It’s not as stunning as its predecessor and not a complete simulation of a racing career, but it can satisfy every aspect of your driving desire with an incredible cars roster and a nice variety of competitions is the key to avoid the boredom of the race-collect-buy loop of the single player mode. Still Forza Motorsport remains first place on the podium.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition is a great portable version of the Capcom popular fighting game. The differences between the traditional controls and the new version for the Touch Screen are big enough to change the original gameplay, creating a new and interesting version of Street Fighter.

Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U is exactly the masterpiece that we experienced on the other systems, plus some welcome new GamePad features. If there were a way to import the saved games from the previous chapters, this would have been our preferred console version.

The Legend of Heroes:Trails From Zero comes to the west for the first time since its original release on the PSP in 2010. A great remaster work covers textures, sprites, aspect ratio, frame-rate pop-in and obviously resolution. The game is smooth to play and gameplay aids help users to bypass long dialogues and accelerate battle encounters. A deep crafting system and a great story make this classic still enjoyable nowadays.

This new (and supposedly last) edition of Final Fantasy XII perfects the already excellent one on PlayStation 4 in 2017 and the following year on PC. The portability of Nintendo Switch is an added value of that version, thanks to a flexible gameplay that adapts to gaming sessions of any duration.

Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition is a seamless port to PS4 of a masterpiece of a PC RPG. Obsidian extreme level of quality arrives on PS4 with perfect adaptation and with its stellar gameplay intact.

Bravely Default is one of the best traditional JRPGs and the best new IP from Square Enix in years.

Old school gaming strikes back again, and its hits are as powerful as they once were.

Speaking about its multiplayer side, Battlefield 3 is awesome. The competitive online play and the six intense co-op missions offer a great experience, far away from the disappointing beta code. The single player on the other hand proves to be weak, but not enough to ruin the complete package.

Quake Remastered is the best way to enjoy a great classic from id Software. Despite the old school graphics, it’s fun and rewarding, especially thanks to the two unreleased DLCs developed by MachineGames.

Following FIFA's path, EA improved Madden keeping in mind the most important thing: the gameplay. It is deep, interaction is great, the action bring to an experience that you can feel in any other sport title of the publisher. There wasn't the hurry to find something new with Madden, but the work done is great anyway.

The Wii U version of Assassin's Creed III is still great, but the lack of cool features for the new GamePad has to be noticed. A number of frame rate issues and some bugs are enough to judge this version of ACIII the less impressive out there.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is a great fighting game. Arc System Works did a great job to resolve all the Calamity Trigger's problems, and the result is a perfect game for those loving complex mechanics and fast paced combats.

The Limited Edition of Life is Strange doesn’t introduce anything new. The graphics are the same, as well as individual episodes that form this wonderful adventure. The art book and soundtrack are still a nice plus that could push some collectors to purchase this edition.

Bit.Trip Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is a mix between a platform and a rhythm’n game. It looks sharp, it plays smooth and the music is the ‘Trip’ in the title. Try it for something simply funny.

Gore, violence and blood have never been so beautiful like in this "new" 8-bit game. Hotline Miami is pure gameplay, addictive and thrilling like no other. With an incredibly intriguing storytelling and a stunning techno-electronic OST powered by Jasper Byrne, Dennaton's game shouldn't be missed for any reason.

Football Manager 2011 is probably the best episode of the series: if you are looking for a complex, easy to play, deep, modern, excellent football manager, you have found it. No contenders, one king.

Amarcord operations like this one should be enforced by law: a masterpiece of videogame history is proposed again with new graphics and a new style. All has remained as we remembered, with its ironic strength and its perfection. Simply a myth.

GamePad integration is not so brilliant as it could have been, graphics shows some problems and B.A.T. Mode is interesting, but oversimplifies the Free Flow Combat System. Nevertheless, Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition is a great game, with a deep gameplay and compelling narration: if you've never played a Rocksteady game before, this could be a good start.

Inquisition can be considered the real sequel to Origins. Bioware has returned to its roots with an epic story, strong characters and a deep lore.

Dark Souls is a masterpiece, but From Software should have done a better porting to fulfill PC-users' expectations. Nonetheless, it one the best games of the past season, so close your eyes and have fun.

NBA 2K13 is full of good ideas, but Visual Concepts could have made a better and deeper use of the asymmetric gameplay.

Andrew Shouldice's Tunic is a little gem that mixes Zelda-like mechanics with light souls-like elements, inside a cryptic (maybe a little too much?) and fascinating story.

The portable version of Super Smash Bros. is technically impressive and really fun to play. Nintendo has done a great job shrinking this brawling game and turning it into an amazing 3DS title, despite the small screen of its handheld.

Obviously, DmC for PC is graphically better than the console counterparts. Fighting with Dante at 60fps is an amazing experience, with all the latest graphical effects you could imagine. Unfortunately no hi-res textures are present, but still it's an eye-candy roller-coaster.

With Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Square Enix has done a great job refreshing two old games and turning them into something appealing for the young players of the HD generation. Both the graphics and the sounds of the games are in a very good shape despite their origins.

Shovel Knight is a love letter to games from the NES era but also a great little contemporary game, fun, consistent and with the right amount of challenge.

With Defenders and the latest free update, Resogun has easily become the best arcade game available for PlayStation 4, but also one of the best exclusives for the Sony console.

The League of Explorers brings a nice small new mechanic, some fun bosses and a varied cardset to a game that’s growing stronger every day.

PES 2017 is a solid football game. The pace of the match, the adaptive I.A. and the perfection of the superstars are the best part of the game. Online performances and licenses are the downside of the best PES to date.
