Final Fantasy IX finally comes to PC after 16 years through an enhanced and remastered edition. This game is an absolute gem and one of the best episodes in the series. If you could not play the original version this is your chance to immerse yourself in one of the most emotional games ever created. We have to say that even if the port is well made, all the background images did not receive any resolution boost, and they appear blurry in comparison to the updated 3D textures.

I've been long thinking what score to assign to DJ Hero, and the final result is a heated 8, that has to sound as an encouragement for the sequel that Activision Blizzard will probably produce. Pokémon Ultrasun & Ultramoon are the new and last chapters of the series for the Nintendo 3DS. You will be back to Alola for a new adventure, offering different twists of the same story told in Sun & Moon. There are new activities and things to do, story is deeper and the post-game is more complex. And there all the legendary Pokémon from the previous generations. Ultrasun and Ultramoon are probably the most complete games of the series up do date, and will keep you busy and entertained for a very long time.

The characters that we’ll have to accompany in the afterlife are nice, and the writing is accurate and stylistically heterogeneous. Ron Gilbert and his crew are back from the past with a new adventure. Thimbleweed Park is a pure back-in-the-days game, when the genre was one of the most popular, with same mechanics and same pros and cons. Perfect for veterans but maybe not for everybody.

Sayonara Wild Hearts is the equivalent of a good concept album. A short and explosive trip, hypnotic and mesmerizing in its pop and ever-changing gameplay.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is a wonderful remake that eliminates all the sharp angles of its predecessor and can stand proudly in front of every modern 2D platformer. Maybe the hardcore gamers will frown in front of the quicksave function, but overall this is one of the best remakes ever made.

With a new sci-fi setting, transformable mechs and some brand new RTS mechanics, the original Warhawk formula has definitely grown up but all this novelty come for a price.

The latest entry in the endless Mario series is hardly "new" in concept, but doesn't fail to entertain and to represent yet another excellent platformer.

Ultra Street Fighter IV is a great DLC with dramatic changes to the previous editions of the popular fighting game. The new characters and arenas are just the smaller additions to the game, while the new balance and gameplay mechanics are the real deal.

Despite the fact that Rift is a well crafted game, with some fresh ideas and a nice class system, its desire to confront World of Warcraft ("We're not in Azeroth anymore") forces a point-to-point comparison where the Trion game doesn't succeed beat the Blizzard champion.

Telling Lies is a desktop thriller that takes a bit too much to be in gear and suffers from avoidable technical intricacy, but if taken with the right amount of patience,it gifts us with a story of love and violence, fear and lies, with credible and admirably interpreted characters.

Bioshock the Collection is an incredible package quality-wise. 2K made some history of videogames with this series and offering it in a graphically improved package for the price of one AAA title feels just right.

Cry Wolf provides a roller coaster of emotions and a perfect ending of this mature, charming and violent story.

Resident Evil 4 is still a brilliant game, but this HD version is not what we were dreaming of: it's just an upscaled version of the GameCube edition of "Resi 4". After 6 years of loyalty, we deserved something better from Capcom.

FIFA 16 provides a great football experience and though it's not perfect yet, it's a solid base for a full year of FUT and Season Online matches.

King of Cards is the richest campaign of Shovel Knight. Its classic and fluid gameplay meets a strategic card game, Justus, in which you can challenge many characters of the previous adventures.

FIFA 18 is a huge step forward for the series. Deep gameplay and rich game modes are combined in an excellent package. EA Sports has to give more juice to the defensive part of the pitch.

Black Ops 4 is one of the best Call of Duty games to date. The multiplayer and the Zombies experiences are excellent, but Blackout needs more personality and a different economic model to try to steal Fortnite and PUBG players.

With BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Arc System Works has worked hard in order to evolve the series with brand new mechanics, new characters and a lot of interesting tools. The lack of a good balance between the characters is the main issue with this fighting game.

Ghost of Tsushima is a it is an aesthetic masterpiece, confined in the canons of the typical open world. However the combat system works, and the setting recreated by Sucker Punch has a magnetic appeal. Recommended.

Created by the programmer, director and producer from titles like Simon’s Quest, Vampire’s Kiss and Symphony of the Night, Koji Igarashi, the game finally arrives to home consoles and PC after a successful crowdfunding campaign, but also a troubled development. Thankfully, the wait was definitely worth and we finally have a huge game, with deep combat and craft systems and loads of game modes. This is without any doubts one of the best Metroidvania of the year and a great Castlevania spiritual successor.

Thanks to its amazing world of possibilities, deep gameplay mechanics and engaging progression, Anno 2070 proves to be a top class sim-RTS destined to entertain any fan of the genre for a very long time.

Persona 5 Strikers is an excellent title, both for musou and jRPG lovers. Compared to the original Persona 5, the game experience is certainly simplified, just as the narrative never points to a real evolution of the characters already known. The compromise between the two videogame genres is still a success and, before you know it, you may find yourself having grinded dozens of hours of gameplay in what, all in all, is a wonderful new experience with our beloved Phantom Thieves.

Back To Karkand is a great DLC. The four maps are true classics from a glorious past, now even more awesome than ever thanks to the Frostbyte 2 engine. The new objective system is really nice and grants a brand new experience to the original game.

It was very difficult to translate all of the systems of Crusader Kings 3 for console play and Paradox has done its best, but many UX choices are inexplicable and this port will not help newcomers to approach this great strategy game.

Brave but decidedly fascinating, I Was a Teenage Exocolonist is certainly not a title suitable for all palates, but which manages to transpose all the original elements of the classic role-playing games onto the screen in a truly convincing way. Featuring mature and by no means trivial themes, as well as an emotionally powerful soundtrack, I Was a Teenage Exocolonist can also count on a high replay value.
