    An adventure game that's accessible to those who haven't dared to play adventure games before. It's easy enough to pick up and learn, and the story will keep you wanting more. It's also a lengthy game, so you will have plenty of time to get involved in the characters and the world of Edna and Harvey.

    Edna & Harvey: The Breakout is very much a traditional point and click adventure. The puzzles are sometimes bizarre and infuriating, but the story keeps you playing on, with much owing to its original tale.

    Balance in Adventure games is a difficult thing to get right and Edna and Harvey manages this for part of the game but falls flat just as it gets going. But it's worth persevering and solving these tricky puzzles to find out just where the game will take you next, which is where Edna and Harvey scores points.

    In the end what matters most is how fun, and stimulating a game is. Sadly Edna & Harvey demands a bit too much tapping about on everything, as the puzzles are a bit too illogical at times.

    If you are a fan of puzzle games, specifically these type of trapped room games, you will likely get quite a bit of enjoyment out of Edna and Harvey. Just make sure you go into it with a patient attitude and a desire to explore every aspect of the game, because that is definitely what is asked of players. This is not a game for those of you who are easily frustrated.

    The unfortunate fact is that Edna & Harvey's best achievements (a deep script, engaging characters and unrivaled interactivity) end up buried beneath a frustrating adventure game, one that's fashioned from over-worked puzzling and meandering dialogue that fails to make a clean separation between depth of story and rewarding gaming.
