  1. Despite the insanely difficult and nearly impossible Challenge mode and the sometimes-unfair violent behavior on the part of the A.I.-controlled racers, a good visual presentation, great trick system and tough races make ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 a good addition to the Xbox racing library.

Biggest letdown: the lack of open worlds to roam and trick around in. [Mar 2003, p.51]
  3. Game Informer

It has a good sense of speed and physics, and the tracks accentuate these qualities quite well. [Apr 2003, p.93]

If you own multiple consoles - although the game is solid across all three platforms - the Xbox game takes the prize, with eight competitors to the GC and PS2's six, along with a four-player mode compared to the other consoles' two. [Mar 2003, p.64]
  5. An enjoyable yet unoriginal game.
  6. Official Xbox Magazine

The game behind the skimpy clothes fails to impress... The play balance is simply no fun. [Mar 2003, p.78]
  7. The novelty of kicking your friends from their bike in the heat of a race won't last forever, so once that aspect of the fun wears off so does any urge to hunker down to a night of ATV Quad Power Racing 2.
