popular games. The result is a juicy cocktail of modern gameplay and technical wonders.

Rise of the Godslayer is the first expansion in this MMO from Funcom. As the final result of a constant process of updates, patch after patch Age of Conan has now become a complete game under the PVE point of view, despite there is still a lot to do to improve the PVP.

The end of the world (as we know it) has never been so entertaining. Darksiders is a new, promising dawn in the action/adventure genre, despite some technical issues and some minor flaws in the gameplay.

Alan Wake is a game that can guarantee 10 hours of spooky shootings to survival horror addicts. The gameplay is not the revolution that Remedy promised in the age of hype, when "next-gen" was still synonymous of hardware innovation, but for 20 bucks you can be sure that all the issues and the aging of the game have been already discounted.

With the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall, EA offers the same fresh, new and different first person shooter experience of Xbox One. The lack of a solid Campaign mode and the disappointing number and variety of game modes are a shame, but this is still a very good way to start a new IP.

Monaco is a good game but with too many repetitive mechanics and without a real differentiation between the characters. The coop mode starts with a bang but eventually becomes a little bit boring.

A good remastered version of the “classic” title. Still funny and chaotic as always, with better graphics and a stable 60fps. Unfortunately it’s way too similar to the original and has with it a price that is too high for a seven-year-old game. Still, if you don’t know it, it’s a suggested buy (but wait for a discount!).

Even if the game in itself it’s not groundbreaking, everything is made in order to build an atmosphere. And this kind of feeling has not been lost during in the conversion to PS Vita.

Moss: Book II feels like a natural evolution of the first, charming game with new way to play with Quill and a more vast and interactive world. Not groundbreaking but still incredibly entertaining.

Thanks to its karma system which translates in two different adventures for the price of one, inFamous 2 would already prove itself a real must buy, but if we add to that a refined gameplay, impressing visuals and an all-rounded fun and engaging adventure, the game surely deserves a place in any gamer's collection.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker has a great gameplay and narrative depth. Despite the great variety available, it soon becomes repetitive, leaving the player less involved as at the beginning.

Maybe Asphalt 7 is not so innovative as we might expect from the 7th chapter of a well known Gameloft franchise and yes, if you already own Asphalt 6 you could easily live also without it. But believe me, going wrong with Asphalt 7 is pretty impossible: great graphics, excellent gameplay, intuitive control system. Considering its starting promotional price, denying it a chance would be a huge mistake!

Advanced Warfare isn't the revolution Call of Duty needed. Exo movements are a lot of fun in multiplayer, but are underused during the campaign. Exo survival is not as strong as Zombie modes or Spec Ops. Yet this episode is the most original in recent years.

Based on an original, "rotating" idea, And Yet It Moves acquires a new dimension thank to Wii Motion controller; it could be boring on the long run, but as long as you try a stage for the first time, it will be very funny.

Someone could call it a “Diablo clone”, but truth is that it's the real Diablo's son we've been waiting for a long time. Respectful of its parents, Torchlight creates a lovely experience through sparkling landscapes, giving new life to the “mouse smashing gameplay”. Its simplicity is worth its weight in gold.

NBA 2K15 is a big step forward for the series, but servers have to improve to make the game perfect.

Stylish action and surprisingly deep storytelling are the two main pillars of an extraordinary action game. Katana ZERO is a must have and probably one of the best game published by the iconic Devolver Digital. It's fun, smart and challenging in the best way possible.

Limbo, after eight years, has stood the test of time, coming in excellent shape. Landing on Nintendo Switch is the worthy conclusion of a journey started on the right foot.

WRC 9 is the best chapter produced so far by the French team Kylotonn Racing, improving a very solid career mode and innovating the multiplayer.

Again, a Remastered version comes for the Nintendo Switch, this time bringing the Miyazaki’s masterpiece on a new console. The Switch is powerful enough to render every texture in HD but the framerate is not so stable as the last Remastered on PlayStation 4. Maybe not the best version, but the only one that allows to bring Dark Souls with you outside.

An excellent game, fully capable of recreating the intense and engaging atmosphere of the World Cup, as well as improving on its predecessor in many ways. If you love football, and look forward to the ultimate gaming experience in that sense, this is surely the game for you.

Finally PlayStation Vita has a great (but not flawless) game, tailored to its features, with great gameplay and gorgeous visuals.

Ruby Omega and Sapphire Alpha aren’t some random remakes but an interesting hybrid between a remake and a brand new chapter. Unfortunately, they are not as revolutionary as X and Y but the fans will still love these games.

The Frozen Wilds is undoubtedly high level content, albeit short. The gameplay and technical sector are still of a high standard, but the new setting, the new types of machines and the love of adventure, even in a land covered with ice, are particularly striking.

Beat the Beat Rhythm Paradise is very similar to the same game on DS but is still a joyful experience for you and your friends, despite the lack of a real multiplayer mode.

Sleeping Dogs is an extremely well realized "GTA-clone" with an interesting setting, story and cast of characters. The mix of martial arts, free running and shooting sequences is thrilling and gives this game an edge over many other similar titles.

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is a compilation that collects the arcade versions of twelve fighting games from the Street Fighter series. Four of the games support online multiplayer, including ranked matchmaking. The collection includes bonus features such as a museum to view concept art, pitch documents and facts about each release.

Devolver Digital and Sabotage Studio propose a game that could innovate its genre.

Thanks to its fascinating concept and engaging gameplay, Stacking proves able to assure a unique gaming experience for both PSN and XBLA users. Although the game has its faults, like an excessive accessibility, Tim Schafer's newest project surely deservers attention.

Grounded is a great little adventure capable of entertaining for many hours, as long as you don't suffer from arachnophobia. The whole crafting and survival structure works, a little less the limited combat system, but the general experience manages to give truly unique moments.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is what every CRPG should be. Great storytelling, complex and detailed combat system, very well written characters and an artistic compartment that does its job very well. A must play for the fans of the genre.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a new beginning for the hit Nintendo series. It is not a perfect game and it suffers particularly from a technical point of view but it is certainly the most exciting Pokémon adventure for a few years now.

Thanks to its fresh and engaging gameplay mechanics, Kirby: Mass Attack proves to be a well crafted platform that will surely appeal to the majority of Nintendo DS owners.

Double Fine manages to create an enthralling and entertaining product, whose unbelievable originality clouds every imperfection related to a gameplay less complex than expected. Brutal Legend holds the real essence of metal, depicting it in its purest form, in the way that each of us has dreamed of at least once in his own life. Whether you love heavy metal or not, this title will offer you an experience you will not forget… and, who knows, you could discover a hidden passion!

L.A. Noire is one of the greatest titles of this year and the real crime is that up to now PC players couldn't play it.

Dust: An Elysian Tail is good but not great. The graphics are gorgeous, but every other aspect of the game feels like it is incomplete, or simply ruined from bad design choices. Anyway, the experience is still good enough to grant some honest fun. 1200 MP are way too much, 800 would be much better.

Steel Division Normandy 44 succeeds in offering to players an interesting and fun WW2 based combat mechanic topping it with high production values and an astounding AI. Recommended across the board.

Hearts of Iron 4 is a wonderful grand strategy experience capable of giving the player many interesting levers while explaining them properly and efficiently; also it comes with top notch production values.

Skylanders: Swap Force innovates the franchise with new characters, new mechanics, new levels and new way for your children to spend money. Anyway, do not make the error to thinks it's just a “childish game”, since it can be be enjoyed by the grown ups too.
