16 missions in a single new campaign that covers a lot of the same territory and doesn't offer much in the way of new stuff may not hold your interest for very long.

A fun game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Therefore, players shouldn’t take in-game action too seriously either, and if true-to-life football, play-calling, and tactics is your thing, Blitz is definitely not for you. At the most, this is an arcade intended for a good time, though the fun can tend to be short-lived.

This is a beautiful, fun game with huge ambitions for being an important part of the Star Wars universe as it is today. It introduces a fascinating new character and injects her right into the main storyline. But it does so in such a disappointingly banal way, it’s hard to care after the story is over. Meanwhile, the fun continues for a bit in the multiplayer until you’re crushed under the boots of either “enormous grind” or “emptying wallet.”

The relative ease of the gameplay and the downplay of violence makes this an excellent game for kids of all ages - yet it's not completely sucky. A first-rate adventure for everyone.

If this game still had the previous (or an even deeper) fighting system, a run button, and weapons, it would probably already be a classic. While the visuals are amazing, the game just doesn't deliver as well in the fighting as it should.

Battleborn is definitely a title I can get behind with its unique first person shooter approach, awesome cast of characters, gobs of weapons and power ups, and a hilarious framework to tie it all together. The game will take some getting used to and will force a few seasoned vets to step outside their comfort zone to enjoy the genus wonders that lie within. The hefty price tag may come with some initial sticker shock, especially after first firing it up, but those feeling will soon fade as you dedicate some time to Gearbox’s latest work by mowing down hordes of enemies and laughing hysterically in the process.

Sadly, even with the nice additions of a story mode and a fairly robust cart customization aspect, the gameplay itself is the biggest deterrent of MySims Racing. It's not that the game can't be fun at times, but it definitely gets tedious quickly, and with the excellent Mario Kart Wii already available on the same system, it gets hard to recommend picking this one up.

It blurs the line between single-player and multiplayer styles, introduces an effective new movement system, and finds ways of discouraging all the obnoxious behavior common in most multiplayer shooters. The campaign is long, and the different classes allow you to play each mission over and over without getting bored.

With its faults, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes should be passed by on the shelf without even a second glance. With the immersive multiplayer gaming experience and its in-depth complexity, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes offers a challenge that any old-school player, or a newcomer to the genre, can't pass up.

Would have been a great game if the co-op system weren't so damn buggy. It's a good idea but its execution is spotty.

While it has issues the game is a good football game complete with realistic fatigue and injuries. It certainly showed promise for the next version and sports games in general.

Although the Cube version may be considered Rainbow Six 3 -Lite, it makes a good first-person shooter...Since there has been so much hype about this series for years, the less you expect from this game the better you'll like it.

It does have its charm but it's neither a great game to play nor is it any real shakes to look at.

I hate to see a series like Mega Man degenerate into some kind of Pokemon rip-off. At this point, Mega Man doesn't even have the credibility of Yu-Gi-Oh, in my opinion.

I had a ton of fun with Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable, and, as long as you don't try to take it seriously, there's actually an enjoyable experience buried under all these layers of campy schlock.

It’s a love letter to those who found magic in the first game. And for those folks still smitten, New World is sure to touch your heart.

Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition is easily the lesser of the two different versions of the game. It ditches some of what makes Drawn to Life so enjoyable, in favor of pandering to the kiddy crowd. The move is successful – any young SpongeBob fan is going to love this title – yet most gamers should do themselves a favor and just go with the original.

Considering that nothing new was added to the title and that the game's problems are somewhat exacerbated by the PSP's limitations, this is definitely the weakest version of the title yet. Still, Everyday Shooter is an enjoyable experience worth the $9.99 download price for more than just top-down shooter fans.

I love pinball but I have to admit that after an hour of play I want to do something else. Just about anything else. But that's the way I feel about real pinball.

The problems are pronounced and obvious, but somehow it has a charm and appeal that defies logic. This game is not for everyone. In fact, it won't be for most people. This game is a barrel of monkeys when you have friends over. Unfortunately, the single-player experience is wanting, and the lack of online multiplayer is a shame.

MotoGP 10/11 turned out to be fairly decent if not altogether impressive. The career mode alone should keep even the most seasoned of players occupied for a considerable amount of time, not to mention the online portion of the game.

While the game is good in small chunks, it gets monotonous quickly and doesn't have much replay value.

Humor saved the low-budget Evil Dead movies but it doesn't help the low budget presentation of the game.

The Clone Wars: Jedi Alliance is an impressive feat on DS, and it’s also an entertaining, often thrilling adventure. Though the gameplay has a few minor issues and it doesn’t tread any new ground, the presentation ties everything together to make for an experience that shouldn’t be missed by fans of this seminal, science-fiction franchise.

If EA had relied on their stellar background in sports to enhance QWC, this game would be infinitely better and much easier to play. That's not to say it's not enjoyable. It can be, at least before the challenge ramps up later in the game.

Basically in the same leagues as "Fury" which is disappointing since "Fury" is more than a year old already.

It's guaranteed not to frustrate the hell out of you while offering a challenge for each and every game.

Graphics notwithstanding, the developers have done a reasonably good job of replicating the hunting experience.

While there is a ton of content in this game between all of its modes, all but the missions that take you out of the cockpit play out similarly (take out this target, destroy these planes, and repeat).

Hefty chunks of Mothership Zeta feel formulaic and repetitive, yet the sting of the expansion's low points is countered somewhat by the impeccable presentation, smartly-implemented sci-fi vibe, and a few entertaining twists.

I imagine that only fans of the comic book will be willing to fork out that kind of dough for such a short visit with their pals that have been magically brought to life in the digital medium.

Though the production value leaves a lot to be desired, Test Drive: Unlimited 2 has a lot of content, and maxing out your stats and gaining levels in the game provides a fresh take on progression in the automotive genre.

There are an enormous number of mini-games under the hood here, and House Party is an odd yet inspired addition you won't find anywhere else. In spite of Wii Party's breadth of content, it's still a package with fairly limited appeal.

Tokyo Crash Mobs isn't a game that you'll want to play for long periods of time, but it's good fun for short gaming sessions. It is certainly the perfect game to play while standing in line, ninja levels excepted.

It's fun to pick up and play whenever you have a moment, but with the lowered production values you might have just as much fun with a mobile trivia game.

Juiced 2 seems more like an expansion pack to the original than a true sequel. However, it's by far the best of the two.

It's full of puzzles, investigations, exploration and the supernatural but there's a lot less action in it than you would expect for an action game.

I couldn’t ask for a more terrifying game. I wouldn’t call FNAF 3 fun. In fact, it’s pretty much the opposite of fun. It’s tense and stressful and sometimes makes you want to cry when it’s not wrecking you with just the right amount of gore to put horrible thoughts in your head. But that’s the point.

The only thing you need to know about Monster Hunter is that offline it's about as fun as an allnight marathon of infomercials. Online is a different story entirely. If you don't have a PS2 network adapter then don't even waste your time.

It is great to see games with a specific goal in mind succeed, and the funny thing is that Big Brain delivers in a pair, providing a learning experience and a degree in fun. I for one could not be happier.

There are a decent number of workouts to choose from, and the workout programs are a nice touch, but you'll burn more calories struggling with the controls than you will actually playing the game.

Like having an arcade in your own home. Maybe not the best arcade in town but more like the cheesy one you might recall on the wrong side of the tracks next to the 24-hour bowling alley and laundromat.

This is a mediocre effort in every sense of the word.

If the controls had worked slightly better and there had been some more play modes, especially online multiplayer, this could have been an exceptional title. As it stands now, it feels incredibly short and somewhat unfinished.

Unfortunately, even though this game sounds great, the controls reduce it to a mediocre status.

If you consider yourself a hardcore action hound, Ninja Blade offers up challenge in a delightful package that'll keep you busy as you patiently wait for God of War 3.

It maintains the old-school traditional gameplay but methinks that it holds it too tightly - like a wino hugging a bottle of cheap wine.

As long as you can stomach the lengthy and repetitive events found within, Top Spin 3 serves up some great tennis action complete with good controls, decent visuals, and difficult A.I. opponents.

This game allows you to mindlessly kick the crap out of things while playing as a badass vampire chick. If that sounds like something you'd like, then BloodRayne: Betrayal will not disappoint.

In terms of controls, fun, and general wackiness, Rango reminded me of the old Spyro the Dragon games, except not as refined. It's a sub-Spyro game, but again, for a game that was based off a movie, it is quite good.

Battle For New York will satiate the inner comic book fan for a few hours, but a rental would certainly settle your cravings for some Spidey action.

Probably the most addicting aspect of this game is that you never really know what to expect. The suspense can virtually kill you.

Break ‘Em All is not big on presentation, and that could easily be overlooked if the ball physics wasn’t broken. I would seriously advise that you rent this game first because the more difficult it gets, the more control you will have to exert over the ball and that just isn’t going to happen.

The online trading will allow you access to Digimon in both the Dusk and Dawn version. If you're a fan, expect a lot of game.

LostMagic is definitely for everyone. It incorporates different genres such as RPG, RTS, and action adventure to create an experience that is sure to bring you many hours of entertainment.

Don't get this game for the variety of modes. Get it for the simulation.

Do you want a modern RTS with an absurd amount of polish and visuals that make you feel justified in purchasing that high-end gaming rig? Well, you’ll want to look elsewhere. In fact, I hear StarCraft II’s new expansion is pretty great. But if you want to relive the glory days of when the RTS was first coming into its own as a genre (with a glorious palette of pixel art), then you can’t do much better than Age of Empires II: HD Edition.

Deadlight is a blast that reminds me of a game I loved in my youth (Flashback) without soiling that nostalgia or feeling like a blatant ripoff. It's a bit short, but it's perfectly suited for spending a lazy summer evening with.

Being an XCOM fan, I was sincerely hopeful that they didn’t destroy the name of this franchise with a generic third-person shooter, which could have easily been the case. But they didn’t. They did so much more. They expertly crafted the beloved gameplay elements of the XCOM universe into an intuitive third-person experience, while delivering an interesting story, which is no easy task.

I'm honestly astounded as to how any game can be so good and so bad at the same time.

Does so many things right. It's an action game for people who like cars, or perhaps a racing game for people who like action. In fact, it's both of these things at the same time.
