Snyder has righted the wrongs and made an epic movie with much more emotion and story telling. The four hours flew by and I'm already watching a second time, one hour per night and I don't anticipate it being the last time I watch it. Well done ZS

Zack Snyder's Justice League, the original vision that Zack had about the movie, and What a Vision it is! It has a lot more character development than Joss Whedon's Justice League (or Josstice League if you prefer that) Cyborg feels like anZack Snyder's Justice League, the original vision that Zack had about the movie, and What a Vision it is! It has a lot more character development than Joss Whedon's Justice League (or Josstice League if you prefer that) Cyborg feels like an Important character his back story is explored more. It' easier to connect to him. His relationship with father makes a lot more sense and generally he feels a lot more like "HE IS IN THE MOVIE".
Flash feels has a lot more importance. He is not Just saving a Russian Family . Steppenwolf looks badass villain as He Should have From the get go. He has a back Story. He is not just Evil. You have an idea of why he is doing what he is doing, Darkseid is there and I personally think he doesn't look good... but he is there.( Thanos didn't look good from the get go with) And thing that I love about this movie is how the significance of Superman is portrayed and because of that his resurrection make a lot more sense. Superman doesn't fell overpowered and the Justice League feels like a team. The humour has been pumped down ehich makes sense as the movie is dark Flash is the only one making jokes and it doesn't feel 'tagged on', It's just a better movie in every aspect. Yes, It is 4 hours long but it feels a lot shorter than that. It's also good to see Movie Studios giving freedom to the Creators and caring about what fans Think, I think It's a must watch. I know that this is not MCU, but it really doesn't have to be something similar! And the Zack Snyder's Justice League finally showed what an amazing and deep Universe DCEU is. The whole 4 hours kept me hyped and wanting to know what's next. I do remember the 2017 Justice League, but it seemed to me like two EXTREMELY DIFFERENT movies. I watched it as if I've never seen the 2017 JL before. And it's great! I finally understood lots of plots that were put into the story, I finally saw my favorite characters at their best. And I've finally got this satisfying feeling that JL got on the same level as Avengers. Anyhow, so many characters and surprising moments, so many plots and explanations...and so many epic scenes that it really made me wish for more! Amazing work, Zack! I wish we had this movie instead of the original one back in 2017. And Thank You!… Expand

This film is not perfect, but honestly, it is my favorite in the DCEU. The extra exposition and character focus, without the creep factor that was added by Whedon meant a very enjoyable film I have seen 4 times now, and I still enjoy it. Yes, 4 hours can be hard to sit through, but if you can do it, it's beyond worth it.

Spoiler Alert from here on out:
Nearly every character is way better than in the theatrical version. Wonder Woman is not sexualized or forced to be grounded, instead reflecting the Amazonian goddess that she is. Lois Lane went from having an uncomfortable discussion with Martha Kent about Clark to genuinely being depressed due to his death. Aquaman isn't used for cheap laughs, Flash is much funnier (and doesn't need to land on Wonder Woman for cheap laughs). Superman actually has time to regain his memory after being revived, and undeniably the biggest change was Ray Fisher's Cyborg. He is and will always be the live action Cyborg to enjoy. He has a story, his technological enhancements from the Mother Box are explained.… Expand

So, SO much better than the 2017´s Frankenstein! It maintains the DC spirit at its core, beautiful atmosphere (dark and dusty), strong characters and an understandable and coherent story. Four hours fully enjoyable for all DC fans.

This film is truly a masterclass in filmmaking. While some parts in Snyder's true vision are little more than fluff that would have needed to be cut for a true theatrical release, the remaining film is epic in scale. Snyder's style doesn't work for everyone, but he knows how to treat characters with the mythical reverence they deserve.

If nothing else, this film's release is more a testament to the journey it took to get here. While fans of Snyder's version of DC Comics may not see much of his universe again, they can rest well seeing a complete story, a culmination of growth from Man of Steel to BvS to Justice League.

I love this movie. So much better than the previous version. I love it so much I want to see the next Justice League. And I don't if it's another 4 hours long as long as it's this good.

It's like the first time watching it again but with 10 times more great stuff and more balance story, Zack Snyder's Justice League was simply one of the most epic comic book movie i've ever watch, and while it fills with more great stuff andIt's like the first time watching it again but with 10 times more great stuff and more balance story, Zack Snyder's Justice League was simply one of the most epic comic book movie i've ever watch, and while it fills with more great stuff and as much as i wanted to give the movie a perfect score, i can't deny the slowness and the lengthy feeling that i get in the first hour in a half, it's not bad and there is still an interesting new stuff in it, but the rest of two in a half hour i was completely in, Zack Snyder's Justice League was clearly a problem fixing that they have in the Joss Whedon version, and i actually one of the people who really like the Joss Whedon version, and after i watch the Snyder's cut, i did much prefer the Snyder's cut, and the way i see the Whedon cut now is as just another completely different movie, it's just a small lighter portion of this whole big complete story with also some changes that are less better compare to the Snyder's cut, it's a 4 hours epic that i thoroughly enjoy and engaged which is rare for a movie this long, an exciting movie with more exciting and impressive stuff, incredible performance, massive changes in a good way, it's a Cinema category comic book movie just like Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, overall Zack Snyder's Justice League was a Masterpiece (at least mostly).… Expand

Granted. there are still failings, but it was without a doubt a popcorn movie you can watch and enjoy. The heroes act more like their super-hero comic origins, painful dialogue that was wedged in was removed (though there's still bits that do not work) and two of the main characters are now able to be cared about. Cyborg is amazing now that he essentially has an origin story that humanizes him. Flash is no longer just a simpering, clumsy, awkward coward that has no real value. I will certainly watch it again and if they ever release a physical 4k edition, I'll buy it.… Expand

The ending sets up some interesting ways forward that I'm sorry I'll probably never be able to see, and that's a shame because this movie, for all its four hours plus running time, is finally the movie it was supposed to be, and I will never watch the original Whedon version again. This one has forever taken its place as the true sequel to Batman V Superman.… Expand

I'll keep this short (unlike the movie) this version of Justice League still isn't perfect but it is FAR better than the theatrical cowboy level regurgitated vomit we got. If you have 4hrs to spare, this is well worth the watch. The one biggest criticism I'd have of the film is that all the heros are made to look pathetically weak and they MUST HAVE Superman to win which does a significant injustice to the great job all the other actors do for the characters they play. It would be nice to see DCWB dial back the power level of Superman there's nothing great or suspensful in a film about a character that pretty much has limitless power and is invulnerable to basically everything expect for one super rare element. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I can't believe it, but it's finally here. The Snyder Cut.

First things first, it is drastically different from the 2017 theatrical release, and is mostly better, too. For a whopping 4 hours of runtime, the pacing keeps up well, and time flies by fast. While the Whedon/WB version looked like a clumsy awkward mess, the Snyder Cut is a well-structured, coherent, and a truly epic spectacle. While most characters used to lack backstory or motivation, now every Justice League member has a plotline and some character development (maybe less so Wonder Woman). The Flash, while still a comic relief, is much less annoying, and is equally more powerful, showcasing some really impressive abilities. The added Knightmare scene is just flawless, Batman and Joker's tense dialogue is gripping and leaves you wanting for a Batfleck movie along with a JL sequel. Junkie XL's score is also miles ahead of Danny Elfman's self-copying forgettable garbage heard in JL 2017.

Now for the critical part. In my opinion, ZSJL retains three problems from the theatrical cut.
First, the Batman is watered down, and is not the same character we saw back in Batman v Superman. While the original Batfleck was angry, focused and visceral, this one lack self-confidence (Absolutely pathetic scene where he touches hands with Diana), his signature readiness for anything (He doesn't have a plan in the tunnel?), fighting skills (In BvS he engaged a good dozen of thugs. Now he does painfully slow roundhouses, and gets his butt kicked by a random parademon), and overall credibility (His whole suicidal aspect and the obsession to do right by Superman is not enough for my suspension of disbelief to handle). The fact that Affleck, a sorry drunk at the time, looks to be in much worse shape than in BvS, also doesn't help sell his character.
Second, the villain, Steppenwolf, is underwhelming. While more menacing and better-designed than his PS2-videogame-looking original counterpart, he is still overshadowed by Darkseid, and is nothing but a filler bad guy.
Third, Superman is overpowered compared to the rest of the League. The idea of the five of them being incapable of winning over some insignificant villain, while Superman can fly in, not even flinch after a strong hit with Steppenwolf's axe, and just own him in a couple of minutes really undermines the worth of the team.
Oh, and the bonus one - the idea that a bunch of women armed with spears and swords are seriously trying to defend an important artefact from alien invaders, and that they haven't improved their arms and technology in the last 5,000 years in the least bit, is still laughable.

There are some new downsides, too. The movie sports quite a bit of flab that could be cut down entirely, like a lot of scenes with Lois, some long exposition shots, or the Martian Manhunter scenes. He doesn't play any role in the plot whatsoever, is only thrown in there as a fanservice teaser, and even ruins a scene where Martha Kent consoles Lois, as knowing that it was actually him is kind of weird and off-putting.
There are also scenes that overdo it with violence and killing, like WW butchering a few terrorists in front of the captive children's eyes, and one of them asking if she could be like her when she grows up. I don't mind superheroes killing, but this was a bit of a stretch.

A lengthy review of a lengthy movie. Despite the flaws, I still enjoyed Zack Snyder's Justice League immensely, and more so than its predecessor. Its release is a fascinating and uplifting precedent, and I congratulate both the director and the fans on this victory. The question is what happens next? #RestoreTheSnyderVerse… Expand

The pros: The story, character development and equal screen-time to all the heroes. Cyborg is also more present, and Ray Parker is wonderful in the role. Steppenwolf's master plan is also far superior and thoug this film will potentially not have a sequel, it is open ended enough to make fans excited.

The cons: The runtime could have been trimmed by 20 minutes or so, as there are far too many slow scenes involving a folk song (I really don't need to see Lois get a slo-mo Starbucks order). The 4:3 aspect ratio at times can be strange at time as it was designed for IMAX, but as most people will be watching from home TVs the square viewing is a bit jarring. Overall a much better film (that unfortunately probably would have met with as much criticism if not for the original). The chapter of this movie literally act like a big comic book arc issues which is contained development character, preparation, individual moment, and a war againts big evil dude. Safely to say that the story is much better than the theatrical cut especially in related to the Cyborg and Steppenwolf. The Final battle is much more majestic: Batman actually doing something this time around , Superman being badass (man he surely slain Steppenwolf), and we also get a glimpse of the Flash trademark Speedforce. Well, eventough the story is a big triumph, but it's not without it's flaws. There's a noticeable CGI Mess especially when Henry Cavill hold Lois Lane dead body during Cyborg's vision and I think there's a couple of scenes that should have been better, ex: It's more effective if the scene stop when Martha Kent had her eyes glow red for the sake of epilogue tease rather than being fully revealed as Martian Manhunter from the beginning it's kinda odd that if he exist then what is the satisfying explanation to give about Martian Manhunter absence during the fight againts Steppenwolf?

This movie felt ambitious from the start and it display a lot of Snyder's slow wo trademark, some people may not like the style and the length, but it's enough to satisfy a comic book enthusiast like me. And Yes, we want more.… Expand

My wife and I both rolled our eyes a few times at scenes that were being dragged out for far to long with music that was like nails on a chalkboard. The only other drawback obviously was the 4 hour run time. Had they done things like marvel did, fleshing out the universe before a big movie like this, it wouldn't have needed to be 4 hrs long. In short, the story was better fleshed out and made more sense. Character writing was done much better. Action scenes were added and improved upon. This movie is worth a watch, especially if you are a fan and/or were disappointed by the original justice league movie.… Expand

It's satisfying to see the movie get a proper treatment. It's definitely better than the theatrical version. And, I believe, that's the biggest plus point it needed. It happens to be my most favorite Zack Snyder film to date. What it does is that it gives every single character an arc so that we're invested in them. And that's the main thing that made the theatrical version so stupid (not the whacky scenes). .

Whedon tried to make "DC Avengers" without realizing that Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg have never been introduced. Avengers worked because it was backed up by five different movies for the lead characters. This had to give a proper introduction to those three characters and it did. And THAT is what saves the movie.
.
There are also scenes that were genuinely funny and also scenes which made certain characters shine. And I almost forgot to mention, every good scene from the theatrical version was by Snyder. And just like in BvS and MoS, there were scenes which felt like a comic book page that feels absolutely stupid in a movie, and some illogically blant sequences. The only difference is that, here, they were entertaining enough for not holding the experience down. .
.
The basic plot is still the same. The villain is still generic. And even though I liked it on the whole, I definitely feel it would've been better if it was done AFTER introducing all the necessary characters in their separate movies. It is just too long for a movie where stakes don't feel so high. Honestly, I am more interested in the sequels they teased in this movie. Darkseid doesn't have any role in the movie. He was equivalent to Thanos in GotG. And to be honest, I want to see the sequels it teased (which I don't think will ever be made) more than watching this again. Those little scenes felt bigger than the whole movie. And you cannot compare this with Infinity War or Endgame because it doesn't have higher stakes and it's just a first team up movie; it's just long. The sequels it teased, however, look like they'll be worthy for the said comparison. .

On the whole, if you have time and if you have ever loved a superhero film, you can watch it. It won't be a waste of time. If you expect this to be an absolutely perfect masterpiece, it's not. .

Not only does this film contain the exceptional cinematography that we've come to expect from Snyder, but everything is wonderfully fleshed out in a slow burn that builds andIs the runtime comically long? Not only does this film contain the exceptional cinematography that we've come to expect from Snyder, but everything is wonderfully fleshed out in a slow burn that builds and rises to an incredible crescendo by the final act. Everything is superbly executed here, from the consistent tone, the well-placed humor, the action (obviously), the performances, the character arcs and how everything weaves artfully together in the story. I only wish the runtime was more reasonable, so that it'd be easier for me to squeeze in second, third, and fourth viewings in the next couple of weeks. Yes, it was just that good. I couldn't be happier for Snyder that he was able to finally craft and present his vision, and I'm grateful that I was able to see it. Now, let's get this released in theaters!… Expand

It defied my lowered expectations. I have a rating already but when I saw that Flash scene at the end, +1. It's better. It got a lighter tone and it should be. I hope Warner Brothers give Zach Snyder the chance to complete his trilogy.

The backstory of each character is so well fleshed out. As Snyder himself said - “All the arcs are there and completed.” Music selections are excellent. Joss Whedon butchered a masterful movie, I'm so glad we got to see the restored vision. Considering all the masterfully filmed deleted scenes, it looks like the overrated Whedon rolled dice in the cutting room. Tremendous contextual background was omitted from each character. Superman's death cry at the start sent chills down my spine. From then on actions move in rapid succession. The bank heist with Wonder Woman restored my faith in the fighting prowess, courage and sacrifice of the character, after the drivel of Ww84. The massacre of the amazons had really disturbed me before but this version was far harsher, brutal and savage. Newfound respect for the courage and spirit of the warrior women. Steppenwolf had been ridiculed in the previous abomination, here you can appreciate the true horrific majesty of this Uber demon. The first age battle was impressive but Darkseid himself was a disappointment. All the more reason to rue the vanishing of the old alliance. The moral quandary of cheating death and restoring superman was sufficiently explored. These are significant ethical concerns. Flash definitely stole the spotlight with smooth fast moves at all the right times, pun intended. We also finally see Batman at his combat prime as he takes on a legion of parademons alone, much like the gameplay we enjoyed in the Arkham series. The background of Aquaman is explored further, laying groundwork for his own movie later. And Cyborg’s arc was most poignant, given the personal loss and tragedy he suffered, and his integral relationship with the mother boxes. In the overall picture yes the movie did drag at 4 hours, but I was satisfied - very much like an endless 10 course meal - you have to finish to get the full experience, palate and variety the chef intended. It’s a shame a new controversy has erupted - to continue the Snyderverse or not. Even his detractors must admit - Snyder delivered a fully realized vision.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. After four years, Zack Snyder's original vision for the Justice League finally arrives and it does not disappoint. Despite its overly long runtime, the Snyder cut feels like a more cohesive film compared to the original cut. It takes the time to provide the much-needed back story on characters we are unfamiliar with. It completely overhauled the original plot all while utilizing a majority of the scenes from the original cut and raising the stakes by introducing an even stronger villain. The original plot for Steppenwolf to find the Mother Boxes still exists but a second subplot was created to entice Darkseid to make an appearance and put Earth on his radar, and this was the discovery of the anti-life equation. This new information helped to deepen the plot and add another layer to the simple race around the world to find the three Mother Boxes. Steppenwolf seemed to have the most drastic changes in the film in both appearance and motivation. This version of Steppenwolf is not only more menacing but has an added level of conviction because he is now portrayed as damaged and seeking redemption for his past failures.

After already being introduced to Batman & Wonder Woman, The original cut had a lot of ground to cover as it introduced us to three new heroes, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash. Cyborg's story is integral to the overall plot as he and his father are directly connected to the human Mother Box, but the original cut just did not have the time to focus on his character growth, the same could be said about Aquaman and The Flash. A ton of new scenes are added to examine the backstory and shine a light on the development of both Cyborg and The Flash and allow us to connect with them on a deeper level. The Aquaman movie coming out in 2018, one year after the original Justice League cut, allows the Snyder cut to cheat a bit because we learned a lot about Aquaman in his two-hour movie, which I felt helped a great deal to the character development, much like all of the solo character movies before the Avengers.

The Snyder cut will go down as the biggest director's cut in history. Examining both films, side by side is truly beautiful and it shows how important editing is to a film. The third act produces a more engaging and emotionally impactful film compared to the original, even though it is made up of a majority of the same scenes, and this highlights the importance that editing has on the film.

Although I understand and appreciate the need to focus and develop characters, the lengthy runtime makes it a difficult film to watch often. The film would have benefitted greatly from a longer thought-out development process, which the MCU seemed to master. The only other negative takeaway I have is towards Zack Snyders's overuse of slow-mo sequences. Normally this wouldn't be an issue if used effectively, but there was an overabundance of it in the film, and after the halfway point, I became very aware of these sequences, and they became increasingly annoying. This is just nitpicking because the film is exceptionally well made and has an ending that is worth the 4 hour run time… Expand

I take the League of Justice for perhaps the worst superhero movie. It wasn't bad, but let's say it's above average and overall bad compared to others. So when I heard that an extended version was to be made, I was quite excited, because thatI take the League of Justice for perhaps the worst superhero movie. It wasn't bad, but let's say it's above average and overall bad compared to others. So when I heard that an extended version was to be made, I was quite excited, because that was more or less the main problem of the film, because it simply seemed unfinished and as if something was missing. But here it all fit. After all, the film has 4 hours. I haven't seen a longer movie. But I can assure you that the 4 hours are worth it and it is not an unnecessary stretch of the film. On the contrary, the film uses time and will show you everything it should. The characters have more simplicity this time, so we can form a relationship with them. Such a Victor was, in my opinion, absolutely uninteresting in the original version. But this is no longer the case here, and thanks to his story original, I was able to create a bond with the character during the film. But Wonder Woman also underwent a change, or at least it came to me. I'm not sure, but it occurred to me that she had new music in the action scenes that definitely suited her. Batman and Aquaman are quite the same, but it doesn't matter at all, because they already have their film, so we only know about them so that we can be interested in the character. Negative luxury and more or less goes for sure. I won't lie that it's quite similar to the Avengers, specifically the Infinity War. Instead of stones, dice are collected here and instead of Thanos there is Steppenwolf. This combo didn't work very well then, but today it works now, especially the already mentioned length of the film, because everything was done and the film does not seem to be in a hurry or that it is missing something. The only minus that froze me slightly were the black lines on the sides of the image, which do not disappear, even during a delicious event, where it would be useful to see the thresher in full screen. Overall, he was surprised by the end, which still healed the film and is much better than the last one. Overall a huge surprise and Zack Snyder did something incredible. Finally, after a long time, we have a great movie, and I wouldn't be angry if Suicide Squad got such a longer version, but that's my opinion. So for me, a great movie that I can recommend.… Expand

I do not think its necessarily as thematically strong as something like BvS, which was already an overstuffed story, but here it is excusable given the sheer amount of characters needing introductions in this story. Given those constraints, the movie does a pretty good job. The first half can feel rather sluggish given the many slow motion scenes and the sequences of scenes may seem choppy, but once the movie starts to pick up, it REALLY picks up. Some of the coolest comic book movie moments occur with these beloved characters as the movie continues. Despite all of its flaws, I think this movie is guaranteed to entertain you, put a smile on your face, and make you feel for these characters. The runtime is a big deterrent to most people, and I do think there is probably a three hour version of this movie that is really well paced and still as strong in its character development and themes, but if you are on the fence, definitely give this movie a watch.… Expand

The first 30 minutes was kinda boring but what after was such brilliant i liked speed force scene it was a masterpiece. Jared leto did a good work very good scene. A lot of the more negative comments just seem to be from haters, but as a watcher of both sides of the Marvel/DC comic book movie spectrum I can safely say this film is everything a fan would ever want.

This movie is far superior than the 2017 abomination.
With great character development aswell as superb world building which pulls you in on the ride with the characters. However, I might add that cgi in some places was not up to par butThis movie is far superior than the 2017 abomination.

Much better than Whedon's disjointed take. Admittedly it was a bit long. IMO runtime could have been cut down if Cyborg had an origin movie. That being said it's infinitely better than Whedon's pacing nightmare.

The Snyder Cut is just as good as Civil War or Endgame, and almost as good as Infinity War. The Snyder Cut elevates the other movies in the Snyderverse by tying them together.
We need a sequel now.

I personally likes it very much. The Characters like superman, Flash, batman, Darksied, Steppenwolf and Cyborg made a big difference comparing to Josstice league.
