DLC offers a wide spectrum of additions (e.g. new weapons) but unfortunately fails to eliminate flaws of the original game and I slumped into boredom because of its repetitiveness. [01/2018, p.47]- CD-Action

It carries you over to a drab, sad place and tells a story that doesn’t make sense. Maybe it would be best – both for Ubisoft and players – to just forget about Unity? [03/2014, p.72]- CD-Action

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong perfectly reflects the atmosphere of a tabletop RPG session set in the World of Darkness. Sadly, graphics and animations sometimes spoil the impression, certain gameplay mechanics are hard to master and I couldn’t complete some quests because of the bugs. It’s a shame, because the writers and the voice actors did a commendable job.- CD-Action

If you remember the original Shadow Man, the remastered version might be a cool sentimental journey into the past. New players however will probably be discouraged by both the graphics and the terribly aged gameplay. [06/2021, p.53]- CD-Action

I see a parallel between Lords of the Fallen and Dark Souls II: there’s something amiss here and there, but the game is trying its best. Everybody knows there are better, more polished titles in this genre, but what LotF lacks in terms of gameplay or technical execution, it makes up for with interesting ideas, solid boss battles or the unique atmosphere of Umbral, the realm of the dead. I recommend giving it a chance, because in most part it is a decent game.- CD-Action

Half of the game is wonderful, the other half is frustrating, as Yooka-Laylee stumbles in some key aspects. The character feels floaty which makes controlling him a bit tricky. Some portions of the world seem designed for a different genre and break the flow that is absolutely crucial to platformers. And then there’s annoying camera. The first Banjo-Kazooie, which is almost 20 years old, is actually more polished than Yooka-Laylee. [06/2017, p.63]- CD-Action

A terrific idea – Evoland lets us gradually unlock milestones in evolution of RPG games and see how they influence the experience. Unfortunately about halfway through this charming game turns into a torture chamber, because it wasn’t thought out well enough in terms of gameplay. [CD-Action 06/2013, p.79]- CD-Action

The gameplay is still great, but Amplitude’s content is scarce and electronic soundtrack (half of which was composed in-house) is simply boring. [03/2016, p.61]- CD-Action

A light, short and pretty Far Cry clone with robots. It seems to me the developers implemented all their basic ideas and then ran out of money, willingness or skills to push the game a bit more, towards true uniqueness. [06/2017, p.68]- CD-Action

To be honest I do not understand why people are delighted with Dropsy. It’s an average representative of the old school of point’n’clicks and its story did not blow me away either. [12/2015, p.56]- CD-Action

Cat Café Manager is a casual tycoon where you run and expand, well, a cat café, which means keeping both the cats and the customers happy. The gameplay is simple and repetitive, but nonetheless engaging, however the developers should have refined aspects related to economy and staff management.- CD-Action

I really hope that Rocksteady can still teach an old bat new tricks, because WB Games Montreal failed to advance the series. What we have here are old gameplay mechanics – which still work fine by the way – sold to us for the third time and supplemented with a bit of fresh ideas that don’t have a sufficient impact on the whole game (and sometimes are simply bad). The grand finale turned out to be not that grand. In fact, it’s the weakest game of the whole trilogy and definitely not a worthy sequel to the great second episode. [09/2015, p.52]- CD-Action

The first Project CARS game designed not only for hardcore simulation fans, but also for more casual racing enthusiasts, was supposed to be love at first sight. Well, it wasn’t. It does boast one of the most enjoyable driving models you can come across nowadays, but it’s not enough. The rest of the game (including the single-player campaign that should have been named Project Grind) falls short of what the best racing games on the market offer. [11/2020, p.52]- CD-Action

Triskell Interactive tries to answer what would happen if Anno’s developers decided to go steampunk and do the next installment of their series in hand drawn 2D. The first impression of Lethis is good but the game unveils everything it has to offer too quickly and lacks variety. Still it’s a pretty successful debut that definitely stands out among other indie games. [09/2015, p.54]- CD-Action

In comparison to Guitar Hero Live the new Rock Band game is way too conservative. There’s a certain tradition in the music business: when a performer grows a beer belly and can’t climb to the top of the charts anymore, you send him to tour Japan, so he can grab some more money from a bit more loyal local fans. After seeing Rock Band’s current shape all I can say to it is “sayonara”. [12/2015, p.63]- CD-Action

EA Sports wants to please everyone, which is why FC 26 is caught between two game modes representing opposite extremes. It's good that the developers are trying, but unfortunately, the results of their work are rather disappointing at this point.- CD-Action

I felt disappointed with Elex II, because while in some respects it is better than its predecessor, other elements are a step back. Gameplay balance, combat, graphics, and interface have improved a bit, but some obvious design flaws are still there and the storyline is just weak, especially the severely underwhelming ending. However, if you love Piranha Bytes’ games, you'll probably have fun either way. I did.- CD-Action

The remaster skillfully combines different versions of Powerslave and captures the style and atmosphere of first-person shooters from the 90s. For me, the game itself is not that great though. If you’re looking for a retro shooter, be aware that the action kinda takes a back seat in Powerslave, while you’re forced to complete platforming sequences, collect tons of necessary items and backtrack.- CD-Action

Not only Codemasters finally managed to release the game in the first half of the F1 season, and not when it ends, but the game itself has such a good driving model and is so fluent that it blows previous console editions out of the water. On the other hand, unfortunately, F1 2015’s content is very modest, with lack of a career mode being the biggest letdown. [09/2015, p.62]- CD-Action
