The developers clearly had ambitions to create an interesting game, but something was lacking. Skills? Money? Time? For a series that lets you experience how time-consuming agriculture can be, Farming Simulator 23: Nintendo Switch Edition works surprisingly well in short sessions. However, I can’t recommend it unconditionally in good conscience, because to enjoy it, you need to turn a blind eye to the questionable technical state it was released in. Redfall’s design is disappointingly safe and the whole thing is painfully unpolished. It’s a patchwork that draws inspiration from multiple games, but does it ineptly. Many of Redfall’s elements feel unfinished, ill-considered or deliberately pushed aside as if acknowledged as unnecessary by the developers. The game will not surprise you in any way, but there’s a good chance it will annoy you with generic quests, laughable AI, repetitive gameplay and botched optimization. I definitely did not expect something like this from the studio that gave us Dishonored.

The racing itself is good enough, but the not-so-abundant content and the terrible technical state of the game effectively hinder the fun. I really would be able to wait longer to get something better, and at this point I can only wish myself and you that the studio improves the condition of Solar Crown.

Genesis doesn't work for the people who had no idea about 'A Song of Ice and Fire' before the HBO TV series came out. But if you consider yourself a master strategist and miss Good Old Times – buy it. [December 2011, p.94]

One of those heavily scripted games that make you go from point A to point B through corridors built of visible and invisible walls. Even taking a bath in a creek kills you, and there are two weapons available. [13/2013, p.70]

Dark Alliance is a disappointingly run-of-the-mill action RPG whose most distinctive features are bugs and connection issues. Solid combat and levelling systems are not enough to outweigh repetitive, boring environments and the lack of decent endgame content. [09/2021, p.44]

Repetitive environments and enemies, lack of satisfying character development and very limited selection of gear – after a while Krater gets monotonous. [August 2012, p.73]

Nightmares turn to reality. People start dying. Mainly of boredom. Sluggish story is Alpha Polaris' biggest drawback – you can fall asleep in front of the screen before things start to get interesting. Some ideas (like the possibility of solving some puzzles with a couple different objects) deserve acknowledgement but it's not enough when everything else is lame. [August 2011, p.57]

It’s roughly the first Sniper with all its shortcomings, including strong linearity, repetitiveness, shallow story and inept multiplayer. [CD-Action 05/2013, p.52]
