This is a well-polished ten-hour campaign, but it loses all of the things that made Guerrilla special in favor of a generic action experience. Also, there's no competitive multiplayer.

This "expansion" is definitely more of a twist on a theme rather then an entirely new game, but it contains all of the charm of the previous games. The cartoony graphics are sure to please and the low-level existence is a nice change of pace from all of the gang violence and car racing that permeates most video games these days.

A significant improvement over the first installment. The visuals, sounds, and gameplay are all well done. The controls are decent, but they may be too frustrating to many gamers. This is especially so for youngsters. That's unfortunate because the game's whimsical feel is best suited for children.

While it may not feel like an entirely new game in some respects, it does feel more refined this time around. Whether you played the original Crackdown the entire way through, or perhaps only purchased it to get into the Halo 3 beta, you really should check out this sequel.

The free content is extensive, and if you don't like it, you can always quit without spending a dime.

It's good for novices and those hardcores that might want to run through such a game in a couple of days.

The folks at Double Helix gave me the Silent Hill I wanted: a nerve-racking, scary as hell experience to hold me over this Halloween season. Any fan of Silent Hill should be checking this out, and anyone just needing a good scare can join in the Homecoming.

It's like the programmers are making this story up as they go. It's convoluted. Each game is about 20-hours long which is about half as long as a standard RPG. So far the 60 hours could have easily been edited to fit into one game and I have little doubt that the last game could be squeezed in as well.

The creatures are incredible. They look and move like distorted corpses that have been in tragic accidents or have undergone unspeakable experiments. They limp, writhe and undulate their way into our unconscious.

Untamed is one of the best offroad racing games on the Wii and is well worth playing, or at least trying if you haven't experienced this genre before.

Getting past the lame animation, Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy is a better wrestling game than most simply because it doesn't try to replicate real wrestling.

It plays more like a fighting game. If killing tons of on-screen characters is your style, then take a closer look at DW3.

Quick exhibition matches, both locally and online, as well as a few memorable minigames are enough for a quick fix. The odd career mode, however, is more frustrating than fun.

The varied game types, excellent maps, straightforward game mechanics, and fun setting mean you shouldn't hesitate in picking this one up.

Tales of Valor falls short in terms of the volume of new content most players will expect in a standalone expansion priced at $30. What's there is great, but it's just not enough.

Though very short, it will keep you well amused through the full game.

These little pleasures make it relatively painless to play this game for extended periods of time, and even make it worth putting up with the repetitive and sometimes annoying music. It takes about eight hours to win on the medium ("Tricky") difficulty setting, not counting the side missions and the plenty of quirks you can unearth.

An insanely enjoyable game that more than makes up for its lack of polish with its devilish charm. It's worth every penny of the twenty-dollar asking price.

Global Agenda isn't an excellent game, but there is a lot of co-op and competitive fun to be had. In fact, the overwhelming vibe from current players is quite upbeat. Still, there's not enough content included with its purchase to keep you playing for months on end; you'll have to pony up the monthly fee for the Conquest mode to get any lasting appeal.

You're either going to love it or not. With the right people online, there isn't anything on XBL that plays quite like it and you're sure to have a blast with likeminded players. Those who are content with "G.R.A.W." and prefer that style of gameplay most likely won't get the appeal of The Outfit.

As fully featured as any console game, and every aspect feels like it was given the proper care. Liberation is part of a beloved series, and it can be proud standing beside any other of your Assassin's Creed favorites. If you've been looking for a reason to pick up a PS Vita, this is probably it.

The time manipulation gimmick makes TimeShift an enjoyable if forgettable experience.

Pacing issues and juvenile sexuality will turn off many players to an otherwise solid game.

There's not that much gameplay here. It can be frustrating and unresponsive at times which may cause kids to give up on this game.

Other than laughter and the occasional satisfaction of seeing a crazy plan come together, Just Cause 4 doesn’t illicit much of an emotional response. It’s ugly, monotone, and almost feels incomplete. Even some of the character animations look lazy, as though the characters themselves are saving their energy for something. The game isn’t without its charm, certainly, but that charm doesn’t amount to much when it is marred by a plethora of other issues. Just Cause 4 approaches its potential, but doesn’t quite seize it. Considering how well the game performs at its peak, that is a real shame.

Despite the entertaining level design and dialogue, each "episode" is completely linear, and there isn't any real replay value.

The game could have benefited in taking just a bit more from the structure of older games in the series.

In an effort to appeal to a wide range of gamers the gameplay is less than difficult. It's a lot less than difficult but it's not so much challenging as it is meant to be entertaining. Do I have to bring up the phrase "interactive movie" again?

It's slightly tweaked and certainly a good game but so were the previous ones. Unless this is your first Madden football game then don't bother.

The gameplay is very focused and the controls are tight so there will be no added frustration to the game other than the challenges it offers.

It's a shame that the controls weren't tighter and the level design weren't more varied, because this one could have been a classic. As it stands now, it's a title easily worth picking up for shooter fans tired of being stuck with R-Type.

I don't care what your friend tells you, trust me, that awkward, cumbersome, electronic behemoth may look impressive but it will be collecting dust in a few short weeks. It's like having to pilot the space shuttle to make a cup of coffee.

Ratchet & Clank aren't far off from being the quintessential co-op duo. They just need a few of the wrinkles ironed out.

For my money I want a completely overhauled game and not something that feels nuked. Don't give me some cheesy unlockables and a few new modes and call it a new game. This isn't a new game.

Space Marine doesn't break any rules or push any boundaries, but Warhammer fans across the globe might finally have the non-RTS Warhammer game that we've been waiting for.

I would definitely recommend this title to those who haven't had any experience with the series, as it is a great standalone title. But for those with a passion for x-cross who have already experienced MX vs. ATV, this title may not be as unique of an experience as they might want.

If you're the type of person who loves to play mini-games, particularly enjoyed the first Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, or are a casual gamer who's looking for a fun, albeit easy and short-lived title, then you should definitely consider picking up a copy of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

I wouldn't say I plan to play this game a lot after my first and in-depth gaming session, but it's one I'll keep in mind when I have some free time and feel like diving into some puzzling action.

There aren't a lot of major changes to the original formula. At its core, it's essentially the same game only a bit better.

This is the real thing, or at least as close to the real thing as you're going to get unless you purchase the original arcade games in their cabinet.

The reason that people love horses is because they're interactive animals. This sim has all the interaction of accounting software.

The SNES port looks great, it really comes to life on the GBA but the NES levels are embarrassing. This Frankenstein piece-together must have been getting the bum's rush out of the lab and into the stores in time for the Christmas cash grab.

The developers are taking the license seriously and have produced a game that feels more like an episode of the series than the typical cash-grab game with popular characters thrown on it.

Easily the easiest game of the series, Tenchu: Return From Darkness may look better and have a few new features but it's a somewhat dumbed-down version of last year's "Wrath of Heaven" (PS2).

The story is what keeps you wanting to move forward while playing an adventure and Trace Memory had me hooked, even when I was madly frustrated at it for being too persnickity about certain solutions. It's the perfect game to play on the train, bus or trolley on the way too and from school or work and due to the pacing of the story, your eyes won't go buggy trying to keep an eye on the action.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Thrillville: Off the Rails. Sure it's a family-oriented game, but it was so fun that its kid-friendly nature did not hinder it in the slightest from being fun for gamers of all ages.

With the VGS system, the demerits and the odds, you are forced into a style of racing that is neither sim nor arcade. It's a hybrid that is more challenging than fun, though some might want the word "challenging" changed to "frustrating."

Solid execution of motion controls makes this a delight to play. Your only objection will come from your own exhaustion of wizardry.

FlatOut has all the makings of a great budget games, except that it's not great and that it's not budget priced.

Although Let's Tap has some really great ideas, my main problem with this title is that there just isn't enough to it. Unfortunately, with just four games and a visualizer, the game feels more like a tech or gameplay demo rather than a full-fledged game.

Unfortunately, though, the majority of Kenka Bancho's experience hinges on a combat system that feels incredibly sluggish, clunky, and outdated.

There's not much to it, and you'll probably only enjoy this title for an hour or two. Still, for a currently free download (or even for 200 points), it's a great value and a lot of fun at parties.

A good game. I think most people will be bored by it, but RPG lovers will get a kick out of it.

Whether you're young or old, the LEGO characters and cute vibe will likely appeal to your sensibilities. All in all, LEGO Rock Band is a quality game that will get the whole family jamming together, but if you own one of the other systems, I would suggest getting a version other than Wii's.

Brink is a worthy buy for anyone who doesn't absolutely hate multiplayer FPS action. It blurs the line between single-player and multiplayer styles, introduces an effective new movement system, and finds ways of discouraging all the obnoxious behavior common in most multiplayer shooters. The campaign is long, and the different classes allow you to play each mission over and over without getting bored.

The game's odd, dark storyline will keep you pushing onward to the conclusion. The patients' experiences are creepy and compelling, particularly since you're only given bits and pieces of the equation at a time.

The effort put into the depth of control of this game is very apparent. Each of the four modes of racing controls in subtly different ways, and racing aficionados will definitely be able to tell the difference.

It's not big on frills but it is loaded with modes, including online play.

It would make a good intro for gamers looking to get into RTS games but it's not the best of the bunch when it comes to shooting and action.

If you like action-oriented puzzles in the vein of "Monkey Ball" and "Marble Madness" you might consider adding it to your collection.

My biggest problem with the game was adjusting to the controls of this version... The controls are set-up remarkably well for the few buttons on the system. The problem is they did not include a sensitivity adjustment option.

It has become a generic version of itself through its re-birth. It's not worth more than a rental.

Hacking your way through hell is quite enjoyable, and fortunately, making your way through all nine circles of it provides the game with a decent length.

With the three different ways to play Hot Shots Tennis, including single player challenge mode, the co-op versus mode, and a training mode for those of us that need that extra little bit, the game brings the fun to the PS2.

With over two hundred premade puzzles, a puzzle editor, and the ability to download and share puzzles over Wi-Fi, there is a ton of puzzling goodness to be had in Rabbids Go Home.

You will come back to Dustforce, be it to master a level or just savor the experience.

Full Auto is a lot of fun, but it's more style than substance especially if you have no plans of taking it online.

If you can stand the controls, 2K makes a decent outing, though hockey fans should definitely spend their time and money on EA’s simulation for a superior hockey experience.

NASCAR Kart Racing is a solid kart racing game, but its biggest flaw is just that there's so little to make it stand out. It's so amazingly similar to Mario Kart Wii, and the latter is a better, more memorable game in every way possible.

Warriors Orochi is certainly not a bad game; it's just a stale game. It's a gameplay formula that we have seen before on an engine that is incredibly outdated.

The gameplay gets a bit repetitive, but there are incentives for exploring every nook and cranny of the game.

Thankfully, the inclusion of master tracks and a slick menu interface means that this title sounds and plays exactly how it ought to.

While "The Sims" can get deep, The Urbz: Sims in the City is a very light version of the original. This game is designed for girls that haven't yet grown out of the Barbie phase. The Urbz is the shallowest version of The Sims yet.

Even though this game is better than the third one the series didn't live up to my expectations.

The play modes are all-new, and the team concept is certainly an interesting addition to the gameplay. Not to mention the absolutely unique dichotomy between the Hero mode and the promotion test mode.

Bee Movie is a good weekend rental for the younglings, but not something veteran gamers are going to be too thrilled about.

One very big frustration I have with this game is the music selection. To each his own, but when I play a baseball game I expect to hear the music associated with live baseball games - hip-hop, hard rock, and Latin music. For some reason, this soundtrack is filled with horrendous artsy indie rock.

If you're someone who likes strategy and appreciates the Sengoku period of Japanese history, you should love this game.

The campaign is fairly enjoyable if you can manage to cope with the iffy controls, peppered with a good amount of stealth, tactics, and even rail-shooting segments.

Need for Speed: Nitro isn't the best racer on the DS. It's not even the best goofy racer on the DS, an honor that will probably always belong to the console's iteration of Mario Kart. It is, however, a lot of fun to play.

Excitebike: World Rally isn't a revolution for the series; heck, it isn't even an evolution, really. However, over 20 years later, the gameplay holds up incredibly well and fits the WiiWare platform like a glove. The lack of local multiplayer is truly a drag, and for the price, the unlockables don't do much to strengthen the value. That being said, Excitebike has a lot of personality, and it's certainly a game worthy of a new lease on life.

By breaking all the assumptions that normally come with a movie-based license (such as using the film's actors and pushing to do a simultaneous game-film release) High Moon Studios has crafted a solid action game.

A must have title for Wii-owning skate fans, but casual gamers beware!

The basic gameplay in this entry just seems uninspired, especially its main campaign.

The adventures are a great addition to the main game, even if they don't add a ton of substance to the mix.

Just be forewarned—it took less than twenty minutes as a casual player to build up a sweat, so make sure you plan your wardrobe and company accordingly.

A boring Breakout/Arkanoid rip-off in a long line of boring Breakout/Arkanoid rip-offs.

The variety of modes, the insane amount of unlockables and the sheer element of fun makes Grand Adventure a game not to be missed.

It’s quickly becoming my favorite first-person shooter of the year, thanks to its impressive landscape, captivating storyline and fully customizable characters. The short list of negatives pale in comparison its highlights. All and all, Ghost Recon: Wildlands delivers and should easily be a contender for 2017’s best first-person shooter, if not best game. It’s magnificent, unique, and certainly worth your time.

This game promotes the use of imagination by having players create buildings and craft new objects, but it doesn't go much further than that. Online multiplayer capabilities are nice, as long as other people you know have the game too.

I'll be blunt: if you loved the original Thief series, you won't enjoy this game.

The FPS gameplay is a little on the mediocre side and the game is rife with flaws including a really bad slowdown glitch that permeates both the single-player and online modes.

Its dedication to the nuances of sniping is interesting, but that's unfortunately all it has going for it. Unfortunately, a game that only does sniping well really feels like only half of a game. In fact, it feels like the designers spent more time designing the gruesome kill cam than the non-sniping portions of the game.

Luminous Arc may not be the next great title for the DS or SRPGs as a whole, but it is definitely entertaining enough to keep even the hardest of hardcore players enjoying it. Much like the whole game, the online play is equally simple and entertaining.

All around there's just too much repetition in this game. It's fun for half-an-hour tops and that's it.

The execution of the magic spells and the top notch presentation makes this game a definite buy for Harry Potter fans and for those gamers looking for a simply fun title to pop into their lonely PSP.

You won't be disappointed with the hack 'n slash goodness the game provides - even if you've done it all before.
