As beautiful as she is lethal, Aeon Flux is an agent whose abilities transcend everyday belief; she will depend upon those skills and talents to rid the city of Bregna from an evil tyranny. Paramount Pictures'/Lakeshore Entertainment's Aeon Flux is set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth's population except for one walled, protected city-state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. The story centers on Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), the top operative in the underground 'Monican' rebellion, led by The Handler (Frances McDormand). When Aeon is sent on a mission to kill a government leader, she uncovers a world of secrets. [Majesco] Expand

  1. A very cool game indeed. Stacked up against other movie-based games, it can hold its own with the best of them an it actually makes me more interested in the upcoming film (free ticket or not).
  2. 80
Fact is, it's good. If you dig the Aeon franchise, Charlize's long, lithe getaway sticks, or third-person action games, check it out.
  3. Combat is somewhat repetitive, though, and the game is more fun when she is jumping across chasms or rolling through tunnels.
  4. 70
While the game's aesthetics and design is spot on to the franchises distinct style, gameplay teeters between fluidly fast-pace action and insanely difficult and tedious game segments.

The game plays exactly like what it is: a quickie tie-in title that cashes in on the license. [Jan 2006, p.72]
  6. A surprisingly solid movie-licensed title--despite its somewhat odd use of a balled-up Charlize Theron.
  7. PSM2 Magazine UK

Everything you'd expect from an action movie license - brainless, flashy and without substance. Which would be OK if it wasn't so utterly rubbish too. [July 2006, p.92]

Well its a good game, and i like the way you get to do Acrobatic stunts through out the game and they never get old. But the story is kinda cheesy.

someone said it best "True to the schizophrenic continuality of the original TV series, Aeon's allegiance and identity in the game constantlysomeone said it best "True to the schizophrenic continuality of the original TV series, Aeon's allegiance and identity in the game constantly changes from level to level. In one level, Aeon may be protecting Chairman Goodchild, while in another level; she may be attempting to assassinate him. Additionally, the developer has taken painstaking steps to religiously recreate the world originally envisioned by Peter Chung. The game features all of Aeon's triple-jointed signature moves and Aeon's notorious FUG (Flex Universal Gun) complete with four varieties of ammo and the ability to ascend and descend via grapple function. While the game's aesthetics and design is spot on to the franchises distinct style, gameplay teeters between fluidly fast-pace action and insanely difficult and tedious game segments. Firstly, almost all of the back-story is told through collecting and viewing Intel Capsules. The process of accessing and reading screens of Intel Capsule text cancels out the engrossing aspects of gameplay and rips your attention away from identifying with the heroine. Moreover, many of the mini-puzzles peppered throughout the game are absurdly difficult. For instance, Aeon may be tasked to lower a shield barrier to enable her compatriots to escape the area. To lower the shield, Aeon has to guide her Orb device through an insane obstacle course to the shield access port in two different locations. By the time you actually access the first port your compatriots will have already been riddled with gun fire--repeat level, add nauseam. If you're a fan of Aeon Flux, this game will be an enjoyable romp; otherwise, you should pick this title up at your own risk."
all i'm going to say is why even call it aeon flux in the first place? when they're trying so hard to be not follow any of the source material and trying to be based it on the movie that btw had nothing to do with aeon flux as a whole. it's sad that this is the only aeon flux game that we're stuck with bcuz the ps1 version that actually followed the source material and anime closely was canceled.
