It’s a good remaster, but frankly I find it unnecessary. Those who have already played the game on PS2 or PS3 will find nothing new here, and those who didn’t have the chance to get acquainted with it probably will not understand what we saw in Shadow of the Colossus 12 years ago, when gaming reality was completely different. A colourful, humorous cross between 2D platformers and MOBA games. In single player mode it can get boring pretty fast but is addictive in multiplayer. [July 2012, p.72]

The main difference between the remake and the original game is that the latter was outstanding for its time, while the Definitive Edition is “merely” good. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s not worth your time. What’s crucial here is the fact that Hangar 13 approached the original’s narrative with proper respect and refrained from changing it too much. Mafia: Definitive Edition might not be remarkable as an open-world action game, but it still has the story worthy of the most revered gangster movies. [12/2020, p.28]

Serious Sam 3 convinced me that somewhere along the way FPS genre lost something but on the other hand the game's old school vibe might become tiring if you overdose it. [January 2012, p.54]

Serious Sam remained true to its legacy and therefore is charmingly archaic – which is not a flaw in this case. It’s easy to point out that side missions are uninspired and fail to provide the diversity they were supposed to introduce, or question the quality of graphics and optimization, but it’s not really that important when burying enemies under piles of bullets is so much fun. Just like World of Tanks Blitz, World of Warships Blitz is a compact version of the game we know. As such it’s an experience both very familiar and surprisingly fresh. [03/2018, p.70]

If you're a fan of 'A Song of Fire and Ice' (or HBO's series), get this game, as it tells a great new story set in Westeros and co-created by Martin. [August 2012, p.74]

Doesn’t tire with repetitiveness and doesn’t irritate with illogical consequences of our choices. It’s fun in small doses, but on a PC monitor – if we give it our full attention – it gets wearisome after fifteen minutes. [13/2018, p.63]

Penile jokes aside, Genital Jousting is based on an interesting idea and offers an exceptionally original single player campaign and a fun multiplayer component (that does however get stale after a while). [03/2018, p.72]

I felt Northgard’s unintuitive rules of territorial expansion needlessly limit my options but once I got used to them I had fun. Look for this game on Steam sales. [05/2018, p.75]

Unravel blossoms in co-op, which additionally alleviates one of game’s problems – again interactive elements in the environment are often hard to spot (especially under pressure), so second pair of eyes helps. Other than co-op it’s more of the same (sometimes I even wondered if I saw a particular level before), but still I enjoyed it more than the original game, even if the first Unravel’s visuals were more impressive when it came out. At first I was charmed, but Song of the Deep failed to rise to my initial expectations, because apart from an unusual setting and delightful fairy tale atmosphere it lacks something that would make it memorable. [10/2016, p.50]

I can only recommend this collection to people who intend to play it with a young Potter fan. Otherwise Lego Star Wars or Lego Hobbit will be a better choice, because these games are simply better. [13/2016, p.49]

The best Move game I came across. I was surprised with how much fun I had remembering the light gun arcade machines I used to play as a kid. The game also supports the Dualshock but don't bother with it, 'cause if you remove the motion controller from the equation, you're left with something old, ugly, short and rather pointless. Way of the Hunter is an engaging hunting game. You’ll skulk around the bushes, experience some breathtaking views and unfortunately step not only in animal feces but also in a couple of bugs and simplifications. It’s obviously not a game for everyone, but it’s plenty satisfying and might devour a lot of your free time.

In terms of gameplay RCR is rather simple, but it's a wonderful voyage to the land of classic games – all main missions are inspired by at least one oldie and there are plenty of references to both retro gaming and popular culture of the 1980s. [CD-Action 13/2012, p.72]
