It's a shame that besides all the new improvements made in the game and multiplayer that feel like something totally new, due to a boring campaign and empty characters, this Call of Duty is a step back in the narrative and far from perfection.

Sifu is a fantastic indie game that makes you feel like a Kung Fu master. Sloclap has created an experience that lovers of beat'em ups cannot miss.

One of the greatest portable RPGs is back. The bonuses and extras of Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology are pretty good, making a must have to everyone that love this genre.

If you didn't try this game a few months ago, I think it would be the right time to do so, especially because of the portable theme that makes it a relaxing experience to take on trips and distract yourself for a while.

Final Fantasy XV is a really impressive game with a simple, yet deep story and gameplay, great attention to details, a rich cast of characters and an immense and gorgeous world map; it simple looks outstanding in every way. Ironically, its enormous world map and excessive amount of things affects it in many bad ways, some of them that even end up damaging its graphics, bugging or even braking your sessions. Albeit it is great, its own filse-size and dimension ended up messing with it.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is the best game in the entire series. The level design is spectacular, the challenge we remember so much is still present, the optional content seems endless. One of the best platformers of the year.

A fantastic comeback of one of the most beloved PS1 games. Beenox did a fantastic job remaking this classic racing game.

Okami is one of those games that will always be a delight to play from start to finish everytime it comes up. Even though the only strength this version has with respect to its previous counterparts is its increased resolution. It still offers an incredible story with fantastic gameplay mechanics and gorgeous visuals that are worth to experience. Fans who loved the original game would be amazed to replay it once again and newcomers will understand the reasons why this is considered one of the bests games in Capcom's library.

Dreams is a dream for all creative people out there. It has no limits. Media Molecule has achieved something really special here.

Monster Hunter Rise is the perfect introduction to the series. One of the best games on the Nintendo Switch and a solid candidate for the best of the year.

Even those who have own the first version need to add this fantastic title to their Switch library.

The Last of Us Part I is a great remake. It's not a job like Final Fantasy VII Remake or Resident Evil 2, and that's fine. It is a different experience. For everyone who loved the original game, returning to this adventure, especially with the sequel in mind, is a very worthwhile feeling, while everyone who plans to experience Joel and Ellie's journey for the first time through this version, you will have in your hands the definitive version of the best Naughty Dog game.

Prey is a highly sophisticated game with respect to its gameplay, level design and narrative. Although its graphical and artificial intelligence problems are easy to notice, we've had a great sci-fi experience.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a very deep experience full of great ideas. The way that Tokyo was build, combine perfectly with it's ghost story, open world and combat system.

As a midpoint in the Year of the Ninja, the Spanish studio delivers a great experience that all Ninja Gaiden fans should experience, and I imagine more than one person will have Ragebound in mind when it comes time to choose this year's best games.

Tribute Games has delivered a top-notch experience. While it has a few minor flaws, its strengths are undeniable, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion stands out as an experience that no Marvel or beat 'em up fan can afford to miss. This adventure clearly showcases the talent of this team and the place Earth's Mightiest Heroes hold in the industry.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles is a great package. Not only do we have a high-quality remaster, but the original PlayStation game is also included. If you've never had the chance to experience this classic of the genre, this is the perfect way to play one of the best Final Fantasy games. For veterans, this is the grand return to Ivalice you've been waiting for, and hopefully, this won't be the last we see of this region.

This adaptation is the correct way to approach turn-based tactics games, given that its rules are the most intuitive for the user, it can be perfectly enjoyed in these times. If you never gave the portable console remake a chance in your life, it's time to move on to the version that can now be considered the definitive one.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is the product of great ambition and a desire to transcend in the current video games industry. This is perhaps the biggest and the most complex title in the Wii U catalog. Even though it has a share of technical flaws, it manages to offer an experience like no one has ever seen.

Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door for Switch is practically the same classic that appeared 20 years ago on Gamecube, without alterations that feel great in terms of gameplay. However, that is not bad at all, in fact the phrase “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” applies very well here, as the magic that many of us experienced in our youth is preserved.

Rocket League is a pure videogame defined by an excellent mixture of its mechanics. It's extremely fun, addictive, one of the best competitive experiences of this year on PS4.

The gameplay is addictive and offers us enough space to experiment. It may be the simplest and simplest Warriors of the entire genre, but it is accessible and will be liked by many people. Nintendo and Koei Tecmo have managed to create a great game to say goodbye to 2020.

Yakuza 0 is, simply put, the best game of the series and one of the best examples of how a franchise should evolve through the years. Firewatch manages to keep you on the edge of the seat from the beginning to the end, even when you're performing mundane tasks as a ranger. It is thanks to the amazing and intriguing conversations with beautiful landscapes that this game gets the player on the hook.

This could easily be the best Leve-5 game so far. The dynamic rock-paper-scissors battle system will keep you definitely entertained for more than fifty hours.

Shin Megami Tensei V is one of the best RPGs of the year. A memorable installment, and a good introduction to the series. Without a doubt, spectacular.

Tango Gameworks has done it once again. Hi-Fi Rush a fantastic experience that combines hack and slash with rhythm games spectacularly.

The almost perfect evolution of this beloved franchise. Monster Hunter: World is everything we wanted in a Monster Hunter game.

Spelunky 2 is the perfect evolution of the first game. One of the most fun experiences of this year.

What I am sure of is that Electronic Arts is finally delivering a worthy product that meets not only what fans of this franchise are waiting for, but what every consumer anticipates when paying for a AAA game in 2019.

In the end, if you consider yourself a fan of the franchise and also of the world of fighting games, you should definitely get yourself a copy, whether physical or digital. It's a hit of nostalgia for those who enjoyed the releases of the past, and even more so for users who haven't put them down in all this time. Seriously, it's worth seeing the Z fighters fight once again.

Final Fantasy XVI is a fantastic game from start to finish, which manages to combine the classic structure of the series with a combat system focused on action and customization. The Rising Tide is the perfect complement to this experience, and although this marks the end of this chapter in the history of one of my favorite video game series, I can't wait to see how Square Enix takes everything that worked here and expands these concepts in Final Fantasy XVII, or in a sequel to Clive and Joshua's adventure.

Unravel is not only an eye candy, it fulfills its objectives as a good videogame with interesting platforming challenges based on the unraveled character and its yarn. With an outstanding presentation, beautiful landscapes, sensitive story and reflexive ambients, it's a pleasure that many people should enjoy.

Steamworld Heist is a package full of brightness: addictive gameplay, superb presentation, hours of strategic action, fun characters and a complete space adventure. Without a doubt this is one of the best digital games on Nintendo 3DS for beginners or experimented gamers.

With subtle adjustments to basic elements like its controls and an enormous attention to details on its presentation, NBA 2K17 remains as one of the best sports video games out there today.

Meanwhile, if you didn't get to play the first one, but this kind of RPG is more your thing, I also recommend it. I swear you'll become a fan.

If you're a fan of the Bayonetta franchise, you're definitely going to enjoy it for being a breath of fresh air in terms of gameplay and exploring the origins of our favorite witch a bit more. On the other hand, if you have never read the series, I also recommend it, since spoilers regarding other games are kept as simple references.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is the game that every third-party should aspire to create for the Nintendo Switch: its fun, inspiring, and just seems to push the hardware to its limits. Ubisoft did a great job capturing Mario's world and gives us a very entertaining experience.

Wipeout Omega Collection is an excellent remaster, the best way to play the most recent games of the franchise. It offers us great graphics, terrific soundtrack and a gameplay that remind us why Wipeout is the king of futuristic racing games and deserve to continue with more entries to the series in the near future.

Like any good expansion, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is responsible for improving practically all the sections of the base game, ensuring many more hours of fun. A purchase that no hunter should avoid.

If you are a fan of the first video game, you definitely have to try it, because as I already said, it expands the experience in terms of mechanics and also with a much larger map. On the other hand, if you are new here, you better tread with caution, unless you are already used to similar games that are placed in the RPG genre.

More than innovating, Splatoon 3 is in charge of polishing each of its elements to offer one of the most enjoyable experiences of the year.

Alan Wake II is the sequel we were waiting for. Unfortunately, it took thirteen years to find out what happened next in this story. The technological advancement is impressive, the graphics, the music, and the sound are stunning, and it couldn't have been released in a better season.

It's nice to see that Square Enix gives a decent treatment to its remastered games. This is not just a washed up version of the same game we saw last year. The development team got their hands dirty and reworked many of the flaws that the press saw on PlayStation 3.

Sublime, creative, fun, challenging. Axiom Verge is truly a must buy for fans of classic games and contemporary challenges. The game combines elements that remind us emblematic classic master pieces and original elements like creative game mechanics and a captivating atmosphere.

I appreciated every aspect of SOMA from the beginning until the very end. Even if it reminds us of Dead Space by having a companion or Bioshock for the underwater elements, it manages to transcend by its own merits, thanks to the high quality of the level design, the credible world with atmospheric horrors and the various decisions we take to make the experience ours and ours only.

One of the most impressive applications on gaming of VR. ASTRO BOT is a must have to all the owners of a PSVR.

Bravely Default II is a great way to get into RPGs. A combat system and a spectacular soundtrack accompany a story that no fan of the genre should miss.

Shovel Knight is a true contemporary classic game with an excellent level design, sublime art direction, memorable soundtrack and addictive gameplay. It’s a wonderful tribute to a golden age of platform games and an indie that will be remembered for many years.

XCOM 2 expands all the great gameplay mechanics that we enjoyed in past games of the series. All kinds of emotions await you in this great tactical game about making hard decisions.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is a great experience. HexaDrive has delivered a remake that all fans of the genre and the series can enjoy. Some changes make the experience more enjoyable, with better pacing and a more direct structure. However, it's also true that some of these decisions remove some identity from the original Dragon Quest VII. Interestingly, those entering this world for the first time might not even notice.

After the Silent Hill 2 remake, everyone was worried about whether Bloober Team had what it took to shine with a completely original property. Cronos: The New Dawn makes it clear that the Polish studio is capable of this and more. This is one of the best experiences of the year, and something that, I hope, will lead to a flagship franchise for this team. With this result, it's clear that Bloober Team is positioning itself as one of the representative faces of video game development, not only in Poland, but in Europe.

One more time, the new game on the NBA 2K series becomes the best sports game of the year. NBA 2K16 is a complete package with tons of contents that will make happy all NBA fans and it has positive changes on its gameplay that makes it more intelligent, challenging and maybe the best basketball game so far.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is one of the most entertaining racing games of the year and a love letter to fans of this franchise. Without a doubt, an unmissable entry.

The gameplay is phenomenal and is able to captivate the player from the first moment. While naval combat is not something that stands out, the tactical turn-based RPG combat in a 2D environment is very well implemented. The job system offers a great level of customization that allows each player to approach the various challenges in the way that they like best, and each robot has the necessary skills to always be part of your main team. I can't wait to see what's next for Thunderful and SteamWorld, but if the developers continue with this high level of quality, then I'm sure that this team will continue to be one of the best in the indie scene.

A great new version for an awesome Zelda entry. Skyward Sword looks great in HD and 60fps, but it lacks extra content.

I never thought that level creation would be more fun that playing, but most of the time I have had with Super Mario Maker was precisely creating. I believe that when you start creating the results will be mind blowing.

A deep combat system, great use of the DualSense in its version for PS5, complex narrative full of great moments and memorable characters, art direction that enchants and music that falls in love, are just some of the great virtues that one can find in it. Scarlet Nexus universe. Of course there are marked defects and everything, but it is undoubted that his successes far outweigh his mistakes. This new team at Bandai Namco Studios has earned significant respect, which I hope they can build on very soon with a sequel. Needless to say, if you are a fan of action games with RPG elements, this new proposal is one that you cannot miss.

Gravity Rush has an original concept and excellent presentation. Bluepoint gave us the PS4 edition that the Keiichiro Toyama’s game deserves with beautiful and smooth graphics combined with all the good elements of the PS Vita title.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is an interesting action game that, aside from its enjoyable gameplay and great combat mechanics, offers an interesting premise that could easily delude your perceptions. Simply put, it is a game that defies any expectations that gamers can have of it.

XCOM 2 expands all the great gameplay mechanics that we enjoyed in past games of the series. All kinds of emotions await you in this great tactical game about making hard decisions. No major problems with the console version, a few framerate issues and maybe longer loading times but nothing that really hurts the core experience.

Being the first JRPG developed exclusively for Switch, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a fantastic game that shows us what the console is capable of. It offers a refined formula from what we saw in previous games and merges it with a fantastic and deep story, majestic and immense worlds and a fabulous soundtrack. Albeit it has some graphical issues that show the limits of the system and how it suffers to maintain an optimal performance, the title is surely one of the greatest games that you can play on Switch and one that will keep you hooked for more than a hundred hours.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is one of the best games in the series and a perfect choice to launch the new generation.

Undertale does perfectly what few other games have achieved: it offers solid and fun game mechanics, it displays a deep narrative both in large scale and in day by day stories, and it delivers a consistent and coherent universe. None of these elements would make sense separately, and together they make one of the most extraordinary video games in the recent years.

BioShock: The Collection is a great homage to one of the most important video game franchises of all time. This collection presents us a ultimate versions of the three games, each one with graphics looking like they were released in the last few months.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a great sequel to one of the best videogames based on the Tolkien's Universe.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the most ambitious and robust of the series, with new dimensions that refresh the franchise. Endless and challenging for experts, and at the same time accessible for beginners.

Iki Island is a great expansion of an awesome game. The improvements of the Director's Cut totally worth the cost.

Riders Republic is an extremely fun game that will definitely please the fans of this sports. And even as a casual gamer, this title offers plenty of accessibility options that make it a very welcoming experience for newcomers.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a fantastic adventure, one which does an incredible job of mixing platforming elements, fun and energetic combat, a rewarding exploration system and beautiful graphics. It's not only of the best games of 2021, it's one of the best games in recent years.

Despite its technical issues, Control is an impressive adventure that marks the return of one of the most beloved Studios. Great game.

Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void concludes the story arc of this saga in an epic way. Great campaign missions with memorable story moments, the addition of two new co-op game modes and interesting new multiplayer units, makes this third installment a must have to every RTS fan.

Milestone has once again demonstrated its mastery of the genre. While the public's attention may be elsewhere at the moment, this experience shouldn't be overlooked. Screamer has become one of my favorite games of the year, and something that will surely be fondly remembered in the future.

The Rogue Prince of Persia is one of the bests roguelikes out there. Evil Empire lived to the expectations after the huge success of something like Dead Cells.

Defenders expands and improves an experience that was excellent since it was launched. The fans of the game will be satisfied with its contents and the new gameplay features that make Resogun one of the best PS4 exclusives and a must buy among the contemporary shooters.
