As an attempt to create an old school game Might & Magic Heroes VI did not sweep me off my feet. It tries to bring back the old days and sometimes it does succeed but I couldn't shake off the feeling that I'm spending too much time with it and getting not enough fun in return. A simple but challenging platformer made for speedrunners and masochists. For anyone else it could be a novelty – too frustrating to spare more than a little time for. [03/2019, p.72]

I liked Evolve. It devoured 20 hours of my life without my even realizing (unfortunately due to matchmaking issues I spent a substantial part of that time looking at loading screens during attempts to connect to a sensible match). I will never love it though, even if I acknowledge Turtle Rock’s courage in blazing trails, their mastery in AI programming and artistic taste. [04/2015, p.42]

A simple venture into the world of medieval economy. Ultimately – a very hollow but also unbelieveably hypnotizing experience which put me into a ‘machine gameplay mode’. Who knows, maybe that was its actual message? [03/2019, p.73]

The audiovisual beauty, the diversity of the gameplay and the dynamism of the combat system make Neva a worthy representative of the artistic platformer genre, but it lacks the visionary element known from Gris.

Despite the narrative touching heavy subjects of death and its meaning, She Remembered Caterpillars is an extremely relaxing game with simple mechanics that even a kid can fathom. [05/2017, p.65]

Off-Road Drive is enjoyable thanks to its physics engine and high quality graphics provided by Unreal Engine. Unfortunately the career is short and the game was unable to find any multiplayer servers. [November 2011, p.59]

The first story DLC for the truly great RPG is simply okay. Wasteland fans will enjoy the new adventure, although it isn’t long (6-7 hours) and offers almost nothing you haven’t already seen in the base game. Be aware that you can’t play this DLC after completing the original story – you either need a save you made before “the point of no return”, or you have to start over and reach at least level 9. What a nonsense! [08/2021, p.46]

This cute Zelda-like 2D action adventure is a remake of Monster World IV, a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis game from 1994. I enjoyed this rad but surprisingly short (6 hours tops!) walk down the memory lane with beautiful re-recorded music. The only things that bothered me were overly old-school boss battles and some minor performance issues. [08/2021, p.47]

Ironically Lost Planet 3 lacks what the developer has in its name – a spark. It’s a solid but generic shooter that you will forget quickly. [CD-Action 10/2013, p.48]

The temperature of the gameplay dropped – not only thanks to the new winter map. The technical side of the game has always been its Achilles’ heel and the standard PS4 version reminds of it quite brutally. [03/2019, p.81]

PES 2012 fails to shift the balance – even if it's the best Pro Evolution Soccer to date it's still far behind the FIFA series. What PES desperately needs is a deep change. [November 2011, p.62]

There’s no passion in this game, no risk, no surprises. It’s a product developed by skilled specialists, not by visionaries. It offers decent fun but does not leave a mark. [CD-Action 10/2013, p.52]

If we pretend that Battle Arena is not a part of The Witcher franchise and is not spreading its universe too thin, it’s a good mobile MOBA, very simplified though (one basic mode, two small maps, nine characters). [03/2014, p.65]

Hell Is Us is a game difficult to ignore, even though it is far from perfect. It certainly excels as puzzle adventure game and leaves the player with a lot to think about, not shying away from provocative statements about the nature of war.

The biggest weakness of Monaco is the simplicity of its gameplay – it’s a trivial, almost mobile game. I recommend playing it in a 4 players co-op mode, where the low difficulty level and simple rules are not so bothersome. [CD-Action 07/2013, p.78]
