There are some issues with the controls, much of the gesture gameplay is gratuitous, and the game offers all the perplexity of a chemistry set. But folks looking to role play as mayor might consider SimCity Creator as a rental.

Code Veronica was an incredible game with stellar visuals, a tense atmosphere, and meaty campaign to keep you busy for a very long time. But now that it's been reanimated for the Xbox 360 and PS3, it's obvious how poorly the last eleven years have treated it.

Mahjong definitely isn't the most popular puzzle game out there, but Cub3d makes it feel modern and relevant. Simply put, if you are a puzzle fan, you'll enjoy Cub3d.

Project 8 is just another THPS, except without the "cool" factor.

There's not too much negative to say about the design of this game. I’m all for remasters of old games and keeping those same clunky mechanics with those old games, including the punishing difficulty. However, I want my sequels to old games to adapt and grow with the times. If Shenmue III had done that, it not only would have been a better game overall, it would have appealed to a bigger audience outside its cult following.

It's not as refined nor as fresh as the previous games in the series, but it's okay for a few larfs. However if you're looking for a quality quirky tennis game, "Mario Power Tennis" should still be your first choice, with "Top Spin" ranking as the current "real" tennis benchmark to beat.

Kane and Lynch reeks of an undercooked effort that should've baked a few more months in the development oven. If the care and polish that went into the wonderfully cinematic level presentation had also been applied to the writing and gameplay, it could've been a bar-raising effort for the third-person shooter genre.

The co-op and competitive modes make this game ripe for several playthroughs, and finding all of the game's items creates an additional challenge.

A very good Dynasty Warriors entry, if a somewhat traditional one. Its Vita-specific additions are somewhat lacking, and the core action will get repetitive over time, but it makes for a killer diversion and provides a wholly satisfying, console-quality Dynasty Warriors experience for the player on the go.

There are plenty of fun movie-inspired platforming levels, and the unlockable multiplayer modes certainly add some replay value. If you or someone you know loves the Ice Age franchise, then this game will certainly please fans without giving them too much of a challenge.

It will sharpen your skills if you're a novice but aficionados will likely shake their heads at some of the obvious flaws.

While there are issues, which are worst in MyCareer, it still is enjoyable. If you’re willing to play the long game and deal with the current difficulties, what you’re going to get is going to eventually be a good game with a solid experience. My guess is the issues will be fixed at least by the launch of the next gen systems so that every version of the game has a strong experience. The biggest issues might be fixed earlier. If you were dead set on getting the current-gen version, I’d say give it about a month. Things should be working better by then. And if you’re planning to play on console and upgrade to the next-gen consoles, get the Mamba edition. For $100, you got both the current and next-gen version as well as any fixes that had been put in.

What at first hints to lots of gameplay depth turns out to be a waste of time as the game reveals itself to be a basic action adventure game with platform and shooter elements. For what it is it's not bad but it's really nothing special.

The game was just that painfully disappointing. It's its own fault, though. It was touted by its team as a spiritual successor to Guardian Heroes, one of the best Saturn games of all time and a great side-scrolling beat 'em up in any context. The comparison, though, only holds up at the shallowest level of the surface, falling apart as soon as one scratches that away.

Not a game for everyone, or even for all horror fans. It will appeal to those in the very narrow center of the horror/visual novel Venn diagram. Those people, however, can expect an extremely well-written, disturbing set of mostly-disjointed tales that are united by the terror they propagate.

There are problems here, but it's a decent experience for fans of card games.

If you're a fan of action, MMOs, or comic books, and if you're looking to commit a lot of time to a single game, DC Universe Online will not disappoint you.

The characters look alright, but I honestly think they could've done better.

One Piece: Unlimited Adventure is certainly not a bad game. But its formulaic story, repetitive combat, and poor graphics prevent it from achieving success as a great game based on the One Piece franchise.

Its later levels can be a bit frustrating, but its espionage challenges are enough fun that you'll want to keep trying until you reach the final mission.

Resident Evil 6 is not a perfect game. It's not even all that scary, but it is immensely entertaining, gorgeous to look at, and it has more content than I've ever seen in a game like this. It might not revolutionize the genre like Resident Evil 4 did, but it does offer something for everyone.

It works well enough, and even though it's far too easy and features ridiculously simplistic gameplay, it still gets the job done. Still, paying $40 for a game that just gets the job done feels a little wrong, and if you are a real LEGO Star Wars fan, you would be better served picking up the console version.

Even the game's most tedious moments will offer a good measure of entertainment for strategy gaming fans, though a number of issues may eventually have you questioning whether it's worth sticking with in the long run.

A good game that players will both enjoy and find tedious. Hopefully, the franchise will progress with a third iteration, as sticking to a more complex, strategic-based formula would do wonders for the series. As it stands now, you'll have fun but wish for a whole lot more!

If you were expecting lightning in a bottle, Fuel keeps the electricity in the environmental elements and out of the gameplay.

The level of intensity is entirely up to you. You can play it like an action game or like a methodical chess match. Online and ad hoc modes will definitely extend the replay value since you don't have to worry about the unfair A.I. advantages.

For a game with such a compelling and original storyline it's too bad that more care wasn't taken to ensure other elements of the game would reflect that originality.

While Meet the Robinsons is nothing revolutionary, it does provide an enjoyable experience all the way around. If you are the type of gamer that loves platform games and loves the movie sub-genre just as much, then this game was designed with you in mind.

If you have played through Raving Rabbids on another console, there is really nothing new to offer with the 360 version, other than the ability to use the motion sensing Xbox Live Camera. However, the camera lacks the true total involvement that you experience with the Wii.

It almost seems as if those virtual barriers we often find in video games have disappeared in this game, as if magic had taken over and made this game endless.

The combat is sure to frustrate even the most forgiving of gamers, as you'll be doing more fighting with the controls than the actual enemies in the game. That being said, Fragile Dreams is worth fighting for.

A fairly disappointing title. It is clearly marketed to a younger audience but because it is so hard to control Dewy, it will most likely turn them away.

You can’t go wrong for the price, and this game is definitely worth adding to your collection, but preferably your PS3 collection.

It's guaranteed to bring about a few laughs but more than anything, it's entertaining. If we at CCCP developed a game show, it probably would be along the lines of You Don't Know Jack.

It will definitely pass the time while taking the subway to and from work but at the end of the day, you'll come home, turn off the PSP and fire up the console version which is a homerun compared to this ballwalker.

One very big frustration I have with this game is the music selection. To each his own, but when I play a baseball game I expect to hear the music associated with live baseball games - hip-hop, hard rock, and Latin music. For some reason, this soundtrack is filled with horrendous artsy indie rock, which to me, should not be the soundtrack to a modern baseball game.

If you don't have the means to play Roogoo on PC or Xbox LIVE, then Twisted Towers will do in a pinch, but prepare for a huge dose of overstimulation.

If you're tired of killing zombies, soldiers, and aliens-- or zombified alien soldiers--then you'll appreciate dealing Turok's brand of Jurassic justice. Just be prepared for a level of difficulty that'll have you restarting at the same checkpoints more times than you can shake a fossilized stick at.

The Dream of the Turtle has the basic point-and-click formula down to a science. It does have a style all its own and it's different enough to make it an interesting alternative for those looking for something different.

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars delivers a unique concept that stands out among the increasingly populated downloadable pack. It's too bad this charm wears off quickly, resulting in a game that feels more like a novelty than a crafty idea brought to realization.

The fighting mechanics are tight and responsive, in spite of a few technical shortcomings. It doesn’t feel weighty enough or polished enough to warrant a $50 price tag, but TMNT and Brawl fans alike might still get their money’s worth.

Being able to control some of the action on the touch screen is a nice feature and really comes in handy. I would have liked to see more things to do with the screen though.

This collection is a little something for fans to whet their appetites with in preparation for id's long-awaited reveal of the long-in-development fourth installment. With that said, this is one of the best HD re-releases I've played so far.

It stays true to the movie but at the expense of repetition and a convoluted storyline that tries to tie in all the filler. It's still a good game for anyone looking for an interactive movie that doesn't require much practice or skill.

Like a mini-game disguised as a real game. It's very generic in terms of gameplay and graphics and despite the poor inclusion of the touch screen controls and dual screen, the handheld novelty of the game doesn't add any "wow" factor either.

For a licensed game, I think the developers have done a very good job of creating a unique game experience that lets you experience the source material in two completely different ways. With an innovative multiplayer function, unique story mode, and good technical specs, Transformers: Decepticons looks like it may be so good it's evil.

Thanks to some new mechanics tossed into an old (and some would say dying) genre, Geist delivers a FPS experence that you've never had before and that definitely counts for something.

Young gamers enamoured with the characters may not even notice and as such will have what they consider a great game on their hands. As long as you like it, it doesn't matter what I think.

Categorically speaking, hardcore RPG fans are likely to get bored with the gameplay rather quickly. Casual and newbies will get the most bang for their buck with this game as it brings them into the RPG genre gently. Best played in small doses.

Some activities are highly entertaining; others are disappointing.

It's almost as though this game was made poorly on purpose so that the superiority of 360 would be felt like a kick to the head with a spiked boot. The message is that Xbox owners now have something to feel ashamed about - their crappy little Xbox.

The biggest disappointment concerning Scooby Doo! Night of 100 Frights, is that it doesn't look or play any differently on the Xbox than it did on the PS2 version which was released more than a year ago.

Overall, Five: Guardians of David is an entertaining Diablo-like.

City Life is a quality simulator that can easily absorb hours upon hours of your time if you let it. If you're a fan of city-building sims, there's no excuse for letting this one pass you by.

A deluxe version of the GBA title and not a heck of a lot more.

For someone who's mastered lots of puzzle games and wants a fresh challenge, Dropcast is the way to go. Casual gamers, on the other hand, will probably struggle.

A great arcade game. Even a blind man would be able to complete it in a couple of hours. For that reason, just rent it.

It's a great looking game with top-shelf cutscenes, voiceacting and writing. The gameplay itself is just slightly above average but it's plenty challenging enough for gamers of all levels.

Looks aren't everything, though. Black Rock Shooter gives players a clever blend of action and RPG. It's not really a shooter, and it's not turn-based. Black Rock Shooter: The Game takes elements from a variety of genres and puts them together in a unique and addictive way. The world hasn't seen a game quite like this before.

One could easily wring 30+ hours out of this game before getting bored with it. However, don't expect an experience like that of EA's Madden NFL 09; you'll be sorely disappointed.

The fun 8-bit plot scenes and gadget based levels offer kids plenty of fun gameplay, and the option of co-op play and collection quests make this an easy choice for older kids to really get into. However, the short gameplay time and repetitive vocal and graphical elements of the title make it a bit hard to recommend at a $50 price point.

FFXI is a very hard sell to anyone that is new to the franchise. The easiest word to describe it is drudgery, what with its excessive traveling times, difficult leveling structure, and level requirements for anything cool.

Once again, the solid controls and polished presentation make the game enjoyable, but I can't help but feel like I've done all this before, less than a year ago... oh, that's right! I did.

At this point though, the antics of the Outlaw crew are pretty tired and I'm hoping that Hypnotix will drop the shtick and take the plunge into making more credible gameplay experiences.

Overall, it offers a fun and rewarding experience, but unfortunately, it's not quite as entertaining and addictive as it could have been.

There's less than an hour of play time, and most of that is cutscenes. For longtime fans, however, there's a lot to like, and it's free.

The dialog and voiceovers are the best features of the game. The developers acknowledge this by offering, as an unlockable, a behind-the-scenes documentary of Mr. Campbell performing his voiceovers for the game.

A somwhat confusing game that doesn't live up to the inspired madness of the animated series; it does however manage to be a whole lot better than some of the games featuring female heroes.

Even with its familiar feel and lack of innovation, it was moderately fun to revisit the shadowy, blood-stained corridors, experience the nightmarish hallucinations, and be creeped out again by Alma. But in a season offering bar-raising FPS experiences like Call of Duty 4, it's difficult to justify sinking your valuable game time--and money--into an experience that'll provide more nostalgic de ja vu than fresh fun.

Jet is not a wolf in sheep's clothing, it's a sheep in sheep's clothing. It's just what you would expect and nothing more.

Everything looks and sounds just as good as the animated series that it's based on.

It captures the animated series to a tee and sports the love and care that all of us hope to see heaped on a port that originally appeared on another system (in this case, the PS2).

The Last Remnant has the makings of a great RPG: the story is engaging and the battle system is tons of fun to play with. And, with a lot of extra missions and side quests, there certainly is a lot of replay potential to this title. However, it seems that all these great aspects are not enough to pull it past its glaring graphical issues.

When you finally realize that most of your moves are going to be accessed by only two buttons with the occasional button-pushing mini games, it's likely to be game-over for most players.
