Missile Cards is a fun and interesting hybrid game that I’ve been looking forward to for a while. As a fan of pixelated aesthetics, the graphics bring a sense of nostalgia for me, and the chiptunes are wonderful. Controls are easy, since all you do is tap and drag cards around into their proper slots, and the gameplay mechanic is challenging, fun, and rather addictive once you get the hang of things. The missions that you must complete give you a goal to strive for, as well as high score chasing. If you like mashup games, then Missile Cards is definitely one to have in your collection.

A win for pocket casual gaming. It is fun to play, easy to figure out and cute to boot. Fans of puzzle games will enjoy the various challenges. The replay value is low because it isn't difficult to collect all three stars on every level. However, the price is reasonable and it is worth the download for the casual gamer.

The game is gorgeous to look at, the music is fun, and there are a ton of customization options available for you to create your ultimate battle bot. I just wish that there was a way for you to control your bot in battle, but this auto battle mechanic does mean it’s easier to play this game in short bursts throughout the day, at the very least. Plus, it’s just fun to see what you can come up with when it comes to the parts that you manage to get a hold of. I do find the timers for boxes to be a tad frustrating, but the gems that you need to unlock them faster are not too hard to get, but of course you can buy them through in-app purchases if you’re impatient (this is a free game, after all). I recommend giving CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars a try if you’re looking for a fun, pint-size arcade battle bot game.

As a fan of RPGs in general, I am liking Evoland 2 so far. I believe I had the original game, but didn't get around to playing it for whatever reason (this happens more often than not). The cheeky humor and references bring a smile to my face, and I love how the world transitions to different graphical styles. The soundtrack reminds me of older RPGs that I used to play too, so the nostalgia is nice. I just hope the controls get better in due time. It may just take some practice to get used to.

Despite the flaws, I'm seriously having a great time with Battlejack. I'm a big Blackjack and RPG fan, so this is a mashup that I fell in love with immediately. I'm enjoying the fun art style, and the game mechanics are easy enough for anyone to understand. The difficulty does pick up once you hit the third area, but that just adds to the challenge. I wish that the game menus weren't so cluttered, though, and I'm not the biggest fan about the timers, but I'm willing to put up with it for now.

The visuals are beautiful, quirky music and sound effects make the game even more fun, the gameplay itself is challenging, and the controls are responsive. However, since the game is a free download, it does make use of an annoying energy system (batteries) and sometimes the levels seem so difficult at first that it feels like the game is pushing you to get some in-app purchases to help you out.

I've never played any .IO games before, but AXE.IO is a pretty fun one, I must admit. While I'm still fairly early on in Lichtspeer (it's pretty hard, alright), I'm enjoying it a lot and find it hard to put down once you get the hang of things. I've died plenty of times now, but if you pay attention to the attack patterns of the waves, you'll notice when and who you should strike first. It takes some time and practice, but it gets easier once you recognize the sequences. Plus the graphics are beautiful, the music and sound is quirky and delightful, and the controls feel natural. Overall, Morphite is an excellent game that is worth a download for any iOS gamer. The graphics are stunning, the music is delightful, and the game world is immersive. Controls do take some time to get used to, but can definitely be streamlined in a future update. At least there is support for physical MFi controllers, which always end up being the better option for a FPS game like this anyway. Umiro is a gorgeous game with an amazing soundtrack, and it was all crafted with care by the developers. The puzzles are challenging, but once you solve one you've been stuck on, then it just becomes even more satisfying. The music is also catchy and pleasant, and I’m not that big of a jazz fan to begin with. While I still prefer physical buttons for my fighting games, I think Skullgirls did well with the touch screen controls, because they’re not too bad and everything is responsive. The story is interesting and I like that there are multiple game modes so you can always find something entertaining if you need a break from a particular mode.
