It’s more a Mutant Year Zero’s cosplay of XCOM than a truly original game but it still offers somewhere between 10-20 hours of enticing tactical gameplay. [04/2020, p.62]

It’s not the worst RPG in the world, but it’s far from the best. The numerous bugs and cut content are a real letdown, but fans of the series will still find something to enjoy here.

While I admire the technology that lets you mix two or more completely different tracks together to at least a decent effect, I must warn you that the gameplay is shallow and you’ll quickly get bored unless you’re a DJ at heart. [01/2021, p.80]

The Fall of Avalon starts promisingly, but the contender for the title of Polish Skyrim exposes itself to an underdeveloped second half of the game. Still, it's worth giving it a chance.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is still very enjoyable, but mainly because the base game was great, as this stand-alone expansion does next to nothing to evolve the formula. If you’re okay with getting more of the same, you should not be disappointed, especially that the port is solid and looks fantastic on a powerful PC.

A game that’s very friendly in terms of visuals, yet very complex when it comes to gameplay mechanics. There’s a lot of information you need to memorize to be efficient, which makes you more of an accountant than a god. [CD-Action 08/2013, p.80]

After crazy Shadow Warrior 3 and toned down Trek to Yomi the Warsaw-based Flying Wild Hog studio offers a new IP that combines Wild West, horror and steampunk. It’s an explosive concoction with a surprisingly complex combat system, but if slaying monsters is not enough for you and you expect a wider range of experiences, Evil West is not a game for you.

In terms of gameplay mechanics UFC is a complex game that will keep fans satisfied for months. It’s a shame that the dev team lacked someone who would use a flying knee to launch the animators and guys responsible for physics into the next-gen era. [08/2014, p.58]

There are two problems with Tearaway. The game is too easy and poses no challenge whatsoever and is not as pretty as one would expect (the technical aspect is fine, but the colours lack intensity). Anyway – Tearaway is worth checking out but it’s not a must-have. [01/2014, p.69]

It targets a narrow group of gamers but does it expertly and engages them for hours, and even those who don’t know squat about off-road will be impressed by the visuals and physics provided by the game’s engine. [08/2014, p.59]

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ main feature is its wacky humor – you’ll either love it or find it cringy and annoying. I enjoyed the game mainly because I liked the way it makes fun of RPG clichés, but when I was not laughing, the excitement was gone instantly. It’s still a solid shooter but I’m already tired of the Borderlands gameplay formula and this spin-off does too little to shake things up, even though its setting offered a huge potential to do so.

Inspired by traditional point’n’click games, Kentucky Route Zero steers clear of puzzles, picking up objects and using everything on everything else. Instead it offers a distinct mood comparable to Alan Wake. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.75]

Playing The Ezio Collection is a bit like visiting a museum, especially if you look at the characters and their animations. However, these old games still have a lot of charm, and the ability to travel with Ezio to Italy or Constantinople whenever and wherever you desire is great to have.

Dead Island 2 does not pretend to be anything more than just a video game, even for a moment. Its every element, from the bland story to the environments, serves the purpose of making smashing zombie heads fun. The problem is, after a couple of hours this fun starts to give way to repetitiveness.
