    It is a crazy good game. All you need is a group of friends and a voyage set. after that you are off on a journey, maneuvering past rocks, avoiding or engaging other players, getting side tracked from message in bottles. I can see how the solo player could find this boring, but for me it was been a great experience. I saw the Kraken yesterday attacking another ship and my ship went out ofIt is a crazy good game.     I get the distinct impression that Rare stumbled into a minefield with "Sea of Thieves", that being that there's so much prior pirate-related material out there (mostly in the form of movies) that a lot of players expect a pirate game to have everything they've ever seen in every pirate movie, ever.

    I didn't have my head up my butt going into the game and instead thought it was an incredibly fun open world pirate experience where the naval battles actually made my heart race, a reaction I haven't had to gaming in well over a decade.

    While more content would be nice (the ocean itself needs more danger, IMO), I'm still happy with the game and look forward to more insane naval battles.    … Expand

    This game is not for everyone but this is like the only game u can be an pirate in an open world multiplayer game, I personally loved it even if the gameplay is repetitive at some times. It is the fauly of the developer of this game to have crossplay with pc players because xbox players litteraly have no CHANCE! to engage a pc player in PVP.… Expand

    the gold you earn for complete these voyages can be spent in a variety of different ways, such as customising the look of your pirate, or your ship, you can also buy different weapons. The four usable weapons are a flintlock, a blunderbuss, a long rifle, and a sword. a maximum of Two weapons can be carried at once.

    the game is very fun to play with co op and even by yourself, but if you play it alone it can get very stressful as its a one man crew, so i recommend playing with some friends

    Graphics

    the graphics are beautiful with some breathtaking views with lots of colour to the landscape. the only downside to the game is the lack of content which if you payed full price of £40 can feel like a waste of money when other games such as far cry 5 are out at the moment. when the game gets more content added i will jump right back in to the action.

    but if you bought xbox game pass then this game is a lot of fun. and definitely give it a try if you haven’t already    … Expand

    Honestly a very fun game. If you're a person that doesn't like to choose what you do and buy games for the shooting aspect or the role-playing aspect of it than SoT might not be the best game for you. I love it because I can fight skeletons, fight other people, or just look for chests depending on what I want to do.

    juego muy divertido con amigo mas si te gusta la vida pirata te va a gusta el cielo y el mar de lo mejor de esta generación las batalla con otro jugadores son muy epica en contra de un jugador te se puede ser aburrido pero depende si te gusta y la falta de contenido que supongo que veremos mas cosas en estos meses

    Fantastic game. Lots of fun and the best sea physics and graphics I've seen in any game ever! This is one of the very few Xbox titles that shined this gen. Well done to Rare.

    An excellent coop experience with perfect cartooning pirate vibes. Sea of Thieves has been changing and constantly been receiving updates by Rare to make fans sail into the game again. Adding a story mode, multiple islands, more features and enemy factions. Without any doubt, Sea of Thieves is the best coop experience anyone can find only on the Microsoft family devices.

    "this is one of the most boring games ive played" is the thing i said when the game came out but now here in 2020 it is really one of the best multiplayer/coop games ive played in a long time. there is so many things you can do fx. you can be scared and only do voyages(missions) or you can play the good way by attacking other players when you see them(the way i play).     so this game is really good right now better with friend it has awsome grapichs very cool sound design(fx when you hit an enemy ship it make a cool musical BRUMM to make it sound like it part of the music. it also has really good adaptive music like when the wind hits the sails just right the music swiftly changes to some higher speed music all and all the music is awsome and know just the right moment to start and stop) and it has really satisfying combat so that is why i give it a 9/10

    also the game keeps getting updated every month so that is really cool
    the tall tales are also really fun to do and REMEMBER to get a crew or some friends on your journey because it is just that much better    … Expand

    I must say, I actually think this is a really good game. With friends it's obviously a bit more amusing but I like to play solo as well. It takes some time before it really gets addicted and really fun and many new players just don't play enough to see the beauty of the game.

    Do not focus on earlier reviews, because this game has come back. The tall tales are awesome, you could play just tall tales for 20 hours, AND THEN play the real game. A magical, fun, heartwarming explore experience.

    As someone that has played Sea of Thieves for a while, I’ve seen the backlash RARE recieved at launch. I stayed away, but it drew me in with its charming art style, and unique gameplay. When I first got Sea of Thieves, I was like a child in a candy store. The world was new, and expansive, and there was so much to explore. World events, new voyages, hot micers in my opinion, have saved thisAs someone that has played Sea of Thieves for a while, I’ve seen the backlash RARE recieved at launch. No loot boxes, optional battle pass, the emporium (in-game store for real money) is completely optional with sometimes even free items being given away.     If you want to fight bigger and bigger monsters with bigger health bars while getting bigger guns to chip away at bigger health bars then this is not the game for you.

    You play this game for the fun of playing with friends, chatting, sailing, cooperating, digging and hunting, getting in to storms with a full ship of treasure and nearly losing it all, getting attacked by other players    If you want to fight bigger and bigger monsters with bigger health bars while getting bigger guns to chip away at bigger health bars then this is not the game for you.

    You play this game for the fun of playing with friends, chatting, sailing, cooperating, digging and hunting, getting in to storms with a full ship of treasure and nearly losing it all, getting attacked by other players half way through a fort fight as they try and steal your winnings, seeing two other ships in the distance having a fight, and deciding you need in on this and all the loot should be yours.

    All the mechanics are solid.
    Sailing works well, fights can get very tactical, and there are lots of hidden items and emergent quests that come along as you are sailing around.

    The only thing I dislike is that fundamentally you are doing three types of quests, kill skeletons, dig up treasure, or collect animals.

    I feel they need to add some more AI interactions. Skeleton ships to attack, or pirate hunters who come after you when you have lots of loot on board.

    All in all it is a fun game, especially with friends. But the joy of the game comes from when interactions occur between players. The base mechanics itself can drag.    … Expand

    It's a fun coop game for sure. Great artstyle and amazing water. My only issue is the 30fps. It's hard to go back after playing Fortnite, Halo, Gears etc in 60fps.
    Would probably be a 10 if it was 60fps.

Compared to the boring and scripted events of lets say Destiny, or the vast empty blackness of Elite:Dangerous, Sea of Thieves is a colourful, humourus journey across a fantasy sea, which is best played with 1 or more mates. The "lack of content" might be a problem for people who exspect a dense quest system and hand holding, but let Your imagination run wild and join a crew of merry pirates, and its the adventure of a lifetime. Rare is finally back after their journey from Kinect games. The fighting mechanics with the guns and swords are crappy, though. Which is weird, considering Grabbed by the Ghoulies combat was executed perfectly.

Many of the criticisms are justified.... in its current state it feels like the game would have been much better off launching as a $40 title in Microsoft's game preview program.     however there is plenty to love and appreciate here. The game is beautiful, the world feels authentic because of the water and the weather and just generally all the systems working together to make the world feel like a real place. When you see an enemy ship on the horizon it FEELS authentic. as though you were out at sea and you happened to chance upon other pirates.

    A lot of the fun comes from keeping your head on a swivel and engagin other crews while you're out running missions or completing forts. In a way it feels like The Dark Zone from The Division. In that sense it offers a ton of great emergent gameplay and I personally recommend it.

    however i think most people would be safe waiting 6 months on this one. Price will inevitable come down and content will be added. There will come a point when the price/content balance will be struck. It really feels like there should be some sort of narrative driver in the game, as well as more in the way of life(NPC ships and populated towns would be nice, as well as innumerable other features.)

    Depending on how long the gameplay loop remains fun, the game may warrant a 7 rather than an 8. I'm not there yet so it feels like an 8 right now.    … Expand

    You start with no idea what to do and the game will not tell you. It forces you to explore your surroundings organically and creates a need to talk to other players.     I see a lot of users complain that there is nothing to do after the first little bit but I like this fact. Rare went for simplicity and function, over content and RPG. It is a Zelda Game! Remember that I said that they just drop you into the world and the content that you see is the first level stuff. The game will reward those that explore. There is other content but advertise it openly. In fact, if you look at the loading screen there are hints there at other things you can do in the world. Also, keep in mind that Rare has stated that they will continue to add stuff all the time. And there are Raid folks.

    OK, the bad. It is just a little to linear. I would of been nice to see some random things happen in the world outside of just the Kracen at launch.    … Expand

    With a beautiful blue sea and dangers all around, the world fells alive and filled with possibilities! The matchmaking is superb on its role to find people to play and communicate, making everyone work together for the same goal. There are stil plenty more things to be done to make the game even better, but until then the time spent in the ship is still boring AF.

    A parte divertida você já conhece, é o seus amigos jogando junto com vc cada missão e se divertindo com os imprevistos em alto mar. A experiencia de jogar junto, muda completamente o jogo, chega a ser outro jogo. Você também pode jogar o game sozinho, bancar o lobo solitário e aprontar, por que não, afinal vc é quem faz    Sea of Thieves é um jogo muito divertido e frustrante ao mesmo tempo.
    A parte divertida você já conhece, é o seus amigos jogando junto com vc cada missão e se divertindo com os imprevistos em alto mar. A experiencia de jogar junto, muda completamente o jogo, chega a ser outro jogo. Você também pode jogar o game sozinho, bancar o lobo solitário e aprontar, por que não, afinal vc é quem faz a diversão, tente roubar os navios grandes por exemplo, seja um doido do mar...

    A parte complicada começa agora, um jogo frustrante depois de algumas horas. Os pontos negativos são muitos, isso não tem como negar.

    Vou citar algumas coisas que podem complicar a sua experiencia, tanto junto quanto solo.

    - Ir preso ao jogar com outros jogadores. Chato, muito chato porque é um sistema de votação e você na maior das boas intenções se entrar em uma sala errada, já era. Sugestão, tirem essa droga do jogo.

    - Jogar solo. Você contra o mundo e contra piratas que ficam te esperando só pra roubar suas caixas de tesouro. Aqui você tem que ser um rato se quiser jogar.

    -Mundo grande, porém sem muito o que fazer depois de um tempo, o jogo pode cair na mesma rotina. O que resta é atentar os outros, juntar-se uma partida e ver como tirar proveito de outra maneira no game.

    -Mapa não procedural. aqui não é um defeito, mas, ter um mapa que mudasse as ilhas prolongaria o fator busca/exploração.

    -Juntar-se ao um amigo... que sistema horroroso. Se o você escolheu ir com 3 jogadores, se o seu 4º amigo chegar 10 minutos depois, já era, tem que esperar os 3 amigos terminarem a missão, fechar a sala e começar tudo de novo. O chato é , o sistema de loot que vc juntou no barco, perde tudo e vc tem que pegar novamente ( bala de canhão, banana, madeira)

    Ainda assim, o game tem chances de mudar caso os produtores queiram, continuo acreditando em novidades vindas de tempos em tempos no game.

    J'y passe de bon moments avec mes amis, les premières heures en coop sont magiques et valent l'investissement. Ensuite la routine et les quêtes FEDEX baissent l’intérêt du titre, voir le tue ...
    Le jeu nécessite des amis, qui ont le jeu, un abonnement xbox actif, des micros, les mêmes horaires de jeu.
    En solo c'est un très très mauvais jeu ...

    O jogo eh muito divertido, as missoes , invadir os fortes e enfrentar outros players dao muita emoçao ao joga-lo, mas a falta de conteúdo pode deixa-lo tedioso e enjoativo. O jogo tem um potencial gigantesco, so depende a Rare explora-lo. No gamepass ele vale, mas 200 reais ainda nao, ou espere att q certamente virão.

This has happened with way too many games at the moment and i really feel for Rare and Microsoft because of this. But i have had such a lot of fun with this game, absouletely tons of laughs with friends and fighting other pirates is a blast. Just gorgeous graphically too.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Sea of Thieves, its a masterpiece. If you don't know, there are 3 factions or merchants or mission types: Gold Hoarders, you find a treasure and you sell it, Order of Souls, you kill an amount of skeletons and a capitain then you sell the capitain's head, and Merchant Sailor, you found resources or animals, and you sell them. And that's it. With the gold you obtain, you can buy more missions, and cosmetics for EVERYTHING. You increase levels on each factions, when you reach 50/50/50 you will become a Pirate legend. And you will ask, why its a master piece if its only that? Because its not that all, there are Skeleton forts with some treasures, there ere other pirates to fight with them, and there is a kraken to beat or to be beaten by him. And also there is time to sink your ship.
    Obviously this game needs more content, and it has bugs. but right now its fun, and thats it porpouse.

    I was very excited for when this game was announced, and was awaiting its release. This is a very fun game with friends, and I love how this game gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. The graphics are beautiful and this whole idea is great. I love the ship and water physics, and the islands are unique and individually beautiful. I hope they can make the map bigger and have more islands, because they kept most of them the same from the beta testing. Glad this came out and is a great multiplayer and adventure experience. I have had a great time with it some interesting tactics can be deployed when fighting other ships which makes it all the more worth it. I recommend everyone do what I done and buy a month of Xbox Gamepass and downloading it with no further cost.. if I do get bored within the next couple of weeks I will cancel gamepass knowing I spent £7.99 to enjoy this game for a few weeks instead of £50

There is a general feeling of no progress being made, quests never expand as much as I would hope, and the promise of "legendary voyages" doesn't shine through the hours upon hours of repetitive voyages needed to get to them.    … Expand

    My dream game come to life. Ever since other Pirate games like Assassin's Creed Black Flag have come out, I've always wanted an open world multiplayer pirate game. The game is by no means perfect, as the game is a repetitive grind fest and the game could use some more content. Although if you can look past that, as I have, you'll see a fun, laid-back game that you and your friends can playMy dream game come to life. Ever since other Pirate games like Assassin's Creed Black Flag have come out, I've always wanted an open world multiplayer pirate game. The game is by no means perfect, as the game is a repetitive grind fest and the game could use some more content. Although if you can look past that, as I have, you'll see a fun, laid-back game that you and your friends can play for hours. The proximity voice chat is also implemented well and I've had hours of fun talking with randoms.

    If you're looking to (buy/interested in) this game, but not quite sure, here's a list of things to consider:

    1. This game is on the Windows 10 PC store and is fully crossplay (Even allowing parties on the Xbox app) but you WILL need an Xbox live gold membership so keep that in mind. (I was skeptical being a PC/Nintendo gamer myself) The crossplay is flawless though, and graphics on PC look spectacular and controls nicely. I would definitely recommend the PC version despite only being available on the infamous Windows 10 store.
    2. This game is grindy, meaning you'll spend a lot of time doing what feels like the same quest over and over. This makes the single player feel empty unless you're actively teaming up with other ships. If you like playing alone or you don't have a lot of friends with this game, this might be a deal breaker.
    3. At the time of writing this review, all upgrades are cosmetic. Plans for ship upgrades have been hinted at, however. (This full price game has no game-altering micro-transactions and has no plans for them, no need to worry)
    4. Besides other players, the NPC enemies are a bit lacking, they're only skeletons and their different variations (Shadow, leaf, gold, etc) and sharks in the ocean. If you're not a fan of PVP this might be a deal breaker.
    5. For those of you who are in for the PVP, some players take it upon themselves to hunt you down no matter what. This isn't the problem with the game itself but it's worth mentioning. It might get a tad frustrating to assert your dominance over a group of troublesome pirates that reap no rewards.

    And finally, the purchase price. This game is a full price $60 game, but its current content makes it feel like less. If the price is throwing you off, this game is available on Microsoft's new service, "Game pass."
    This game is 100% free with this $10 monthly service, there's even a 14 free trial for those wanting to demo the game before purchase. This makes the lacking content feel more justified and I strongly recommend anyone interested to use Game pass instead of a full purchase.

    This game is gorgeous, controls well, has an alright community, has flawless crossplay, and is a blast with friends. If all of this sounds fun I'd definitely recommend, despite its various flaws.    … Expand

When I play with my friends the absolute amount of randomness that occurs is great. Last week we set sail with 3 of us on a Galleon (under manned) and we knew we couldn't get into a fight. We ended up getting chased by another Galleon and in the distance we spotted a Sloop. WeThis game is exactly what was advertised. We decided to sail towards the Sloop and hope that the Galleon chasing us would take the easy bait. We laughed our butts off seeing this poor Sloop get hammered by the Galleon chasing us and we continued our treasure hunts after that. This is what the game is all about, making memories and stories with your friends. I love the community in this game and I love the randomness in this game. We are all pirates in this game and there are no actual "rules of engagement" in this game so be ready to be both the antagonist and protagonist in this great game.… Expand

    a beautiful game with an astonish recreation of sea waves. it really has some gorgeous landscapes. you can feel that weird mix between fear and solitude when you finish swimming in the middle of nothing, just waiting for the worse. it really would be nice experience for some VR device.

    I've had a lot of fun playing Sea of thieves its a truly unique game being able to form a crew and have naval combat, raiding skeleton forts and digging up precious booty.

    Although I have to be honest this is an early access game in disguise on release it was a very bare bones experience but over the past few months they have added a lot of content and they have a lot more on the way.

Outro problema que Sea of thieves enfrenta é a falta de passa tempos no navio (isso se aplica mais para jogadores solo já que que quem joga acompanhado pode sempre zoar com seus amigos) por isso um Sistema de pesca e pets seria muito bem vindo já que em uma viajem que não aprecem inimigos um jogador poderia simplesmente pescar enquanto o navio está em movimento ou brincar com seus pets na viajem. Mas agora indo para o problema mais grave de Sea of thieves temos a falta de itens não cosméticos, em Sea of thieves temos apenas itens cosméticos disponíveis para serem comprados que mesmo sendo interessantes não substitui uma boa espada e uma nova arma essa é o erro mais grava já que a Rare não aparenta ter nenhuma vontade de adicionar um item que não seja apenas uma skin diferente para as armas já existentes no jogo.

    No geral Sea of thieves é um bom jogo que sofre um pouco com o problema da repetição mas que te recompensa com uma jornada muito divertida em co op

    Nota como jogo mundo aberto: 9.5/10 Sea of thieves para mim é a definição de mundo aberto, você cria sua história e deixa seu legado no jogo e isso é incrível, a unica vez que vi algo assim em um jogo foi no incrível Minecraft

    If you hate cartoon graphics, the game will not convince you. Playing alone in the Sloop is the maximum difficulty of the game as well as stressful since a well-organized party can steal your treasures along the way or easily sink your ship. Many no longer have so much time to continue side by side with adventures.

    This game is a 7/10 for a game because all the missions are about the same, and for cool accessories, you have to grind for a while, but this game is 10/10 for a pirate simulator. The ocean looks beautiful, the boats are easy to learn and hard to master, hunting for treasure is fun and playing with friends who love this game is even better.

    This game is one of its kind. There is literally no sea of thieves like games. I love the ambiance and the setup, playing with friends, or meeting people is a blast.
    The game really is growing quite well. When it came out I wouldn't have recommended it but now it's a great experience.

    I think Sea of thieves has a great potential but this game can’t show it’s potential. Game is look so good I play on the Xbox series s and I’m impressed that game graphics but diversity is few and this factor soulles from game.

But after you find out that there are very few types of quests (and all of them was in betas), no interesting character progression and mechanics (especially fighting) are shallow at best, you are getting tired from this game's routine very quickly.     The engine, the mechanics, the gameplay are all brilliant in Sea of Thieves – sailing is so satisfying that you’re constantly looking to the horizon for an excuse to change direction or go explore something so that you can get your ship there... which leads to the biggest issue right now, there is a lack of content.    Sea of Thieves is an awesome sandbox that is just shy of greatness.

    The engine, the mechanics, the gameplay are all brilliant in Sea of Thieves – sailing is so satisfying that you’re constantly looking to the horizon for an excuse to change direction or go explore something so that you can get your ship there... which leads to the biggest issue right now, there is a lack of content.

    I have put in what must be over 30 hours so far, this has been a mixture of 4 man galleon, 2 man sloop and 1 man sloop gameplay (the majority of which has been the latter)… I am currently sat at around level 21, 17 and 14 in the following factions:

    Gold Hoarders – they task you with some treasure maps or riddles to find and dig up some buried treasure.
    Order of Souls – they throw out some bounties for NPC skeleton pirate crews that need hunting down.
    Trade Merchants – They need supplies in certain areas, often live critters like snakes, pigs or chickens and they have a deadline!

    These are all fun but arguably could be boiled down to simple “go here, find a thing and take it back” but the thrill of sailing, and the simple mechanics really do make it a fun adventure.

    This is very much a story game – not a written narrative, but very much the stories you end up with after an hour long voyage… It’s a game where you can be at the edge of your seat with a galleon pursuing you for your treasure, or be incredibly tense as a little sloop sails by playing their hurdy gurdy as a sign of peace…

    My friends and I keep telling fun little stories of events that happened in the game.
    If you want a game to both relax and have fun to then this could be it, but it can get hairy at times that’s for sure. If you want a game with a strong focus on teamwork and co-op, then this could be the game for you. If you want a reason to play the game including levelling up, unlockables and collectibles then this is not the game for you – this is a game about an even playing field and having fun. I hope to see more content as I do fear for the ultimate longevity of the game, but so far it’s a really fun adventure waiting to be had.    … Expand

    So far I like it when it's layed back and I can explore. But forced PvP is a cardinal sin. Yes it's a pirate blah blah blah. Doesn't mean that it can't have PvE only mode. This game is built and designed for griffing so enjoy

    O jogo tem visual bacana, é divertido em coop, mas não possui uma historia envolvente. Recomendo para quem quer passar horas com os amigos se divertindo e explorando o mapa, batendo papo, para mim se enquadra no mesmo estilo de minecraft, um jogo que eu particularmente jogo para relaxar!

But, with not much to offer at launch, Sea of Thieves is a game best to be bought in the coming months - once more content is released. Some would blame the Xbox Gamepass for the flooded servers, and being that this is the first major Xbox Exclusive to launch as part of gamepass it is very possible they underestimated the amount of people who saved up their two week free trial for Sea of Thieves.

    As a kid I played Pirates of The Caribbean Online with my friends and we heavily enjoyed our pirate adventures and I am happy to say Sea of Thieves scratches the pirate itch I've had for years. The graphics mostly the water, are absolutely stunning, my only complaint is the in my opinion, awful looking characters in most cases. For a game based on being YOUR own pirate it is kind of odd that you are stuck with a wonky random character generator, I myself spent 47 minutes trying to find the perfect character model only to not be able to connect to the servers on launch day.

    The gameplay is fun solo or with a team as you learn to work together and operate smoothly in combat and how to pull maneuvers like a dogleg to gain an edge in ship battles. At release the game has only a few things the betas didn't, the kraken and certain factions to trade for. I myself haven't encountered a Kraken yet but rumor has it that it's very disappointing. Chest grinding for sure gets boring and the game can become very repetitive however sailing the seas looking for other pirates to plunder or become friends with is extremely fun. Sea of Thieves is a game that you can play for 12 hours if you wish or just pick it up for an hour or 2 after a long days work. Overall the game is good and has great potential but if Rare does not get some fresh content out soon the game will tank.    … Expand

    A fun first-person pirate experience. Jump in your ship with your friends and collect all the loot you can carry, fire yourself from a cannon toward an enemy ship and try to sink them. Sea of Thieves delivers a lot of fun but can become stale, keep an eye out for new content being added to make the experience longer lasting.

The co-op offerings are absolutely flawless and I’ve been able to play with my friends who are on PC with no problems at all and each time we’ve played its remained fun and unique throughout our time with the game. Sea of Thieves also allows you to play on your own and whilst it does provide you with some enjoyable moments when alone it’s not as good as when you play with friends, but it’s still worth playing it this way at times. Something that really impressed me about this game was the world in which the game takes place. It’s very big and no island feels the same and visiting each island was a pleasure to do because there’s always something different to find when you explore deeply, which is great. Don’t get me wrong the game could do with more content but I’m prepared to wait because the content that is included is more than enough to keep you satisfied for quite a while and there is enough variety to stop things from becoming boring especially when played with friends. A big part of this game is obviously travelling on your ship and thankfully everything has been done to perfection here. Sailing feels great and adjusting the sails and doing certain things actually matter so there is some realism here. The controls also hold up really well and I didn’t experience any problems at all with them, which is a bonus. The presentation side of the game creates a wonderful experience for me and I couldn’t have asked for any more here. Visually the game looks beautiful from start to finish and I was especially impressed with the weather effects in the game. The sound design is also brilliant and it captures the pirate atmosphere really well, which is great. At the end of the day as a game Sea of Thieves excells in my opinion and whilst some people may moan about the lack of content I don’t see that as a major problem because you make your own fun and content when you play. I think Rare have done a fantastic job with this game and it’s a game unlike no other, and without a doubt I’m going to stay with the game for a long time because I’m looking forward to see how the game grows and develops. The only caution with this one is it will require continued updates to keep it fresh and worth playing. During the first 5 hours of playing the game i found that my crew would not work together and would result in various screaming call outs but like the majority of games the more you play the game the better you will get at the game mechanics and in the later hours of my play time i found that i was able to use a diverse range of strategies with my team such as crashing an unmanned ship into an enemy or outmaneuvering them using the islands placed around the ocean.
    The main complaint by people is that it has a lack of content but i think this point is invalid due to it being a sandbox game where you create your own fun unlike other games where it seems like work (Destiny, Eso, Warframe, ect). Often when my friends and I play those games where you just grind we address the activities as "i need to do this" or "I've got to get this later" in sea of thieves its just whatever you want to do.

    But for everything sea of thieves does right there is something tedious and boring right around the corner.    … Expand

This complemented with a grand open world and interesting places to visit really sell the game to fans of such games. I understand the repetition exists and progression is lackluster, however this shouldn’t prevent those who enjoy this type of game from having a blast. To conclude, I believe people who give subpar reviews are incorrect. This game isn’t bad, it just lacks the common machganics incorporated into modern games that retains massive quantities of people, but, for those who enjoy this classic style of make your own adventure game, it’s a masterpiece.
    P.s as for a grade, Sea of Thieves is by no means fundamentally broken so it is above a zero, but at the same time there are some possible balance issues with combat and a somewhat lack of replay value since gameplay can sometimes be linear due to simple quests. That’s why I believe a 8/10 is deserved for the hard work from Rare. Hope this helps them get back to making more!    … Expand

    The Water effect is excellent, the graphics are cartoon but very very beautiful. There is no tutorial and we can got completely lost in the begging, this is a game to play with friends, not alone.

    Se me hace un poco plano, obviamente si no lo juegas con amigos es poco disfrutable, de hecho el jugarlo en grupo eleva la diversión mucho. Pero en solitario se ve algo vacio. Espero que con proximas actualizaciones mejore ya que la idea del juego me parece bastante original.

    Un juego único de temática interesante con monstruos como el kraken y los esqueletos, pese a esto el juego luego de largas secciones de juego de torna repetitivo lo cual da una sensación de que el juego es mas una beta del mismo.

    We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]
