Scorn is a special experience for anybody looking to have their expectations subverted for what a good horror game can be. It is a gory, surreal, provocative dive into difficult or even taboo topics, and is wonderfully crafted, and near perfectly optimized. The game’s themes and visuals are challenging and extremely mature, but executed with great subtlety. The game is a technical marvel and concise as any horror game should be, so as to not overstay its welcome.

By most accounts Persona 5 didn't do much wrong. While most games that achieve the critical success of P5 would rest at that job well done, Atlus has continued to further refine their masterpiece into something even better. Persona 5 Royal is proof that even the best games can be made better by acknowledging shortcomings and addressing them, however small they are.

The collection as a whole might not bring much to the table beyond the games it transfers to a newer console in better shape than before, but when the games are this good that is enough.

With a haunting soundtrack, great sound effects, a great visual style that stands out from the crowd, excellent commanding gameplay, and the plethora of options that you'll be able to take to achieve victory, you'll find yourself excited to try to take command of the Spice, even if you end suffering a crushing loss. Overall, Ripout is a decent experience for its price, but only if you're on board with everything it's trying to accomplish. [Early Access Provisional Score = 60]

Overwatch 2 is a great game, but it is held back by its own identity crisis, lack of content, and questionable choices. Despite its blemishes, Overwatch 2 is a must-try experience, especially if you are playing with a dedicated squad of friends. Whether you click with it right away, grow to love it, or try it and bounce off, the core gameplay of Overwatch 2 is undeniably fun regardless of its external flaws.

Galactic Glitch surprised me by providing many hours of fun in a genre that I'm usually not interested in. Its elegant design, addictive gameplay, and unique mechanics make it stand out, even though the meta-progression and balance in later levels could use some fine-tuning. Coming from someone who does not usually go for roguelike and roguelite games, I was hooked within the first 15 minutes and had a blast throwing rocks at my enemies. Although Palworld can provide an enjoyable experience for a while, it's a hard sell. It feels like halves of two different games that, when put together, don't seem to make a whole. [Early Access Provisional Score = 50]
