Oct 9, 2012This game is loads of fun and offers plenty of stunts to try out over and over again.
-
Oct 5, 2012Stunt Star: The Hollywood Years is a lot of fun. I definitely enjoyed playing it and found myself repeating levels I had already cleared just to see if I could get a better score. The variety of vehicles, add-ons and number of levels help make this great game a lasting experience.
-
Oct 15, 2012A difficult game to evaluate. Its challenging gameplay and numerous options in terms of power-ups and vehicles doesn't make it a particularly approachable game. Yet it's those exact features that make it a delight for fans of trial-and-error score-chasers. In that regard, assuming you know what you're getting into, Stunt Star is well worth a recommendation.
-
Oct 15, 2012Also a good thing is that screeching to a halt just before the last flag to successfully complete a stunt – especially one of the trickier ones – is actually quite satisfying. It's pretty much all you could ask for in a game like this which probably has hundreds of relatives in the AppStore. Go then, strap on your helmet, rev your engine, and try not to fall into a canyon. Katie Cowpusher wouldn't be happy with that.
-
Oct 26, 2012Funny and challenging, Stunt Star: The Hollywood Years will prove a worthy download for fans of the physics-based genre, but the intense difficulty of the later levels limits its appeal.
-
Oct 15, 2012Featuring cartoony graphics, simple controls, and increasingly crazier tricks to perform, Stunt Star is an engaging challenge in precision and pizzazz.
-
Oct 5, 2012Overall, Stunt Star: The Hollywood Years isn't bad, but it can get a little bit tedious as you constantly try to get things just right for an ungrateful director who you'll want to curbstomp more than Michael Bay by the time you're through playing. Nailing the perfect landing may be a little more satisfying than toppling the pigs' fort in Angry Birds, but getting there can wind up a bit more tedious.
