Jul 11, 2012It won't take long to complete Captain Antarctica at only an hour or two, but it's an enjoyable ride while it lasts. The cute stylization of everything particularly lends itself to family gaming but anyone with a love of endless running but a craving for level progression will enjoy this pleasant journey.
-
Jul 8, 2012I should also mention the graphics, which look great. The characters are well designed and the levels are all sufficiently varied to keep gameplay interesting.
-
Jul 6, 2012Captain Antarctica is an up-beat casual title that plays with common 'endless' concepts and gives it a level-based treatment instead; while not as addictive, you'll come back for more just to hear it's catchy tune again.
-
Jul 9, 2012Featuring spot-on tilt controls, a great cartoonish presentation, and a variety of items to purchase and upgrade along the way, Captain Antarctica's main drawback is its length.
-
Jul 9, 2012Captain Antarctica is not the most original game, but it presents the content in a way that makes it feel fresh. With specific start and stop points in place, it makes it easier to pick up and play for brief periods.
-
Jul 31, 2012With there seeming to be no end to the endless runner genre on iOS, it's nice to see a high quality one released every once in a while. Captain Antarctica is in no way perfect, but it's fun while it lasts, and has plenty of features to keep you hooked for a while.
-
Jul 12, 2012All the while, we can't help but think that penguins deserve better than this, and that poor Captain Antarctica's family deserves a better fate than this.
