    I have to say that for the past two years i have not played it since launch .
    But when i did start playing it two months ago i just got addicted to this game it’s just a beautiful world to sail in and raid as many islands as possible. It literally makes a dream come true and that dream is becoming a pirate

Actualmente se trata de una de las mejores experiencias jugables que uno se puede echar a la cara en compañía de amigos. Un gran océano lleno de aventuras que se generan de forma espontánea en el modo Aventura, donde las misiones sirven deSupongo que las notas que se ven por aquí proceden de la versión inicial del juego, porque tal y como está ahora mismo es una auténtica maravilla. Actualmente se trata de una de las mejores experiencias jugables que uno se puede echar a la cara en compañía de amigos. Un gran océano lleno de aventuras que se generan de forma espontánea en el modo Aventura, donde las misiones sirven de excusa para navegar e interactuar con otros piratas: desde el desafío, abordaje y hundimiento hasta la alianza y beneficio mutuo. Si el mundo (relativamente calmado) del modo aventura no es suficiente, pásate por Arena a combatir directamente, con unas mecánicas perfectamente medidas para que la victoria llegue a través de diferentes posibilidades. Y, si aun así no te sientes realizado como pirata, hazte la campaña solo o en compañía, donde vivirás aventuras dignas de cualquier novela histórica de marineros y saqueadores. Y todo esto en un mundo que trata a todos los jugadores por igual, donde las monedas obtenidas son solo para adquirir cosméticos y donde la espada hace igual de daño lleves 1 día o 300 días jugando. La diferencia la da tu experiencia dentro del mundo. En lo técnico: el agua es impresionante. Cambia de tonalidad con la luz, se encrespa con las tormentas y se siente físicamente real. El diseño de los personajes es una genialidad: coloridos, estereotipados y muy muy simpáticos. Las mecánicas son para dar un abrazo a los creadores. Sin profundizar en menús infumables como en otros títulos, posees multitud de objetos útiles para tus aventuras: cubo para achicar el agua del barco mientras recibes cañonazos y reparas el casco con madera, farol, caña de pescar, altavoz para contactar con otros barcos a distancia, catalejo, brúja, pala, etc. Todos tienen su razón de ser. Y, lo más importante: es un juego de comunidad, donde la diversión crece exponencialmente en compañia.
    Quizá el mayor punto negativo es que para un nuevo jugador todo resulta algo confuso al inicio, pero creo que este primer escollo es realmente una ventaja puesto que te obliga a descubrir. Y "descubrir" es seguramente la principal mecánica de este juego.

    En definitiva, es una joya, una genialidad distinta a todo lo demás. Es sin duda de los mejores juegos que ha dado esta generación. Dale una oportunidad. Juega con un amigo a descubrir tesoros navegando en un veloz balandro y el tiempo se esfumará sin darte cuenta.

    Since most of these reviews were set, sea of thieves has progressed massively, adding new PvE encounters, a fun PvP ‘arena’ mode, new trading companies, and awesome story missions full of lore. Not to mention there is a new content update each month, bringing new missions and things to do with every one. The game is now very diverse and has something for everyone.     Highly underrated game, it doesn't not deserve the amount of backlash it gets. The game is pure fun with lots of content at the time I am commenting this. the developers, Rare, have been reinforcing the game with content and regular updates very well. PvP is my favorite part of the game, sinking other ships, stealing, and trolling other players is amazing. PvE and the skeletons are justHighly underrated game, it doesn't not deserve the amount of backlash it gets.     A very good game, which has been transformed over the years with brilliant continued support and now after 2 years of development there is a great amount of content to explore. A game that always keeps you on edge as you never know what could quite happen, from megs to krakens from ai ships to player ships, sailing a boat has never felt more scary. The price is also very reasonable for how good a game it is with many options £1 on game pass for a month, so u can try it out and see how good a game it is. And around £25 outright which is extremely reasonable for such a outstanding game. To summarise if you want a brilliant game with thousands of hours of content to play with friends on this is the game that will provide, the new updates have presented so many funny moments and I cannot stress enough how much of a great game this is.     J'adore ce jeu, depuis maintenant plusieurs années je me régale avec mes amis mais aussi solo, en faisant des fables ou même parfois juste en naviguant seul sans objectif... Bravo Rare pour ce jeu génial... Si un jour il vous viens l'idée de faire un bateau pour plus de 4 joueurs, ça serait pas mal :p

    SoT is so much fun, especially with friends. It is geared to multiplayer and that's not a bad thing, but you can do some stuff in a single player mode. I'm really looking forward to explore more of the game and seeing all the treasures Rare has developed for us to enjoy.

This game is really about what you make it. Rare has given you the tools to go out and have fun. In a lot of ways it reminds me of Minecraft.     After that decision was made i started to do the incredibly varied 2 types of missions (fetch a chest and fetch an animal). I spent days trying to optimize my fetching and i am now pretty good at it,    An amazing pirate game, that had me on edge right from the start. I spent an hour choosing between the the 2 ships (Sloop and Galleon). Don't want to make a mistake right from the start!

    After that decision was made i started to do the incredibly varied 2 types of missions (fetch a chest and fetch an animal). I spent days trying to optimize my fetching and i am now pretty good at it, yet not perfect. Once i become a true fetch quest master pirate i will rule the seven seas.

    At first the game will confuse you with a lot of items to choose from (banana, plank and cannonball) but once you figured out that you can't eat a cannonball or a plank it becomes pretty obvious that the banana is for health. I am still not sure what to use the plank or cannonball for but that is just part of the fun and exploration of all of the content.

    The most fun however is the combat. I can't get enough of the skeletons. They are everywhere in this game and they will keep you on edge while you desperately try to figure out the complex combat system. Do you press the melee button or the shooting button? Critical decisions need to be made to survive in this unforgiving pirate life.

    I would give the game a 10 but it needs to focus more and stop overwhelming people with content. The designers could learn a lot from games like Minesweeper or Tetris.    … Expand

    excellent game! sensational graphics, very good gameplay, finally something different and with several ways of doing the same thing. Plenty of content for a release, and logically, more news should come in the near future. A pity to see people who do not even have the game, make negative comments and want to spoil the experience of who is actually playing. I RECOMMEND ! WAIT WAS WORTH IT!

    Sea of Thieves is game about pirates doing piraty stuff. You Need to Play this with friends and in the gamechat and you will have the most fun expierience you've had for a Long time. Gameplay can get repetitive but there is hope in all of the future updates for the game!

    Look, I've seen games that deserve bad grades but not in the case of SOT, I believe these notes are from haters even though SOT is not the case.
    The game for his proposal is excellent! Of course, to play it is much better with friends is a unique experience.

    After the latest update iv really got back into this game and there is a ton to do. Not an easy game to play alone. Would be awesome if they introduced a 1 player lobby so you can't come up against a team of 3 or 4.

I guess reviews are not taking this in to consideration and its a complete attack on the game pass style service much like Netflix original movies are often attacked.     There’s been some negative heat on this game and a lot of it is quite unjust. It has it’s issues but is a thoroughly enjoyable game. Coupled with that it’s free if you have Xbox Game Pass, which means this game is fantastic value for money as most casual games will sink about 10 hours into it.

    The visuals on the game are quite fun and cartoony, expect for the seas, which are absolutely stunning and will be the beast water (visually and mechanically) that you have ever seen.

    The game mechanics are pretty solid, everything works as it should. The sailing mechanics can be tricky to master (especially in a solo sloop) but are very rewarding once you know what you’re doing. The gun play is pretty simple and shallow, so against NPCs you will fair pretty well but in PvP it can be found wanting.

    Visually beautiful seas (literally the best ever seen in a game)

    A great amount of fun
    Really good sailing mechanics
    Weekly events
    Very fun to play with friends

    I was one of the guys that was unsure of SoT. I usually need a shoot em up games like Titanfall and Battlefield 1. However, after playing several hours of SoT, it's a nice pace of change of the type of battles you get into, unexpected situations, the amazing group play, and the beautiful scenery.

    Its great to see that good old Rare is back! I mean this game has Rare written all over it. From the beautiful landscapes, over the top seamless Multiplayer, True course navigation and plenty of plunder, fire and RUM with bananas top top over it. Absolutely must have. Specially if you already have Xbox Game Pass!

    Played all the beta’s and finally the full game has arrived and it does not disappoint. There is plenty to do to learn the game and enjoy being a pirate as things are will be ramping up as time goes on. I’ve played this alone and with my young sons and they loved every minute. The multiplayer experience works very well and having to work together to sail your ship and complete quests is fantastic.     However, I understand that this is a game with faults, and hate to say that Rare have made quite a few. I played the open beta, I understand all the nuances with the boating system but can easily see why people are frustrated. There is no tutorial outside of the cryptic tips given during the loading screens, and for all Rare have put into making this system feel good they've completely skimped on an explanation. Sure new players can search it up, but when they're using Xbox Game Pass, why even bother when you can move onto the next game?
    Aside from that, I think Sea of Thieves is worth picking up if you are whiling to pick up some skills on the fly, and the visual fidelity as well as ease of basic mechanics such as movement and questing are great. While there aren't a crazy amount of different quests, there sure are a ton of ways to earn money and unlock sweet loot, so I'm pleased with what there right now. I thought I'd just add that I played a good amount with friends and also myself, and even when I was captaining a sloop the experience never got lonely whether it be by way of chickens or other inquisitive pirates.
    So would I recommend this game?

Sea of Thieves could definitely improve its storyline as some voyages can get a little repetitive and there is still a lot of glitches (this should be improved as the game evolves and gets updates). I personally love playing this game and i can easily spend an entire night sailing around the seas and joking with my friends. I do wish there was a little bit more in the sense of people you can get reputation with, but the challenging parts of the game (the skeleton forts, the kraken) are somewhat rare which makes it very fun and surprising when it happens. I'm happy with this game but i believe everyone should fully do their research before purchasing this game. It is definitely not a game for everybody.… Expand

    Fantastic. This game will evolve, it was built as a plain pizza base and the toppings are yet to be added. The added bonus of Game-Pass is great. It isn't worth £49.99 CURRENTLY however it is an investment for something that will progress and evolve with time. Buy it.

    We have nothing but respect for Rare's vision with Sea of Thieves, but it is a game as likely to chew you up and spit you out, as it is to embrace you. If the wind is in your favour then it can be a delight, but a storm is never far off if you lose momentum. The real test of the quality and efficacy of Rare's plan will be in how it manages to evolve and grow in the weeks and months to come. [Issue#199, p.67]
